4K VIDEO SCALING

Going one stage further than conventional 1080p upscaling, the Pioneer VSX924 has the power to upscale to four times the resolution of Full HD! 4K pass-through also is standard. This gives hassle-free switching and viewing without the receiver needing to be turned on.

PUTTING SOUND QUALITY FIRST

At the heart of the Pioneer VSX-924 is a Direct Energy amplifier. Direct Energy amps use short signal paths throughout for purer and more dynamic sound quality. The VSX924 is also makes a superb choice for listening in High Definition. It can playback multi-channel FLAC and WAV files at up to 96kHz/24-bit. In stereo mode, WAV, FLAC and AIFF files at 192 kHz/24-bit are all supported, as is DSD.

FULLY COMPREHENSIVE NETWORKING WITH BOTH AIRPLAY AND BLUETOOTH

The VSX924 comes with a LAN connection for integration with your home network. There's also Apple AirPlay compatibility, Bluetooth, DLNA streaming and an optional wi-fi dongle for wireless connectivity. Apple's AirPlay lets you wirelessly stream music from any compatible Apple device - without the need for a separate home hub. The Bluetooth receiver supports aptX for the highest quality streaming from your smartphone, tablet, laptop, PC or other Bluetooth source. DLNA streaming gets you access to music stored on your PC, laptop or NAS and plays it through the receiver. There's also access to Internet radio and music services, making the VSX-924 a fully comprehensive streamer.

HTC CONNECT

HTC Connect lets you use your compatible HTC phone to wirelessly stream high quality music, video and photos. Easy to use and amongst the higher quality of streaming systems, this is an especially good way of playing your smartphone's music library though your home cinema system.

SPOTIFY CONNECT

This Pioneer also has the advantage of offering Spotify Connect. Spotify Connect uses your existing Spotify account but seamlessly transfers it between sources. So, for example, you might be listening to Spotify on your mobile device then, when you arrive home, transfer it your Pioneer home system at the touch of a button! Wherever you use 3G or 4G, wi-fi or LAN, AirPlay, Bluetooth or UPnP, Spotify Connect simply keeps the music following - seamlessly.

HUGE RANGE OF CONNECTIONS INCLUDING TWIN HDMI OUTPUTS

When it comes to connecting more conventionally, the Pioneer VSX924 is as impressive as ever. No fewer than seven HDMI sockets are provided with one being on the front for the connection of occasional devices such as a camcorder or smart phone. The front HDMI socket is also compatible with MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link) giving you the ability to transfer 1080p Full HD video from your smartphone or tablet. Added to this are twin HDMI outputs, making the VSX924 ideal for using with both a TV and a projector. The Pioneer also features an active/passive Zone 2 output - perfect for music in another room. Also standard is an iPhone/iPod Digital USB connection. This allows plug-and-play flexibility without the need for a further docking station. The sound quality will be better than many docks, too, as you're using the processing power of the Pioneer rather than the dock's. The front mounted USB connection will also charge your iPhone or iPod.

EASY TO SET-UP

Although comprehensively equipped, the Pioneer VSX924 is by no means intimidating to use. Pioneer's unique Advanced 9-band MCACC (Multi-Channel Acoustic Calibration) system will tune the amplifier to the size of listening room and speaker placement, at the touch of a button. Professional results no longer rely upon hours spent with a sound level meter and heavy study of the instruction manual! Finally, if you like the idea of high quality cinema sound, but simply don't have space for all the speakers around the room, then you'll be delighted to see Pioneer have fitted their Front Stage Surround Advance system.
