Much more than just a stereo receiver, the Onkyo TX-8250 comes equipped with the most comprehensive range of streaming options. A powerful 100 watt amp matches up to a network streamer with support for Bluetooth, AirPlay, Chromecast, Spotify, Tidal, Deezer, Fire Connect plus much more. If this isn't enough there's also a DAB/FM tuner radio plus a wide range of inputs including USB, digital and even a phono stage for your turntable. This Onkyo receiver has all bases covered.
Smooth, powerful sound
The powerful 100 watt amplifier uses high quality components to deliver a sound that's smooth and powerful. High-current, discrete amplification and custom made components keep the sound high in clarity and low in distortion. Non-phase-shift circuitry focuses the audio to give a wide frequency response – ideal for Hi-Res audio and vinyl sources.
Hi-Res Audio playback
At the heart of the Onkyo's digital processing is a top quality AK4452 DAC (Digital to Analogue Convertor). This not only provides a transparent and lifelike sound but also facilitates the playback of High Resolution audio formats. The TX8250 is compatible with a wide range of HD audio formats, including DSD 5.6 MHz and FLAC 192kHz-24-bit for exceptional sound quality.
Bluetooth, AirPlay and Wi-Fi
Connect up the Onkyo to your network with Wi-Fi. Apple's AirPlay lets you wirelessly stream music from any compatible Apple device - without the need for a separate home hub. The Bluetooth receiver supports streaming from your smartphone, tablet, laptop, PC or other Bluetooth source. There's also access to Internet radio and music services such as TIDAL and Deezer, making the TX-8250 perfect for your music streaming needs.
Chromecast built-in
Chromecast lets you stream music, podcasts and audio apps, including Google Play, at the touch of a button. Having it built-in saves the battery life on your phone as the phone's Bluetooth transmission system isn't used for this purpose. Being able to stream straight from the cloud also gives the best audio quality (available with future firmware update).

DTS Play-Fi is a premium, wireless control system that brings everything under one 'roof'.
