Monitor Audio Silver 100 (White)
Speakers Per Pair

A bigger speaker that’s still sleek
Despite the Silver 100’s sleek good looks, this doesn't stop it from offering a powerful performance that can shame some much larger speakers. Making use a powerful 8" bass cone, the Silver 100's have a bass response that drops right down to 40Hz - easily matching or beating many floorstanding speakers. This means that, even in larger rooms, the Silver 100 is unfazed by the most powerful music.
The best drive units – improved
Featuring a completely new version of Monitor Audio’s iconic gold tweeter dome, the treble response is better than ever. Tuned for a crisp, low distortion sound, the top-end is sweeter than ever. The powerful 8” bass cone features distinctive RST (Rigid Surface Technology). Inspired by the Japanese art of Origami, the lightweight cone is made more rigid by the precise pattern of surface dimples. It makes the bass and mid-range natural-sounding and effortlessly flowing.
With technology from the Platinum series
Evolved from the reference quality Platinum models, the Silver 100 features DCF (Dynamic Coupling Filter). This replaces the usual, solid coupling of driver and voice coil with a flexible coupling. This helps damp any surplus energy, aiding the precison of sound. The perforated design also helps with cooling and pressure relief – giving enhanced efficiency.
Cabinets designed with help from the National Physical Laboratory
Designed with the aid of a precision laser scanner from NPL (National Physical Laboratory), the handcrafted cabinets are exceptionally well built. The scanner identified areas of cabinet resonance making the placement of the bracing pin-point accurate. Ultra-low cabinet distortion lets the drive units perform unimpeded, giving you the clearest and most natural sound going.
Slim-line and superbly finished to match your decor
Available in a wide range of premium real wood veneers and high gloss finishes, the Silver 100 looks every bit as good as it sounds. The new tweeter features a smart speckled finish for individual style. A slim-line design with rear-mounted port looks sleek and makes these speakers unobtrusive in your home. Magnetically attached grilles give a clean appearance when removed - ideal for showing off those hi-tech drive units.
A neat standmount speaker that has the power of a floorstander, the Silver 100 offers the best of both worlds.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Squarion from Great sound, good looks. Bought these as part of a 5.1.2 surround system paired with Silver C150 centre speaker, Silver FX surrounds, C180 ceiling speakers and SVS SB3000 sub. Impressed by the muscular yet refined sound. Finished in satin white to match a bespoke unit they look completely at home.

Rated 4 out of 5 by BoAdams from Good bass but maybe too much of it Upgrade from Dali Zensors 3 , 1st attemp was b&w 606's and they trashed the dalis on many fronts , but dalis somehow kept tunes togheter. 606's were missing the core to me , with almost no bass , so opted for silver 100's , these trashed b&w's , they are a class above. The thing that is missing from 100's are mids & highs, poor on vocals & background instruments are well in the back. But these are mellow & warm , a speaker that can play loudly and you can still have a conversation, and to my ears much nicer than 606's. I am still not 100% satisfied with these due to the lack of mids and better highs , so have already ordered Focals Aria 906's to compare these two , and if there is no clear winner i will compare these with the ls50 metas. Silver 100 are good for rnb , reggae , blues & jazz . Must say that customer service from RS is best i have experienced in ages !

Rated 5 out of 5 by Buss69 from Good looking speakers but ultimately sound amazing Haven’t had these speakers long but loving the sound from them. Able to play all music very well. I’m a bass head so long music with sub frequencies and these handle them very well. These are speakers that you can play loud but still have a conversation. Not sure how that works but it does. Crisp at the top end, full in the middle. What’s not to like.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Rawki1 from Great speakers and excellent customer service Went into Kingston branch to purchase some speakers, Myles was so helpful and felt no pressure on time to make a decision. I went I to buy Kef Q350 speakers but the Monitor Audios were recommended to try I they were so much better. The sound stage just felt so much better to me. Such impressive customer service and I love these speakers! Thank you Myles

Rated 5 out of 5 by Neil P from Hi-fi meets musicality, but place them with care! I bought these to replace my ageing Castle Tays when I realised they were holding back my new amp and cd player (Cambridge CXA 60 and CXC transport). These are beautifully built speakers, I went for the satin white and mounted on white painted Atacama SE24 stands (circa 1998) with the grilles removed they really make a visual statement. They took a fair amount of fiddling and experimenting with the positioning however to release the magic, but get it right and these speakers really do sing! Voices are staged and delivered with great accuracy and realism, the highs are clean and detailed and the bass is awesomely low and punchy, hence the reason for the positioning trauma! The rear port on these means they need a bit of breathing space, even with the supplied foam bungs in place. So if you need them close to a wall be prepared for some excess bass!
