New HCX AI Processor
At the heart of this Panasonic 58 inch TV is an intelligent new processor. Delivering accurate colour, contrast and pin-sharp clarity, the processor works with the panel to produce the best picture – whatever the genre. The AI (Artificial Intelligence) processor detects the content and adjusts the setting to suit. Watch sports, for example and the TV recognises this and selects the best settings for fast-moving action.

HDR Bright Panel Plus for super-sharp images
Once the signal has been analysed by the powerful HCX AI processor, it’s sent to a screen that does it justice – HDR Bright Panel Plus. Using extra-bright LED backlights, this screen goes brighter and therefore enhances contrast, giving superb levels of contrast – even in conditions of high ambient light.

Local Dimming Pro – enhanced contrast
Working in conjunction with the HDR Bright Panel Plus, Local Dimming Pro gives more control over the picture contrast. By being able to dim particular areas of the image, contrast is enhanced, making images look even more natural and lifelike. The processing is so fast and seamless, you’ll notice nothing except an incredible sense of image realism.

Dolby Atmos and Cinema Surround for immersive sound
Compatible with Dolby Atmos sound, this Panasonic TV creates a more immersive, enveloping sound. Fitted with a 20 watt amp, the 58JX850B produces room-filling sound. For even more immersion, select the Cinema Surround setting, or use the HDMI eARC or optical digital output to add a soundbar or base.

HDR10+ Adaptive – ultimate detail in all lighting conditions
HDR10+ Adaptive takes HDR10 and to the next level, making it the ultimate HDR-type picture processor. HDR10+ Adaptive uses light sensors inside the TV to adjust the picture quality for the best contrast. This improves the picture’s brightness, without ‘washing out’ the depth. You get a consistent picture quality, however light or dark your room is.

As well as HDR10+ Adaptive, the TX-58JX850B also offers multi-format HDR, including HDR10+, HDR10, HLG and HLG Photo. Designed in collaboration with filmmakers and Hollywood studios, Filmmaker Mode lets you experience the cinematic vision, exactly as the director intended. Overriding the TV’s own motion and picture processing, Filmmaker Mode presents the correct aspect ratio, colour and frame rate – just as the filmmakers intended. Panasonic exclusively add Intelligent Sensing to Filmmaker mode, so that the picture reacts intelligently to changes in light, automatically giving you the most cinematic picture possible, whether the room is bright or dark.

Smart TV made easy with HomeScreen 6.0
The latest version of Panasonic’s HomeScreen makes all the smart functions even easier to access. When selecting content from your favourite streaming apps, the system offers thumbnail images, making it easier to find your favourite programme. Support for Google Assistant and Alexa means you can also find content via voice command. The new My Scenery feature offers a selection of background images and videos.

When it comes to Smart TV flexibility, the TX58JX850B has all the features you need. As well as the popular streaming apps, the TV also offers a full web browser. DLNA certified streaming makes it easy to transfer music and video files from your home computer, laptop or NAS drive to the TV. Also standard is Swipe and Share functionality. Swipe and share lets you use the Panasonic Remote TV app for smartphone media sharing. By using the app on your smartphone or tablet, you can easily stream pictures, 4K videos and music straight to the TV - no cables required.
