With a wide range of features and great sound, the Pioneer A10 represents superb value for money.

Clean stable power

By using a MOSFET-type design, the Pioneer A10's provides stable, balanced and dynamic amplification. You get a crisp, powerful sound that avoids distortion right up to high volume levels. Its symmetrical power amp design ensures perfect balance between the left and right channels, while detail is further enhanced by the Clean Ground construction and isolated power supply.

Broad range of features
Matching the broad spread of sound is an equally wide range of features. In addition to four line level inputs and a recording loop, you'll also find an MM phono stage for a turntable. Two pairs of speaker terminals are included for adding speakers in another room, as is a headphone socket. A source direct switch bypasses the tone controls for more detail, while a loudness switch boosts the dynamic range at low volumes.

When it comes to sound quality, the Pioneer is amongst the most detailed and dynamic in its class. Ideal as a first amplifier or the basis of a second system, the Pioneer A-10-K is everything a starter amp should be.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great new amp This was a Christmas present from my wife to replace my 28 year old (!) Rotel amp, purchased for my 18th birthday from the same Birmingham store. Will this new amp last 28 years? I'll let you know in 2045. Until then, I can say this new amp is a revelation. The Rotel amp had obviously been on it's way out for a long time. This new amp sounds brighter and fuller. My speakers are nearly as old as the Rotel amp, JPW Sonatas from 1991 but they have been reinvigorated by the Pioneer amp. Vinyl, CD and MP3 from my NAS all sound clear and detailed. 'Mountain Song' by Janes Addiction just comes roaring out of the speakers. I like the Direct control so the Bass and Treble can be turned off and you can trust the music to deliver them. My only wish is that it could use banana plugs to connect the speaker cables but they are wired in now so hopefully won't need to touch them again for a while. All in all, a great amp which has refresh my hi-fi and ears.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from More than competent first amp I bought this a couple of weeks ago to replace my failing Teac reference amp. And I'm pretty happy with my choice. It has a clean detailed neutral sound with a slight touch of warmth, it has very good stereo separation and can keep pace with anything you can throw at it and it has a tight control with base and treble. Despite haveing a plastic facia it doesn't look in anyway cheap in fact it looks like it's ment for business. The only downsides is that it doesn't thunder or roar like my Teac amp could but then again it was a beast of an amp. But don't let that fool you as according to some tests (i do my research) the A10 can produce more than the 30 watts it's rated at so it shouldn't have too much trouble powering big floor standers (it's not something I can test mind and my floor standers are quite easy to drive), the only other issues I had was that I wish richer sounds sold the A20 instead as that has a remote and nicer aluminium dial's. And that the speaker terminals are quite close together. Overall it's a great purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Typical Pioneer Sound I had a Pioneer amp in the past(A400),bought this one for someone to give as a present,Tried it out and pleasantly surprised how good this amp is.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Value I bought this as my first proper amp and i must say i'm more then happy, nice crisp highs and warm lows. The main reason i bought this over similar priced ones was for the duel speaker outputs so i can run 4 speakers at once! I listen to alsorts from classical right across to death metal and this amp can handle it all easily. Loads of inputs too for all your audio needs :) The only one downside is that it doesn't come with a remote but at £150 i wouldn't expect one anyway.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Amp Bought this last month and I’m happy with the amplifier and it sounds nice

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pioneer A10 amp Excellent value for money, well built and sounds brilliant. I hooked my ancient but still perfectly functional eclipse cd101 (also bought from richer sounds many years ago) with QED leads and I was genuinly shocked just how good it delivered the sound to my now matching Pioneer speakers. The amp replaces my Sherwood one, again bought from richer sounds that stopped working after 20 years servitude.
