With a meaty 50W (at 4 ohms) Direct Energy HD amplifier onboard, the Pioneer NC-50DAB is powerful enough to run most speakers to room-filling volume. Pioneer's unique P-BASS system provides a powerful bass response, but if you need even more there's a subwoofer connection for your choice of active sub.
HiRes sound via an ESS SABRE 32 Ultra DAC
Featuring a top quality ESS SABRE 32 DAC, the Pioneer NC-50DAB delivers top quality HiRes sound. With a high signal-to-noise ratio and wide dynamic range, digital audio benefits from ultra-low levels of noise and deep, powerful dynamics .The Pioneer is compatible with many high resolution formats. Both AIFF and Apple Lossless audio files are supported, as are WAV, FLAC and DSD files (DSD not via wireless LAN). Connect via USB or to your network (wired connection preferably) and you can finally enjoy those high resolution music files exactly how they were meant to be heard.
Chromecast, AirPlay and Bluetooth
It's easy to stream music from your smartphone and tablet with Chromecast and AirPlay onboard. Link up wirelessly and stream your stored music or favourite music services using Google (Android) or iTunes (Apple) operating systems. For universal compatibility, including many laptops and PCs, Bluetooth wireless music streaming is also available.
Wi-Fi, Tidal, Spotify and Internet radio for the complete networking experience
The NC-50DAB also comes with Wi-Fi, Internet radio, Tidal and Spotify. Simply connect to your home network using an Ethernet connection or Wi-Fi and you can access thousands of Internet radio sites via tunein as well as subscription services such as Spotify Connect and Tidal.
Add a wireless speaker with FireConnect powered by Blackfire
Using the latest FireConnect by Blackfire technology it's possible to create a multi-room speaker system - wirelessly! Simply add compatible Pioneer wireless speakers and you can mirror what's playing on the main system in another room.
Multiple USB and digital inputs
As well as all this wireless connectivity , the NC-50DAB also offers great wired connects. With USB sockets both front and rear you can not only connect up your USB memory device but also your home computer for streaming Hi-Res music files. Also standard are both optical and coaxial digital inputs - ideal for plugging in your Freeview TV, HDTV box or Blu-ray player.
All this, plus you can still connect up your record deck
If all this connectivity weren't enough, the NC-50DAB still works great as a hi-fi amp. A line input lets you hook up any auxcillary source you might have. You can even plug in your turntable, thanks to the dedicated phono (MM) input.
