Powerful bass
Backing up the four active woofers are a further four ABRs (Auxiliary Bass Radiators). These utilise the air inside the cabinet to deliver an extended bass response – at all volumes. If you want to really feel the full impact of cinema sound, then why not add a Dali subwoofer. Simply connect via the KATCH ONE’s subwoofer output and you’ve got an instant bass boost.

Connections for sound and vision
If you’d prefer a wired connection there are two optical inputs and an analogue 3.5mm. These are not only ideal for older TVs (without ARC HDMI) but also other sources such as DVD/Blu-ray players, games consoles and even CD players and network streamers. For newer TVs, the HDMI ARC (Audio Return Channel) gives a simple and high quality connection.

Dali katch one
Purchased 3 weeks ago. Once wall mounted really comes alive. I've heard things I've not heard before on really familiar recordings. Great attack and dynamics. It's hooked up to a azur 851n via 3.5mm jack from rca outs, and it's as good as anything I've ever owned. It's great - worth every penny. As a tv stereo sound bar just excellent. I bought it after reading about its hi-fi capabilities primarily and it surpasses my expectations.

Crystal clear, detailed sound.
This was bought as a replacement for a Sonos Beam Gen 2 that had a glitch. I'm glad the Sonos had a glitch now since I much prefer the Katch One. The soundstage is a little wider than the Beam and the sound in general is more detailed. Depending on the source, however, it does lack a little bottom end so you'll probably want to add a decent sub. But unlike the Beam the frequencies are better balanced and not all 'muddied' by trying to cram a rich, low and detailed bass sound into a unit that doesn't really have the size or capacity to produce one. In short, if you're happy with 2.0 and not looking for something that claims to do the whole virtual surround thing, I think the Katch One is a very detailed and musical soundbar, and paired with the right sub probably sounds awesome! Though I have yet to add one. The Beam was more impressive 'out of the box' but was trying a little too hard to impress with the low end which left the whole thing for me feeling a little closed and too crammed full of frequencies. That said, for the money it is still a very nice bar! And it's small which I know appeals to many. That ending up being more of a comparison than a review! The Dali wins for me :-)
