Output and clarity is greatI had been considering buying a record player for some time and sought a lot of advise. In addition to the record player I was also advised about these Ruark speakers. As a result in line with the record player I also purchased the speakers. These are fantastic and the fact they are blue tooth means I have not trailing wires.

Superbly built and quality of soundBought about two weeks ago and absolutely blown away with the sound quality coming out of these speakers. After years of listening through huge leak sandwhich speakers which are still great, I was a little concerned these tiny speakers could not match the sound I am so used to. I was pleasantly surprised how good they art, the small size is so convenient with the added bonus of a full dymanic spectrum of sound. Well done Ruark

Very well made.I bought these a few weeks back to replace some JBL Creature 2 speakers and work with a new kitchen TV. They are fed by an optical link and work well. If I want music they have Bluetooth to link to my phone or iPad. I just use the remote for turning them off as there seems to be no way to do this on the speakers although you turn them on by pressing the top control.

excellent speakersThe MR1 Mk2 bought one month ago replace my old Audioengine A2 speakers, owned for nearly 20 years. The Ruark Audio sound cleaner to me and the Bluetooth connection works without problems from the start. I use them with my Apple laptop to stream Qobuz music, mainly classical and jazz and the quality of the sound is superb for a speaker of this price

OutstandingPurchased these speakers as I am having problems with my Ruark R7 after many years of service. I was not expecting the sound quality to be as good as the R7 but I think they are better. I have an optical connection for my TV aux in Sony Deck and use bluetooth for Tidal content. Superb at low volume and the remote is very handy. I would thoroughly recommend.

Great SystemHaving been so pleased with my Ruark R35 , I thought I would see if Ruark did speakers that would go with my laptop, and found the MR1 Mk2 System. This has proved an excellent purchase. The sound is very good and the speakers are very compact, fitting comfortably either side of the laptop on quite a small computer desk.
My only criticism, about which I feel quite strongly, is that the system comes without an auxiliary lead to connect the speakers to my laptop, meaning I could not set them up as soon as they arrived but had to go out specially and buy a lead.
As the website illustrates the speakers with a laptop, a lead,which costs very little, should be included in the pack, even if some recipients do not require it.
