Stunning UHD 4K resolution – on the big screen
With over eight million pixels, Ultra HD 4K resolution brings four times more detail than Full HD, delivering sharper, life-like images and richer colours. A further advantage of UHD 4K resolution is that, because the pixels are smaller, you can sit much closer to the screen. This makes this projector ideal for rooms that previously might have been too small for a projector to work at its best.
HDR makes the best even better
Compatible with HDR video, the UHD51 takes UHD 4K to the next level. HDR enhances the brightest and darkest sections of scenes – letting you see detail in what was previously a solid block of colour. It also makes the rest of the colour spectrum appear more natural, giving an even greater sense of ‘being there’.
Colour – just as it should be with CMS
Display accurate, life-like colours to best match your viewing environment with Colour Management System (CMS). This unique feature provides you with the flexibility to fine-tune the colour settings to the Rec. 709 standard for optimal precision.
PureMotion for judder-free images
Not content with exceptional realism, brightness and detail, the Optoma UHD51 also offers super-smooth motion control. Using sophisticated frame-interpolation technology, PureMotion processing eliminates motion blur or image judder. This is especially noticeable when watching fast-moving sports events and action movies - just the sort of occasions when you'll be watching on the big screen.
Impressive as the UHD51 is in 2D, the image becomes even more immersive when you switch to 3D. Just add the optional ZD302 3D glasses, connect up to a suitable source and enjoy 3D images that are every bit as bold as at the cinema.
Make installation easier with Vertical lens shift
Vertical lens shift lets you adjust the physical direction of the lens across a + 10% vertical plane. This adjustment makes installation much easier as, once installed, you’re able to adjust the image to precisely fit your screen – without the need for any image-compromising digital adjustment.
A wide range of connections, including two HDMI sockets
Featuring twin HDMI sockets (one compatible with HDR), you can connect a UHD Blu-ray player and video streamer. For older sources, the UHD51 also comes with a VGA input – perfect for laptops and PCs. Multi-room connectivity is enhanced by RJ-45 and RS232 interfaces, plus there’s a 12v output for syncing with an electric screen. Audio can be outputted via digital optical or analogue 3.5mm sockets.
Power your smart TV device by USB
Another great feature is the handy USB power output. This is used to power USB-powered smart devices, such as the Google’s Chromecast or a Roku TV stick. Plug Chromecast, or similar, in and you’ll have easy access to smart video and TV services without the need for any other device or lengthy connection cables.
See more and enjoy more, with the totally immersive Optoma UHD51.

Rated 3 out of 5 by DMDesign from Good but not that good After a demo at the Glasgow branch of a BenQ projector I decided to change from a 55"Panasonic TV to the realms of projector.Bought this projector about a month ago after a 2 week delay with delivery (RS please change your delivery company they let you down). The projector is easy to set up and the image quality is pretty good on the whole. Streaming from a FireStick is good in 4k, however because our broadband has weak signal in the cinema room the image does pixelate when there is movement on the screen ie running animals - fur tends to blur. Using blu rays the image is stunning, however the lip-sync is slightly out with the sound going to an AV amp, which is intensely frustrating. The outputs to the amp are very limited for sound and at present I am struggling to resolve this. Conclusion: I would happily swap this for the BenQ TK850 and pay a bit more

Rated 5 out of 5 by Paul B1867 from Lovely bit of kit I had an older version of this for about 10 years. This new version was worth the upgrade. Much easier to connect to Bluetooth and the dab radio is very straightforward. Compact design that sits in the kitchen/diner next to turntable that I can connect up to this new denon as well. Very pleased . Great customer service from Gavin in York store. Love Richer sounds
