Experience the immersion of Dolby Atmos and DTS:X
Dolby Atmos and DTS:X use ceiling or up-firing speakers for three-dimensional and fully immersive sound. Whether it’s rain falling in a tropical jungle or the intense sound of overhead gunfire, Dolby Atmos and DTS:X put you in the centre of the action.
Extra height, without the speakers - Dolby Atmos Height Virtualization and DTS Virtual:X
As impressive as Dolby Atmos and DTS:X sound, it’s not always possible to accommodate the extra speakers. Dolby Atmos Height Virtualization and DTS Virtual:X Height Virtualisation technology go some way to help fix. Play any Dolby format and enjoy a more immersive sound with virtual height enhancement – using your existing speakers. DTS Virtual:X also creates a more enveloping sound from any DTS codec. Compatible with 2.1, 5.1 or 7.1 speaker configurations, DTS Virtual:X gives the impression of height and immersive sound.
Ready for 8K, with dedicated HDMI input
Featuring a dedicated, 8K compliant HDMI input and matching output, this Denon AVR is ready for the next generation of TV. Not only does the amp pass through 8K/60Hz signals, but it also upscales HDMI signals to the 8K standard, too – helping you make the most of your 8K TV with 4K UHD media. If you’ve not yet made the jump to 8K TV, the socket also handles up to 4K/120Hz signals, for the highest quality pass through and upscaling with 4K UHD.
Supports Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and Dynamic HDR
Equipped with a flexible 6 in/2 out HDMI interface, the AVR-X2700H DAB also supports a wide range of High Dynamic Range video formats. These include Dolby Vision, HDR10 and HLG. It also supports HDR10+, which enhances picture realism by sending dynamic Meta data to your TV, as well as Dynamic HDR. In short, whatever the format used by the film, game or stream, the Denon supports it.

As well as the widest range of home cinema options, the AVR-X2700H DAB also features a DAB radio. Perfect for when you just want some background music, DAB (digital) radio offers a wide range of stations, including the popular BBC 6 Music and 4 Extra.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mowlie_2000 from Always amazing, always honest I purchased this a few weeks ago and from having a conversation with Lee in the store he didn’t try and up sell me to a more advanced product as my system didn’t warrant it. He was happy (as was my wallet!!!) that I would choose an item that was the best in it’s league based on price and what I needed. These guys and their ethos is just second to none!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by PhilyB from Great for gamers. I bought this Denon receiver so I could use my PS5 to play my Blu-ray collection that output DTS because my LG TV doesn't and it works well for that, but then you'd expect it to. It also let's you game in up to 8K at 60fps, when that becomes a thing. At the moment it is doing 4K at 120fps with VRR, and works very well. My only gripe with it is there's only 1 8K port, so have to put my Xbox through the TV as the other HDMI ports only do 4K at 60fps, but that's not a big issue. It's easy to setup with step by step instructions, and plenty of sound options to fiddle with too. I haven't tried Atmos on it yet because I need to get some new speakers for that, I'm sure it'll do it fine though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Slopey from Wow First off, a very big shout for Roland at Richers Guildford who was brilliant plus he resolved a set up issue (me not the AVR) in an email. The Denon AVR was so simple to connect, and set up following the quick start guide enclosed. I had downloaded the 'full' instruction manual but like everyone else, didn't read it until all else failed! I'm not a hi-fi aficionado, but, the sound and adjustability of this AVR is wonderful and so much of an improvement on my ageing Onkyo unit. Quick important pros (for me):- A logical, simple and comprehensive set-up menu; an integral screen that even I can read across a room; a screen that actually has useful info on it; many sound options that are easy to experiment with to get to the best from your equipment; a quick select that holds your normally used settings for any connected device; a WiFi router password (notoriously horrible things) that shows so you can check its right before you proceed to connect. The only cons:- which is common to all makes: crowded, fiddly and small speaker wire terminals. Awkward when you're working looking down and the unit is propped up against the rack with your legs so you can't see the terminal holes and you've invested in expensive meaty speaker cables. So far, I'm extremely pleased with my purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Great sound music and Tv. I wanted to upgrade my hifi system from 2 channels to 3 so i could also enjoy Tv along with Music after months of searching and reading every review on the web I decided on the Denon AVR-X2700H DAB running a pair of Monitor audio silver 500 and a Monitor audio silver C150 centre speaker connected to my TV, Xbox one X, marantz cd6006, marantz st6003, marantz na6005 and a project essential 3 turntable i was worried i would loose the hifi sound due to using a avr but boy i was wrong the Denon unit is fantastic it sounds great on everything and powers my set up with ease i did not want a sub and i dont feel i need any more bass as the unit easily provides plenty of bass to my silver 500s i set the unit up manually not using the set up mic or audyssey provided and i could not be happier. I ordered the unit online for collection at Richer sounds Leicester a very pleasant experience with very friendly and helpful staff.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bloke from leeds from Sounds excellent Bought this for my living room. I'm running 5.1 plus 2 front up firing Atmos speakers. The set up is easy enough and the on-screen instructions are clear. When set up with this the sound is really well balanced and very impressive when listening to Atmos content. It's not super duper loud but it's honestly plenty loud enough to annoy the neighbours and if I listened to it that loud all the time it would get annoying. The on-screen graphics are provided by ceefax and laughable bad but this is an audio device so I'll overlook that. It does what you need and it's not too expensive.
