Experience the brilliance of OLED TV, with the LG OLED55A16LA.

Ultimate picture technology
This stunning TV is the first 55 inch OLED TV in the range and demonstrates the superb picture quality that OLED is renowned for. Rather than using a backlight, OLED TVs feature self-illuminating pixels. This SELF-LIT technology means that you get 100% colour fidelity, infinite contrast with the deepest depth and stunning detail.

Power at its core – Alpha 7 Gen 4 processor
This LG 55 inch TV uses a new, more powerful processor for optimised sound and vision. The Alpha 7 Gen 4 processor features deep-learning algorithms that analyse and then optimise content. Whether you’re watching a movie or sport, TV or gaming, the processor adapts the sound and vison, automatically.

Ultimate detail - Dolby Vision IQ
For ultimate detail, in all environments, this LG OLED features Dolby Vision IQ. Dolby Vision IQ version uses data within the signal and light sensors inside the TV to adjust the picture quality for the best contrast. This improves the picture’s brightness, without ‘washing out’ the depth. You get a consistent picture quality, however light or dark your room is. Whether you’re watching a brightly lit sports event or moody movie, Dolby Vision IQ adjusts to suit.

HDR made better, with HDR10 Pro
LG’s powerful processing also helps in getting the very best from HDR10 material. Whether watching movies or gaming with HDR10 games, HDR10 Pro intensifies the regular HDR experience. HDR10 Pro automatically adjusts the brightness, enhancing colour and detail for a more vivid picture.

See the picture exactly as originally intended, with Filmmaker Mode
If you’re mad about movies, you’ll love Filmmaker Mode. Designed in collaboration with filmmakers and Hollywood studios, Filmmaker Mode lets you experience the cinematic vision, exactly as the director intended. Overriding the TV’s own motion and picture processing, Filmmaker Mode presents the correct aspect ratio, colour and frame rate – just as the filmmakers intended.

Welcome home - LG webOS 6 for the best in smart TV
Widely regarded as one of the best smart TV platforms, LG’s webOS system just keeps getting better. The latest webOS 6 uses your viewing history to recommend a range of shows and movies from across various apps. An improved home page offers improved graphics, with dedicated info and search boxes.

Magic Remote made better
LG’s Magic Remote has always led the field for simple, gesture and voice control. The latest version retains this, while offering direct keys for popular streaming services and a new, cleaner style. Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney + and Rakuten TV are all now just the touch of a button away. Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa also get dedicated buttons for simply voice recognition.

The hub of your home entertainment
Featuring LG’s ThinQ AI technology, you can control a Home IoT ecosystem with natural voice recognition. With both Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa built-in, it makes it even easier to control your LG OLED TV and quickly access the entertainment you’re looking for.

Make the upgrade to OLED, for less, with the LG OLED55A16LA.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simply Awesome [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had my TV arrive the other day and have just got round to setting it up. On first impressions you just get that excitement from the core when you open up the box and realise just how thin this TV Is. The product is super smart looking And I just could not wait to get it all set up. The picture quality is just insane I have an LG television that I purchased four years ago and the quality difference is just exceptional I have been able to completely connect this television to my entire Alexa surround system and honestly it is like being in the cinema. How do you certainly gone the extra mile with the simple remote control having all of the top television units available right now is a fantastic feature and certainly makes life very very simple when setting up the television unit. The pros: Very simple to set up also very easy to connect to other digital devices particulars we live in this digital world and we want everything automated via voice. the picture quality is 2nd to none and I really do feel like you are in a home cinema. The inbuilt sound system is excellent and it really does transmit the sound throughout the room and ensuring that you get that perfect quality and full details of the program are you watching. OG have done a fantastic job with the design and the simplicity I’ve been able to wall mount the television also. The cons: The only real Con but I can say with the product is the wiring local television is in the centre of the unit and it will be really really good if the wiring could be all purpose built down one side of the television so that when coming to tidy up all of the wires it would be a very simple process rather than having wires trailing across from the other side of the television to meet in the middle and then running down the wall through some conduit so that could be one improvement that that would be of great benefit other than that there is no cons the picture quality of the sound design well done Ldo fantastic job.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High quality image [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The TV was very easy to install, both to set up the stand and also to set up the account and link it with the phone. There is an option to install a number of apps, such as bbc, itv, netflix, amazon. Once you log into these apps it's very easy to access them - from the remote and also on the phone. The quality of the image is superb. We tested ultra 4k streaming and the quality was spectacular. The same goes for audio quality, considering it is not a home cinema. The remote is again very user friendly, it has a pointer to select your options. It responds without much effort, it was very easy to log in using it. The experience is smooth unlike the usual click the button style.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant quality and thinnest TV I have ever seen I bought this TV a month ago for my new flat and brightened up my living room and for my well-being as well. The TV is visibly so pretty as it is very thin and the screen looks sophisticated. The screen quality is great for watching movies or general live TV. There are lots of apps I can download which means that I can watch YouTube or Netflix or Disney+ at any time that I want. The delivery was quick and it was easy to set up after reading the guide provided by LG. The smart remote control is very useful and great at recognising my voice as well which makes it easy to navigate the TV. All my friends who have visited have commented on the TV on its quality and sound and its design!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LG A1 - OLED leads the way [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Primed by friends and family to expect big things from an OLED TV I had set a high bar for the LG A1. Nevertheless it has completely surpassed expectations and I have been blown away by what LG has accomplished. For anyone looking to invest in a state of the art TV, a few areas are often front of mind when weighing up your options. My review therefore provides a brief overview of the A1's Form, Functionality, Ease of Use and Panel Quality. Form - Set up out of the box is simple and mounting it to a stand, bracket or wall is achieved with little fan fare. Once installed, the razor thin side profile works to minimise the impact of having such a large screen in the room. Face on, the miniscule bezels of the panel are barely perceptible from two metres, creating an ethereal floating effect and giving the TV a premium, minimalist finish. Functionality - Everything but the kitchen sink. The interface provides a wealth of options for granular personalisation of your viewing experience hidden behind a disarmingly smooth webOS that gets you from off to Netflix in a flash. The TV offers 4K and HDR but that just scratches the surface when compared with the many headlining functions available, including an AI sound mode that enables the (surprisingly effective) TV speakers to work seamlessly with an external sound bar / woofer. Port connectivity is good if not exceptional. USB slots for external memory can enable live pause and playback on the native Freeview player, but gamers might be disappointed by a lack of HDMI 2.1 ports (although I certainly haven't missed this!). Ease of use - LG has clearly worked diligently to provide an intuitive and fast user interface throughout the TV guide, home screen menus and settings, with the magic wand remote being a particularly ingenious and novel way of navigating. You will have access to streaming apps for all the major terrestrial channels, as well as all major online streaming platforms, each of which I have without a hitch. Panel - there's little to say here other than this is by far the most impressive panel I've ever laid eyes on. Infinite contrast with over 8 million pixels and an adept motion processing engine leaves nothing wanting and I imagine it will be decades before I have a compelling reason to upgrade. LG has delivered an intuitive and yet comprehensive user interface, an outstanding panel and an attractive form factor. Combined, the A1 offers a class leading package that I unreservedly recommend

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome TV - Especially for movie lovers [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, we are extremely happy with this TV. We are new to the OLED game and are really impressed by how great the picture looks. I watch a lot of dark movies and TV shows and it's wonderful to finally be able to see the picture clearly in some of these scenes that I previously squinted through. The TV is also in a position where previously we couldn't really see it from noon until 3pm(ish). This isn't a problem at all with t he OLED. We have a Switch and are big movie buffs so having the ability to access all of these services from the Home screen without having to get up to switch HDMI ports over is a major plus for us. The TV connects with google home and initially we had some issues where the Wifi kept cutting out and needing to be logged back in (Probably an issue with our Wifi). We spent a fiver on a ethernet cable and this hasn't been an issue anymore. When we set it up initially, we noticed certain shows would have little pop-ups saying where things are from (Mainly love island, saying where you could get the bikinis from). This may be useful for some people but we didn't like it. We were easily able to switch it off - which is another thing we really like about the product as I've seen companies making it difficult to remove this kind of content previously. So far, we are really loving this TV. The picture and sound quality are great for people who watch movies and we would definitely recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Definitely A1! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have never had an OLED TV before and it has most definitely been worth it. This TV is above and beyond the HD/UHD viewing experience. I was most WOW'd by the self-lit pixels that guarantee everything colour and motion looks so crisp, sharp and smooth. There are so many picture modes that everyone will be happy regardless of how the TV is used (gaming) and irrespective of what you decide to watch. This TV complements all users and has endless features that I don't think I will be go back to standard HD TV's. You will not be disappointed!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a fantastic picture Couldn’t make my mind up whether to by LG or Samsung so trundled of to the big TV retailers to be baffled with the usual sales pitches. Got to admit it was a close call but decided to go for the LG OLED55A 55 inch. Got to say I made the right choice, colours bright and vivid, blacks and dark tones rich and sharp the sound is excellent and follows you around the room. Best of all is no matter where you sit in the room the picture is fantastic no distortion. It’s super thin and disappears into the wall. Easy to set up but loads of option to tweak the picture to your personal taste. Can’t fault it really really happy with the TV.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality of product Had this TV for over a month and I am so pleased with the quality of picture, especially the depth of colour and intensity of the black. I use it to view a lot of YouTube 4K content and I'm blown away with the image and sound clarity. Was a firm Samsung man but have changed my allegiance to LG.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great TV for the money I bought this telly a month ago to replace a OLED C6 I know it is a entry model and does not have as much options for adjusting, but the main selling point for my was really the upgrade to a 4th gen processor and the back light pixels. I have to say straight out the box was excellent the picture quality is superb, the automatic switching to HDR and dolby is flawless. I have my BT TV box and blu ray player all piped through my Denon AVRX6400H and all synced together without a hitch. Being the entry model this TV is no slouch and I am more than happy with my purchase and am going to enjoy watching movies in all there visual glory.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a brilliant TV OK so I thought that 65" might be pushing it a bit too far in my lounge but how wrong can you be. The picture looks so natural that I needn't have worried at all. The clarity is incredible, particularly with the UHD Sky programmes and out has brought a new experience to sports and nature programmes. The screening for eye protection must be working well as I have had no eye strain at all - I didn't get much before but this is even better. The sound quality is also very good but I have remained with the Sonos as that is excellent. I will get to grips with everything that it can do one day but for now it is fun trying new things and seeing just how much I can attach to it. The Wii, DVD Player, VCR player even and the Sonos all connect well. If I had a quibble then I could have used an additional HDMI port but have bought a small switch that sorts that out. Had the family in for the football and they were all v very impressed by the clarity of the pictured the true colour rendition. It has an impressive viewing angle and the thin surround is not at all distracting. Slighgtb reflections on the photo but a very bright day so nothing too serious. We re delighted with the set and very happy to recommend it to anyone wanting an immersive experience that looks set to last and bring the best of what is currently available. Pretty easy to set up and get going and looks great sat on its nice black cabinet.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice TV Very good picture and sound, I don't need to use my soundbar. Could do with more HDMI ports and better Instructions. Don't try to sell expensive warranty package in the first year which covers breakdowns and accidental damage. The first year is covered already by the manufacturers warranty accidental damage could already be covered on household iinsurance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant TV! Amazing TV, it really is all singing all dancing. I love all the extra features like being able to get to Netflix and such with a click of the button on the remote. The colours are incredibly vivid and you feel totally immersed in the action. The gaming mode is fantastic.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible vision and sound I bought this TV so my husband could enjoy the Euros, or so he believes I did. Really it’s so I can enjoy the Olympics, but that aside it’s a sound and quality like no other TV I’ve ever had and though it’s an impressive 65” the screen is so slim that it’s not bulky or an eye sore. My only negative observation is that there was a lack of setting up instructions so thank goodness for YouTube.
