Compact, portable and even supplied with a carry case, the Optoma GT1080e is the perfect portable projector. Take it round to friends or family and set up a home cinema in no time – even in smaller rooms. The perfect projector for tight spaces
With its short throw lens, the Optoma GT1080e is ideal for smaller rooms. Even when positioned just over a metre from the wall, the Optoma can produce an image as big as 100" (254cm), making the biggest pictures in the smallest rooms easy to achieve. Settle for a smaller size image (still big by TV standards) and you’ll get a crystal clear image within a metre of the wall – making this ideal for desktop projection.
Daytime viewing
Featuring an exceptional brightness figure of 3000 ANSI Lumens, the GT1080e not only offers bright and vivid colours but is also ideal for use in many lighting conditions. Even during daylight conditions with curtains or blinds open, the Optoma produces a watchable and detailed picture – use in darker settings and the picture improves still further, with the excellent 25,000:1 contrast ratio coming to the fore.
Amazing colour
Colour precision, resolution, frame rate and display specifications are all guaranteed by meeting one of the highest HD video standards seen in professional-grade home cinema today: Rec. 709. Instigated by the ITU (International Telecommunication Union), Rec.709 approval means a true cinema-like appearance.

Using Texas Instrument's DLP DarkChip 3 technology, the Optoma GT1080e gives crystal clear clarity, sharply defined images and true, natural colour. Even at larger screen sizes, the detail is astounding, meaning you can sit closer to the screen without the picture degrading. The Optoma also projects 1080p Full HD images, making it the perfect match for your Blu-ray player or Full HD gaming device.
Optional 3D
For the most immersive images, the GT1080e is also compatible with 3D. Just add the optional ZF2300 3D glasses system, connect up to a suitable source and enjoy 3D images that are every bit as bold as at the cinema. Rather than using Infrared, the Optoma uses a Radio Frequency (RF) system. This not only reduces the chance of interference but also provides a higher contrast and brighter images. The optional glasses are also fully rechargeable.
HDMI with MHL
With twin HDMI sockets, the Optoma is well equipped to handle your digital sources. The HDMI interface is also compatible with MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link). This lets you connect up a suitable smartphone or tablet to the HDMI socket and watch HD video, at up to 1080p Full HD, from your mobile device, on the big screen!

Exceeded my expectations
Bought as a "joint" Christmas present, but to be honest, I thought I would be disappointed by the picture and never use it.
I was wrong. I'm blown away by how good it is!
The picture is amazing and the sound is good enough to enjoy movies, but to get a more immersive experience you can hook up a soundbar.
The only negative I have is on the connections. It would have been good to have a USB port to power the Firestick.

I’ve owned this unit for 5 years. It’s brilliant and fantastic value for money. We use it most weekends for films, then for extra stuff after. It is still vibrant and bright. It’s really very, very good.
Audio is irrelevant because obviously you need to link it up with a sound bar etc.
I have 100” screen from this at around 1m

Great Home Cinema Projector!
Bought this projector around a month ago to somewhat replicate a cinema experience at home. I work with various different display technologies, so I knew what to look for when buying a projector, and the Optoma GT1080e ticked all of the boxes for me.
It is a great projector at an affordable price. Thanks to the short throw lens, I get an image size of 100” diagonal from just over a meter away. This means the projector can give you a very large image in a relatively small room.
I would highly recommend the Optoma GT1080e to anyone looking for a very good quality HD projector at a very reasonable price. I would also like to thank Richer Sounds for the amazing service. The projector was delivered just two days after I bought it, and it came as stands with a five year guarantee.

Very good impressive picture
Only used one night but very impressed with the quality of picture. Would have given 5 if sound from projector had been a wee bit better (although with fire stick can send to Bluetooth speaker). Indeed if I could have seen a way to give 4.5 stars I would have. Would also recommend Richer Sounds who gave excellent service

Perfect match
I bought the GT1080E to match another I already have. As they are getting more difficult to find and I had to match the other as part of a panoramic display project I jumped at it when I saw it in stock at Richer Sounds. The Projector is great but I expected nothing less of it based on my other one. Quality build and a good picture. I have ceiling mounted it alongside the first one to cover a 120degree curved screen. The Team at Richer Sounds were great when I had a problem placing the order online, A call to the Customer Services sales team sorted it and it was on its way to me that day. Arrived at the agreed time well packaged and protected. Not my first purchase from Richer Sounds and will not be my last either. Many thanks folks Top notch service and a good product.
