Fitted as standard to many budget turntables, the Ortofon OM 5E is a classic budget cartridge.
Low wear and easily changed stylus
Using an elliptical-shaped stylus, the OM 5E offers both a neutral and balanced sound quality while also offering low wear on your precious vinyl. The detachable stylus can be changed at any time (at additional cost) for other models in the OM range, including the dedicated Stylus 78 - for use with 78 speed turntables and records. Gold-plated connection pins provide a long lasting and low resistance connection, while its open lugs and elegant design make it easy to fit.

Record Deck Phono Cartridge = Delivered Early
Order delivered Next Day which was a shock as I was expecting it the following day
Just a normal Phono Deck Cartridge and so no problems and always use them often ordered from RS

Great value and sounding cartridge
Bought this to replace the cartridge on my aging Project Debut 2 deck and it's transformed the sound. Excellent advice as always from the Hull store, although they didn't have it in stock it was sent via DPD a couple of days later at no extra charge. Easy to fit and set up the deck is back to sounding how it should again.

Pure Excellence
To my ear Ortofon cartridges are always the undisputed winner and offer a significant improvement in audible reproduction in comparison to all other alternatives. This cartridge is a relatively inexpensive option within the Ortofon range but is in a different league to the factory fitted AT cartridge it replaced. Fitted to AT 120 deck connected to a vintage Quad 33/303 system playing through Wharfedale speakers, the improvement to vinyl playback and clarity is remarkable. Highly recommended.

Easy to fit, good sound
Bought this in store to be delivered. Somhow there was a mix up and it was sent to an address I left years ago. Called Richer Sounds and they sorted the mistake out quickly and with no quibbling at all. Received replacement next day. Item is easy plug and play, needed a very small hex key but easy enough to fit. All in all great item and great service as ever from RS.

Ortofon cartridge
Sounds amazing, love my new record deck and this cartridge is the icing on the cake. I had an Ortofon on a previous deck, which l bought in the late1970s, but time for a change of decks and this cartridge has brought a breath of fresh air to my record collection. Nice to hear the full frequency range again. CDs might be crackle free but they lack the depth and range of a deck with a superb cartridge.
