The sleekest ‘Gallery’ design meets class-leading OLED Evo picture technology, with the LG OLED77G16LA.

New OLED Evo
It’s hard to improve on LG’s stunning OLED panels, but that’s exactly what they’ve done with the OLED Evo. The most significant improvement to OLED since 4K HDR, OLED Evo delivers brighter and more dynamic images through the use of a new luminous element. Detail and clarity are enhanced, pushing the LG OLED77G16LA even further ahead of the competition.

Ultra-slim Gallery design with built-in wall bracket
At just 24.1mm thick, this OLED TV looks stunning. The sleek ‘Gallery’ design takes pride of place in your room without dominating it. To make the most of those slim good looks, the OLED77G16LA comes with a built-in, flush-fitting wall bracket. This not only saves you the cost of buying a wall bracket, it also means that you get a bracket that’s dedicated to this specific model, meaning it fits absolutely flat to the wall.

Optional table stand
If you prefer to mount your TV on a table, optional feet are available as an extra cost option. The slimline feet complement the ‘Gallery’ style. Click here to see matching stand.

LG’s powerful new processor - Alpha 9 Gen 4
Capable of automatically detecting and optimising the content you’re watching, LG’s powerful Alpha 9 Gen 4 processor is at the heart of making this TV a spectacular performer. Using AI technology, the picture and sound are optimised to best suit the genre – be it movies, sport, gaming or regular TV. The processor on this 77 inch LG TV also drives the brilliant AI Picture Pro and AI Sound Pro.

AI Picture/Sound Pro for professional sound and vision
Using a huge database of over one million visual date points, AI Picture Pro uses deep-learning algorithms to recognise content, remove noise and optimise the picture. AI Sound Pro leans from more than 17 million audio data points, identifying voices, effects and frequencies. From here, it optimises the sound by genre, giving a more natural sound quality.

Ultimate detail - Dolby Vision IQ
For ultimate detail, in all environments, this LG OLED features Dolby Vision IQ. Dolby Vision IQ version uses data within the signal and light sensors inside the TV to adjust the picture quality for the best contrast. This improves the picture’s brightness, without ‘washing out’ the depth. You get a consistent picture quality, however light or dark your room is. Whether you’re watching a brightly lit sports event or moody movie, Dolby Vision IQ adjusts to suit.

HDR made better, with HDR10 Pro
LG’s powerful processing also helps in getting the very best from HDR10 material. Whether watching movies or gaming with HDR10 games, HDR10 Pro intensifies the regular HDR experience. HDR10 Pro automatically adjusts the brightness, enhancing colour and detail for a more vivid picture.

See the picture exactly as originally intended, with Filmmaker Mode
If you’re mad about movies, you’ll love Filmmaker Mode. Designed in collaboration with filmmakers and Hollywood studios, Filmmaker Mode lets you experience the cinematic vision, exactly as the director intended. Overriding the TV’s own motion and picture processing, Filmmaker Mode presents the correct aspect ratio, colour and frame rate – just as the filmmakers intended.

Game Optimiser with HFR, VRR and ALLM for a gaming advantage
Game Optimiser utilises a dedicated gaming menu, letting you select and control specific gaming features, such as Reduce Blue Light, Prevent Input Delay, VRR and AMD FreeSync. Equipped with a full HDMI 2.1 interface (all four sockets), this LG TV gets the very best from your choice of gaming source. ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode) and VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) mean that your TV automatically adjusts to the optimised settings for gaming – giving you a smoother and faster response.

4.2 speaker system, AI Sound Pro and Dolby Atmos compatible sound
Featuring a built-in, 4.2 speaker system, the OLED77G16LA offers a more immersive sound than the lower models. Power is also up 50% to 60 watts – giving a rich, room-filling sound. Using AI algorithms, AI Sound Pro up-mixes two-channel audio to virtual 5.1 sound – giving a much more immersive sound and enhanced dialogue. With a Dolby Atmos processor built-in this LG 77” TV decodes Atmos sound tracks - giving you the potential for an even more enveloping sound.

Welcome home - LG webOS 6 for the best in smart TV
Widely regarded as one of the best smart TV platforms, LG’s webOS system just keeps getting better. The latest webOS 6 uses your viewing history to recommend a range of shows and movies from across various apps. An improved home page offers improved graphics, with dedicated info and search boxes.

Magic Remote made better
LG’s Magic Remote has always led the field for simple, gesture and voice control. The latest version retains this, while offering direct keys for popular streaming services and a new, cleaner style. Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney + and Rakuten TV are all now just the touch of a button away. Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa also get dedicated buttons for simply voice recognition.

The hub of your home entertainment
Featuring LG’s ThinQ AI technology, you can control a Home IoT ecosystem with natural voice recognition. With both Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa built-in, it makes it even easier to control your LG OLED TV and quickly access the entertainment you’re looking for.

If you’re looking for the very best on TV design and performance, your search stops here.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best TV I have ever seen I have now had this TV on the wall for about a week and I struggle to believe just how good the picture is, can't comment on the sound as I use a Richer Sounds installed surround sound system. It is just so easy to use when you get used to the cursor and the menu system - it even invites you rearrange your apps if you are using one more then in the current order! Tip: If you have Sky Q it told me that the HDCP settings on the TV were not up to date so could connect to the TV, and it still didn't work after the software update that LG claimed would fix it. After much rummaging the world on Reddit by my Son he discovered someone who stated he fixed it by putting the Sky Q HDMI direct in to HDMI 1 and that seemed to fix it, and then move it back into your Sound system the next day and all would be well. I don't know if you really need to wait overnight but we did and all worked from HDMI 1 immediately and from the sound system in the morning.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 5/5 definitely worth the price! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all, I would like to say that the Insiders did a great job updating us on delivery and having tracking available for something as expensive as this. Initially I had planned to pay a professional to fit the TV because I had never wall mounted a TV before. However, I decided against that because luckily my dad is a construction supervisor so already had all the necessary tools to do the job. It turned out to be easy, only took us roughly an hour to wall mount the TV and most of that time was actually spent looking at the instructions inside the box! The TV is thin at only 2cm wide! The remote is very comfortable and quite light, but the best thing about it is the motion controlled pointer with gyroscope. This allows for much quicker navigation of the menus than most TVs, including typing text on apps such as Youtube which we use frequently. The TV turns on instantly, timed it at roughly 3 seconds. The picture is amazing, especially when watching 4k content, however surprisingly even standard definition content looks a lot better than my old TV as the colours are much more vibrant. The TV has great viewing angles so even when looking at it from the corner of the room the image will still look exactly the same as looking at the TV head on. What I would say is because the TV is near a window I have had to increase the brightness in the settings for daytime viewing but this TV does get very bright if you need it to, I only had to slightly increase the brightness to get a clear picture - up to 65 (originally at 50). With blinds/curtains closed and in particular with the lights off is when the TV looks amazing and the colours pop even more. Be sure to remove the protective film that is installed on the TV once you have wall mounted it as it unnecessarily makes the picture blurrier. The TV comes with 4 HDMI 2.1 ports with all the latest tech built in such as HDR and VRR. This TV is future proof for at least the next 6 years, especially for video gaming. The input lag is super low on this TV which is great for gaming and for something like Xbox Series X as it has all the necessary features to take full advantage of the system. In fact I would say the Xbox is lagging behind as very few games currently run at 4k and 120fps with HDR10 or Dolby Vision, an example of why this TV is definitely future proofed. There is a great game optimizer option which allows for all sorts of settings to make your games run to their full potential. Highly recommend to all!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality TV I had the TV nearly a week now and have been so impressed with the picture quality and being so flat to the wall with out any cables showing is a great feature. I have not used the Gaming connection yet so can't comment other than to say if it's up to the standard of everything else then it's going to be great. I thoughly recommend this TV from LG

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Why didn't I buy the G1 77? I cannot believe the price has dropped by 8% already! That said, the LG G1 is a great TV but after having the 66" on the wall for less than a week, I wished I had brought the larger 77". There's not much that I can fault in terms of the user interface or connectivity. Picture quality, colour and contrast is impressive as you would expect from a premium product. The audio (even without a sound bar) is excellent although the bass could be improved but given the thinness of the TV, it is remarkable how good the built in speakers are. Not to worry... connected to my existing amp/receiver, it is everything I was looking for. The remote control even is very intuitive although the buttons for Netflix, Disney, Prime and Rokuten is unnecessary especially as not everyone subscribes all of them.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Where is the user manual Complicated. In the olden days you were given a user manual in the box with your new TV. I am still trying to navigate the settings about a month or so later. Everything's online or digital now I get it but I would still have liked the old fashioned owners manual to read just like you have for the car when it's new. The TV itself is stunning in every aspect but has settings and options I don't understand.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Questionable build quality Broke on day 1. Defective motherboard. Replaced by the original retailer. Apparently a common problem and begs the question how well built is this TV. 12 months warranty doesn't inspire me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow! This TV is a beast - a huge upgrade compared to my 55” C8 from 2018. We’ve got it mounted on the optional feet at the moment and will wall mount when we move to our new house. The Evo panel honestly doesn’t feel too different or much brighter to me, but the biggest difference is in upscaling and motion handling, which are both so much better on the G1 than they were on my C8. Another of my favourite features is AI Sound Pro, which really makes a difference in sound quality (as much as I know that lots of people would cringe at the ‘inaccuracy’ of it!). It makes everything so much more punchy and works brilliantly with a Sono Arc sound system. It’s an extremely expensive TV and definitely an unnecessary luxury, but as someone who loves films and TV shows, it’s worth the money. It feels like we have a cinema in our living room, but better quality…! The only down side is that for the price, I expected it to clean the house and make my breakfast, but it’s a fair compromise I think!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great TV..... Great screen. Unfortunately does not come with stand as designed for wall mounting, so had to purchase separately. Set up is easy and functionalities are numerous and easy use! Def the best large screen TV out there currently.... They don't warn you of slight indentations in the screen. As I found out this is common with larger screens, however replacement is good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great TV Just thought, you’re only here once, so why not get the new LG TV, great TV, fantastic picture, haven’t used the sound that much as that goes via my Kef speakers. The remote takes a bit to get used to, but all good now. Setting up the TV was easy, however signing in to all the support Apps is a bit of a pain. The bracket is easy to fit, after all who put their TV on a stand nowadays….

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Follow up review I wrote a review a few weeks back, but after some additional use and moving my main Sky Q box I thought I would update my original comments. The TV does an excellent job when fed with Ultra HD / 4K content and it’s a must to have it connected to your main Sky Q box and not a Sky mini. All content now looks excellent and I am particularly impressed with UDH & 4K content. So well worth buying.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great I boight this item a few weeks ago. Its features are amazing. The picture out of the box is fine, but can be improved with some simple adjustments. The 60fps with the ps5 looks very smooth. I have not tried out the 120fps native options as there is very little content, though this should increase in the future. The tv looks very nice on the wall, however for the full effect there would need to be a lot of preperation to ensure that wires on show are minimised. Please note that wires for hdmi inputs need to be longer than usual as they need to be routed along the back and then down the tv. This means that the default hdmi2.1 ps5 cable is too short. Longer lengths can be expensive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cinema at home This is the second LGTV I have owned having previously had the 55EF95 for the last four years and been really impressed with it we just moved house and realised that it was time for an upgrade and we needed a bigger screen. So purchasing the G1 was a big investment but so worth it. It looks amazing on the wall so simple to fit with the integrated wall fixings and so slim it really does just fit in the room perfectly despite its 77 inch size. I wondered what a difference I would say in picture quality against my old LG, I can’t say I’m disappointed the vividness of the colours and the blacks are absolutely amazing I feel like I might have to watch some of my favourite movies again just to see what they look like on the screen. All in all so pleased with this purchase

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Gallery? Misnomer. Significant drawbacks... The actual unit is compact, mounts to the wall beautifully and looks like a picture frame hanging there. The screen itself is excellent, the best. However the software and support are another story. The so-called Gallery mode has significant restrictions: you can't set your own pictures and worst of all, unless you actually start the gallery it comes up with a large black box that wanders all over the screen telling you that there are no inputs. For users like me who don't use the smart features *at all*, preferring the security and wide content range of an Apple TV this is a show-stopper. I bought this TV a year ago, and after discovering this problem, read online that literally thousands of people have been requesting the removal of the "No Input" dialog since at least 2018. The standard response from LG is "Please fill in a Voice of the Customer Report (VOC), well many of us have with zero feedback. Don't bother with the Gallery TV unless you want to sit down every time and activate Gallery manually...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We would buy it again! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my new TV! We have it in the living room and use it for watching TV and for gaming. The picture is amazing, it looks so realistic! It has definitely improved the kids gaming experience! The sound is just as good. It sits sleek on the wall due to the thin surround and it was super easy to install the wall bracket. The remote is easy to use and I love the built-in smart features, as do the kids.-it has everything we need on it. The Google Assistant and hands-free voice control are so convenient. This has been the best purchase of the year for all of the family. If we needed another TV we would buy this again for sure!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LG are the kings of OLED [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Opening this TV and seeing how thin it is, is truly remarkable. It sits flat against the wall with the included wall mount. The contrast is simply on another level and makes it insanely good to watch 4k films and tv shows. Especially given it has HDR too. I didn’t think I would be using this for gaming but the 120hz display and nvidia gsync support make it a compelling choice. This TV is the gift that keeps on giving, there’s nothing it can’t do. I’ve been using it with my 3070 which seems to be coping pretty well so far. I was initially going to go for the CX but waiting long enough to see the 2021 series of TV come out and seeing the new OLED EVO panel on the G series with improved brightness I simply had to have it. This TV does not disappoint. My criticisms would be that WebOS seems to now takeover the whole screen which is a bit frustrating as you can’t have something on in the background. Having said the above, I haven’t had the TV long so there may well be more things to both praise and criticise.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Amazing TV! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After wanting to upgrade from a smaller screen tv which was a couple of years old we decided to bite the bullet and get a new tv from this campaign. The screen is incredible, the level of depth and colour is really impressive and much better than anything we have used previously and it is quite a drastic upgrade which we didn't actually expect. The only real problem we have is with the sound, we find we have to change the volume quite frequently between watching different things. For example, for movies we have to really crank it up but if I am watching a youtube video it has ot be turned down quite a bit. The smart interface is a bit cluttered but this probably just needs some investigating to work out how to customise this for ourselves as I am sure this will be possible.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LG G1 Review - OLED is a gamechanger! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Shipping, Box, & Mounting: Packaging for the G1 held up well to the usual shipping issues. We were concerned that it would be possible to damage the TV when lifting due to it being so thin and having very little bezel area to hold. There was an included diagram to show how to lift correctly, however feel it could be improved with more details. Despite being quoted at a similar 20KG to our previous TV, the G1 felt lighter and much easier to lift into position and mount on the wall. First time setup: Once we had connected all our cables to the G1, HDMI devices & ethernet, we discovered the power cable for the G1 isn't removable nor extendable. For more modern installations this shouldn't be a problem, as most will now have a cutout in the wall behind the TV for sourcing power, however it is very much a strech to our nearest outlet, so do take into consideration if you are replacing an older TV. Digital TV: Freeview HD pictures look absolutly great at watching distance, even standard def content doesn't look bad streched to the 55" size & 4K resolution. We set all our inputs to Filmmaker Mode and adjusted to personal perferences, as this is one of the more accurate picture modes. Using the guide is very easy. The guide is grey and rather bright for my personal taste, and only provides a small window of the current content being watched. I also think the guide is scaled a bit too large with less than 10 channels visible without pressing Pg. Down. Streaming Applications: As heavy users of YouTube, a 4K HDR supporting app has made watching our favourite creators easier and simpler than before. Content is very sharp, and colours are more vibrant than DTV broadcasts (in the same picture mode, with the same settings). Amazon Prime streaming content such as Terminator 1 & 2 in 4K HDR, and The Grand Tour also in 4K HDR is wonderful. Other notes: We all absolutly love the G1, having replaced a now over 10yr old TV - this TV used to help heat the room, and you could feel it from a good few steps away. Now with the G1, you can rest your hand on the screen (don't do this yourself) and can feel no warmth at all, even after being on for most of the weekend, and many hours of HDR content being played on it! I would recommend this TV to anyone that could afford it because of the OLED panel with those deep blacks, as it really is a gamechanger and you won't want to go back!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Picture Perfect It took the power on button to understand the hype around this OLED panel. The response from my installation assistant was "That Black is Black!" Even from the initial setup screen you can see how good the picture is. The colours are bright and the darks are dark, even in the Eco display the richness of colour is excellent, and switch to Vivid and you have yourself a technicolour dreamcoat of a screen! Paired with my set top box on 2160p 10 bit setting the G1 automatically adjusted the display to deeper rich colours so there was no work needed to find the optimum settings. The G1 is super thin too, you almost don't notice it's there from the side profile, you have to double check when you walk in that it hasnt disappeared! That being said it doesn't stop the G1 from packing some weight, over 20kg, making it a 2 person install job! The UEX is nice, things seem to all be in one place on the home screen which is handy and the menus are easy to navigate. There is a great selection of apps available from the webOS so plenty of options to suit your subscriptions. The quick menu offers a number of useful options and can be customised to suit your requirements. But the extended menu could be a little friendlier, the ability to simply go back from a selected menu isn't there and you have to start from the beginning if you go into the wrong option. Connectivity for sound is also a little frustrating, using a soundbar for audio when watching through built in apps I found you have connect via Bluetooth, but it doesn't seem to connect automatically, despite being the only device paired, you have to manually select, waiting for a menu to appear to select the device then another menu to connect. It's a bit of an unnecessary process. It's what loses a star for me to be honest. The sound itself is as expected from a wall mounted TV, so I'd say a soundbar is needed if you want that proper Dolby Atmos experience, the TV speakers just don't live up to a full set up if you are used to it. If you are in the market for an OLED then it's what you should expect to pay, 55 inches is probably too small to do the G1 justice, you want that big screen, big colour, experience but for that you will to have to pay for it. There are probably cheaper alternatives out there so I'd say it comes down to brand preference. You know what to expect from LG, and the G1's look and feel warrant the price tag. It's a great looking product, and performs to an exceptional level. Picture perfect!
