Active speakers - just plug and play
With built-in amplification, there's no need for a separate amplifier. With a punchy 42 watt amp built-in, these speakers are more than capable of filling all but the largest of rooms with immersive sound. Simply plug the active speaker into the mains and connect the other, passive, speaker via conventional speaker cable. Next, plug in your music source directly and you're good to go - no extra amp required.

Good little speakers
Had these a few weeks now and they sound great in my kitchen. Few reviews said not loud enough or not enough bass but I'm not sure how powerful they expected these to be! They fill the room with decent quality sound. I think 'monitors' is a bit of a misnomer since they definitely have the sound profile of a hifi, ie more bass and treble, but not massively so.
