Featuring Monitor Audio’s iconic gold C-CAM tweeter dome, the treble response is tuned for a crisp, low distortion sound, that’s free from harshness. The compact bass cone features distinctive RST (Rigid Surface Technology). Inspired by the Japanese art of Origami, the lightweight cone is made more rigid by the precise pattern of surface dimples. It makes the bass and mid-range sound lifelike and detailed.
Punchy bass
Thanks to the HiVe II High Velocity bass port, the Apex A10 delivers deep, fast-flowing bass that’s always in time with the music. The highly rigid, die-cast alloy cabinet also helps in offering a vibration-free, ultra-low distortion housing.

Superb compact speakers
Although primarily purchased as a stereo pair it's obvious these speakers would make a great home cinema system. As a stereo pair used primarily for music reproduction they really don't need the addition of a sub-woofer whereas for home cinema use a sub would be essential to reproduce the low frequency effects in film soundtracks. As stereo music reproducers they are superb and easily equal or better my previous reference stereo speakers, Bowers & Wilkins DM4. Due to the front firing port I haven't found the bass reproduction suffers significantly if position quite close to a rear wall. Highly recommended.
