Cutting-edge technology derived from the Platinum II range keep this speaker at the top of its class. MPD (Micro Pleated Diaphragm) tweeters deliver exceptional detail that’s backed up by lifelike mid-range and bass from the hybrid woofer cones. The perfect match for Monitor Audio’s Gold-Series, the Gold C250 is a formidable centre speaker. Although far from compact, its larger dimensions mean a weighty, dynamic sound that easily keeps up with the other Gold speakers – including the mighty Gold 300s (that sound superb as front speakers). A sealed speaker cabinet makes it easy to place in a confined space, such as in a cabinet or shelf, without constricting the sound quality.

Featuring a dedicated mid-range drive unit, the Gold C250 picks up every nuance of dialogue. Ideal in a centre speaker, this high level of resolution means you hear dialogue clearly – even when the drama surrounding it is intense.
MPD treble unit for stunning top-end resolution
Derived from the flagship Platinum range, MPD tweeters use a Micro Pleated Diaphragm to deliver stunning top-end detail. By pleating the tweeter’s shape, the surface area is increased eight-fold. Working by squeezing the pleats, like a super-fast accordion, gives the treble an incredible response – right up to 50,000Hz. What this means is you get uncompressed harmonics for a spacious and life-like top-end performance.

Using twin RDT II (Rigid Diaphragm Technology), woofer units, the Gold C250 delivers total precision. Constructed from a hybrid sandwich of Nomex and woven carbon fibre, they deliver the ideal balance of lightness and rigidity.
