It broke within 10 mins of using.
Bought a recon model with a warrantt, lasted 10 mins before bluetooth gave up the ghost. Buy a new one, not a recon.

The sound quality of this speaker is absolutely second to none. I use it in the shower, when walking with my six month old in the pram, sorting the house and kids, out in the garden. I love it. It’s brilliant to just have an impromptu boogie with my wife and kids. I’m a musician and this is not simply a speaker, this beautiful thing is an instrument in itself. Thank you JBL, music is a massive part of my life and you have added a vital means of adding this vital part of my life to my home. I love it. Thank you! The only thing is when listening to audiobooks the bass can drown out male readers a little bit but that’s it!

Bought a “refurbished” model but couldn’t tell it apart from brand new and it had a full warranty
Great sound,natural yet powerful
You can see the little speaker pumping away yet it never sounds strained
Certainly enough for any holiday trip or barbecue in a typical size garden

Best speaker I purchased so far!!
I had a JBL go essential and even small, the sound was incredible so I had decided to buy the flip 5 because I've always wanted to buy the camo flip 5 and did some research, and first time I used it, I was so surprised with the sound quality, if you want a sign to buy one or go bigger this is your sign!!

Bang for the buck

Great sound at great price
Bought this in exchange for the horridly thin and underpowered Audio Pro P5 at the excellent London Chelsea store - I have 2 Sony SB23's at the same price point, and this beats them for clarity, depth/weight of sound, and power for music and spoken word. For use in my conservatory sized 3m x 3.5m during daily exercise. Very easy to set up/connect - small & light enough to be easily portable - well built. Excellent & highly recommended - very happy

Great sound from a small speaker.
Decided to get a speaker I could use around the house and garden.
So far so good really happy with the sound.
Easy to connect with phone with Bluetooth. With non Bluetooth items you need a Bluetooth transmitter which was easily set up, again with Bluetooth.
It also came fully charged, so usable straight out the box.
Good communication and fast delivery as well.
All round 5* item.
