Featuring Planar Magnetic driver technology, the FIIO FT5 headphones sound open and transparent, getting you as close to the original sound as possible. The 90mm drivers are larger than usual, helping ensure a more consistent sound, right across the frequency range. The technology also improves efficiency, making these headphones relatively easy to drive from portable Hi-Res players and other portables.
Ultra-thin diaphragms for lightning response
After many hours of meticulous research, FIIO developed their ultra-thin diaphragms to have the best balance between response and bass depth. Highly responsive, the headphones pick up every tiny nuance of music, making it sound as though you’re at the live concert or in the recording studio itself.
Multi-magnet drivers deliver sonic consistency
With no fewer than 20, strategically placed magnets per driver, the FT5 guarantees consistent and linear driver motion. This not only helps reduce distortion but ensures that every part of the frequency response is optimised, giving you the most accurate sound from the highest treble to the deepest bass.
Flexible fit and lighter weight for comfort
Constructed from lightweight, magnesium aluminium alloy, the FT5’s are lighter than you might expect from such powerful-sounding headphones; especially ones with a total of 40 magnets onboard! The 3-axis swivel design also makes them freely rotate to comfortably fit around your ears. The headphones come supplied with separate suede and protein leather earpads that not only feel different but subtly change the headphones’ sonic characteristics.
High quality connection cable, supplied with four plug connections
For universal connectivity, the FT5 is supplied with four, interchangeable plugs. 3.5mm and 6.35mm plugs suit most portable and home hi-fi systems, while 4.4mm and XLR-4 connections provide the connectivity for balanced music sources. The cable itself uses 392 strands of high-purity, silver-plated copper, for the least resistance and most direct sound possible.
Supplied leather case
For the best protection when not in use, the FT5’s are supplied with a stylish leather case. The case also has a carry handle, making it easy to transport your precious headphones.
