Eclipse TD510Z MK2 (Black)
Single Speaker
£2,250
”If you value timing, detail and imaging above all else, these are for you.” ’What Hi-Fi?’ – 5 Star review.
The floorstanding standmount speaker
The ultimate 5-Series speaker from Eclipse, the TD510Z MK2 features a built-in stand. This not only raises it to the optimum height but also provides the perfect support. The triple pin support with locking pin eliminates undesirable vibrations and helps produce a tighter, more focused sound. The stand is also mass loaded, providing further damping for accurate reproduction of deep bass.
Tilt to optimise
As well as providing the ideal foundation, the stand is also tilt adjustable. With a range of between -10 and + 15 degrees, you can easily get exactly the right angle for your listening position. When a speaker images sound as well as this, the tilt adjustment means you get the full effect – wherever you sit.
Single driver that gets to the heart of the music
Rather than using two or three speaker drivers, with a crossover to split the music between them, the Eclipse TD510Z MK2 uses just one. The advantages offered by a full-range driver include pin-point precision, consistent timing and a very smooth response across the frequency range. The fibreglass driver used in the TD510Z MK2 offers exceptional speed and agility for thrilling sound quality.
Vibration elimination solution
These speakers don't just sound fast, thanks to anti-vibration technology they sound exceptionally accurate, too. With a high mass anchor at the back of the drive unit acting as a vibration sink, distortion is greatly reduced. The cabinet also boasts a 'diffusion stay' which greatly reduces sound colouration from the cabinet itself. The result of this hi-tech design is an incredible sense of realism that leads the class at this price.
Egg-shaped cabinet for style and sound
The highly distinctive egg-shaped design not only looks stunning, it also helps improve the sound quality. The shape breaks standing and diffraction waves to give a less distorted, less 'boxy' sound. With such a small frontal surface area it allows gives the Eclipse speakers superb stereo imaging, helping to give a 'wall of sound' effect.
For reference imaging and consistency of sound, the Eclipse TD510Z MK2 tells it like it is.
