Direct drive for ultimate control
Like all the best DJ decks, the Pioneer PLX500 features fast-acting direct drive. The 3-phase, brushless DC motor with electronic brake gives fast, effortless control - making your mixes smoother than ever. Combined with the sturdy aluminium platter, robust cartridge, slip-mat and pitch control, you've everything you need from a deck for seamless mixing.
S-shaped tonearm with full adjustment, including VTA
Robust and practical, the PLX500's tonearm is the ideal match for the deck. The classic S-shape is tried and tested and favoured by many for mixing use. Just like you'd hope for from a professional deck, the PLX500's tonearm features a detachable headshell for swift cartridge replacement. It also has accurate weight adjustment plus the crucial VTA height adjustment - letting you use thicker slip-mats and deeper cartridges without upsetting the balance.
USB output for recording to your computer
Featuring a B-type USB you can connect up a PC or Mac. From here it's easy to convert the tracks into digital files - letting you playback your treasured vinyls any place you choose. Combine with software such as Pioneer's own rekordbox and you can also incorporate vinyl into a software based mixing system.
Line level output - simply add active speakers or your choice of amp
Thanks to the Pioneer's built-in phono stage (MM only), it's easy to connect this deck up. Choose from active speakers for desk-top monitoring or any choice of amp or mini system - if it has an AUX input then this DJ deck will plug and play.

Great record player & great customer service!
I bought this a month ago online from having spoken with the Preston team who were so friendly and helpful. The record player arrived within 2 days of ordering it and I'm so happy with it. 5 stars all round and I will 100% use Richer Sounds in the future.

Sturdy, nice design + features i didn't expect
Nice solid build, feels expensive, has a vinyl sleeve holder in the plastic case which is nice and you can play 78 if thats your thing. A rising tone arm is also a nice touch ands the deck speeds up very quickly, downside i found (could just be me) is that the slipmat isnt all that especially when recording to PC (i used my rubber mat) as i got less feedback and static. The cartridge does it's job but i changed mine to a Numark CS-1 for better quality.
Overall very pleased and a definate improvment over my Kam Pro 150 belt drives

Great features and easy to set up.
Cheers Richer Sounds for your help with this turntable. I bought it for my daughters birthday and she absolutely loves it, it looks and sounds great and was a breeze to get the tone arm and anti skate set up, would highly recommend!

New turntable at long last
Have wanted a new turntable for at least 6 months. Been to hi fi shop but wasnt impressed as all the turntables looked very basic. Always wanted one with a strobe light and spotted the Pioneer PLX500 on the Richer Sounds website. Ordering was so easy and arrived the next day. Forgotten how crisp vinyl records sound.Strongly recommended
