World famous Uni-Q technology for a natural sound stage
The KEF Q150 uses a famous KEF technology to great effect, with the Uni-Q drive unit. This involves positioning the treble unit in the middle of the woofer, creating a single point source for sound across the frequency range. The end result of this is a broader, more cohesive sound that offers excellent stereo within a wider listening area.
A new damped loading system greatly reduces distortion, giving a smoother, more detailed top-end. The "tangerine" wave guide system helps the treble integrate more smoothly with the mid-range.
Aluminium woofer cone with Z-Flex surround for low distortion
Made from lightweight yet rigid aluminium, the woofer unit is fast to respond and linear in its response. This helps give life-like dynamics and low levels of distortion. Using technologies developed in their high-end Concept Blade speakers, the Q150 offers attention to detail not usually seen in speakers at this level. The Z-Flex woofer surround gives superior cone control, helping it blend seamlessly with the treble unit for a more even and consistent sound.
With the bass port now moved to the back, the Q150 looks sleeker than ever. Available in black or white the minimalist style is a design classic.
Ideal for quality stereo in small rooms or as part of a superior AV system, the KEF Q150 is a compact classic.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from The big sounding small speaker Having to change from my monitor audio floor standers I was more than a little hesitant but my good lady said they were too big and being walnut didn’t match the decor so the brief was a small white speaker and I am so glad she pushed me that way. The Q140’s were shortlisted and after the first listen it was a ‘must buy’ they sound incredible, the base is not lacking for such a small cabinet. I would go as far as to say the base is more pronounced and more alive than the monitor audios, and the crispness is incredible, definitely worth the money, we are both very happy, her with the appearance and me with the sound.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Andeeboy from Great performance for the price bought after demo with my own Rega Brio, compared against, Kef Q350, B&W 606 & 607 S2 Anniversary, wiped the floor, great detail, soundstage, more than adequate bass extension, for the price point hard to fault, obvious pro’s and cons in comparison to the other speakers demo’d but on the overall………..unbeatable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by NatasaPapantone from Kef Q150s I got these for my birthday a few days ago. Just finished setting them up, they sound superb. The finish and quality of the speakers to is beyond anything in this range. You’d be hard pressed to find better value for money in sound and build. Excellent product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kev27 from Just simply fantastic I bought these speakers a couple of weeks ago to replace my floor standing speakers which I reluctantly had to let go due to downsizing and no longer having the room. Really pleased with the sound they produce and we have a wide taste in music. Wether it's Classical or heavy rock that handle both fine. Can hear every single piano note and vocals are clear and precise. Richer Sounds very helpful as I selected these for home delivery without be able to listen in the shop first. Highly recommended. Purchased from the store for home delivery.

Rated 4 out of 5 by sin0011 from Great Bass and Highs but not Mid I paired with PM6005. Bass go deep. Highs spread wide and have details. However, the mid is not forward or not enough presence. Vocal, guitar, piano sounds a bit lay off and not enough body to it. Q150 seems to be tuned to V shaped for wider audience but not to my taste. Speaker returned.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Cumminz from Worth every penny Can’t recommend these highly enough! I have them rigged up to a Cambridge AX100 amp using QED cables and a Rega P3 turntable, they sound amazing on all levels.

Rated 5 out of 5 by jaybo25 from Excellent speakers - a surprise find! A lot of hype surrounds What Hi-Fi recommendations, and as such the bigger brother of these (Q350) seems to get all the plaudits. However, my store did not have those in white in stock and they were £100 more expensive anyway. Instead I was recommended the Q150 in white which were in stock. I paired them with a Marantz PM6006 UK Edition. The Guildford branch staff were very helpful and provided some excellent guidance during the process. I have to say that I'm very impressed. They do have a decent frequency response (I like a reasonable amount of bass and listen to a lot of EDM), especially noticeable with the amp's loudness mode when at the quieter end of the dial. This is even more surprising given their small size, however the driver is very similar to the LS50 - and a pair of those will set you back considerably more! I have these placed in the corners of a reasonable size room with a vaulted ceiling, and they easily fill the room with quality audio. If I were to be super critical, I would say that the treble is a little more directional than other units I've used in the past, meaning that if you position yourself exactly between the speakers, and the speakers are at 45 degrees to the walls of the room facing you, you will notice that the stereo image exists in a slightly narrower area. I was able to resolve this satisfactorily by simply having them face straight outwards from the back wall and very slightly tilted inwards, ie I simply widened the stereo centre. None of this detracts from my enjoyment of the units, however, as most of the time we are nowhere near the centre of the room anyway. The quality of the sound, even at very high volume, is superb. Treble is super clear, zero distortion and as said above, the bass reaches pleasingly low frequencies. In short, these seem to have escaped the detection of What Hi-Fi, but in my opinion they should be right up there as a recommended product. If you are after a more budget version of the Q350 or simply a smaller unit, then these will give you great enjoyment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by karsel from Fantastic pair of Speakers! After spending a month reading reviews, going through forums and watching You Tube videos, I managed to narrow it down to the Elac Debut 2.0 6.2 and the KEF Q150. Since I didn't have any HiFi speakers to compare with, I was sure whichever speakers I buy among the two is going to sound better than my soundbar. The build quality is really sturdy and looks great. I can hear sounds in music which I never heard before. Bass is quite punchy and doesn't suppress other ranges, vocals are clear and the clarity in music is not distorted even at high volumes. Overall the room felt filled which came as a surprise as I wasn't expecting it for their size. I have paired them with Marantz PM6006 and I am happy with it.
