Welcome to your 9-channel home cinema
With 9.2 channels of immersion, the SC-LX704 opens up a whole new range of surround sound and multi-room options. Choose between 7.2.2 or 5.2.4 Dolby Atmos speaker configurations with two or four ceiling speakers. Alternatively, stick with 5.2.2 and power a second pair of speakers in another room or bi-amp your main pair of speakers. As your system grows, so the capability of this Pioneer AVR grows with it.

All the surround formats – including IMAX Enhanced
With wide-ranging surround sound support, the SC-LX704 has your choice of format covered – however many speakers you use. Compatible formats include Dolby Atmos, Dolby Atmos Height Virtualization Technology, DTS:X, DTS Neural:X and IMAX Enhanced. This huge range of options means you can adapt your surround sound speaker system from the simplest system with ‘virtual height’ speakers to a full-blown 9.2 system that has you totally surrounded.

205 watts of mighty power
Offering up a mighty 205 watts (at 6 ohms) of pure power, the Pioneer SC-LX704 effortlessly recreates the sound of cinema. For enhanced efficiency, the SC-LX704 uses Pioneer's Class D Direct Energy HD amp. Pioneer's Class D amps also use short, direct signal paths. By eliminating filters, feedback loops and current limiters, the sound quality is both less distorted and more dynamic.

Digital precision from twin ESS PRO DACs
With twin ESS ES9026PRO DACs (Digital to Analogue Convertors) used for all channels, the SC-LX704 delivers studio quality digital audio. With a high signal-to-noise ratio and wide dynamic range, digital audio benefits from ultra-low levels of noise and deep, powerful dynamics. Whether watching a Blu-ray film or listening to streamed music, the benefit to all digital audio is breathtaking to hear.

Jitterless sound transmission and processing for ultra-low distortion
Pioneer’s advanced PQLS (Precision Quartz Lock System) jitter reduction system ensures a smooth and natural sound quality when connected to a suitable Pioneer disc player. In addition to PQLS, the SC-LX704 is also equipped with PQFA (Precision Quartz File-based Audio) for perfect sync with your network/USB-based music files.

Legendary Pioneer SC-LX build quality
Fastidious attention to detail shown in the Pioneer's construction gives it first-rate sound quality. Featuring an Anti-Standing Wave Insulator and Rigid Trans-Stabiliser, the heavyweight casing isolates the sensitive electronics from mechanical and electrical interference. This gives a purity of sound that only the finest AV receivers can match.

Equipped for full-on systems
Featuring six HDMI inputs at the back, plus a further front-mounted socket, the SC-LX704 is equipped for full-on systems. Three HDMI outlets include a second, Zone 2, for independent outputs. The SC-LX704 goes above the more basic models in also offering component and composite video inputs for older devices.

Three zone, multi-room flexibility
With a 5.2 channel Atmos system in play, you can still use the spare channels to add two additional powered zones. Zone 2 and Zone 3 can either be synced with the main signal for ‘party’ sound or play from separate sources – giving the SC-LX704 true multi-room appeal. Passive outputs for Zone 2 and 3 are also available should you already have amplification or active speakers.

Stream it your way, with Apple AirPlay 2 and ‘Works with SONOS’
Much more than just an AV receiver, the SC-LX704 is also a comprehensive music streamer. Apple AirPlay 2 is standard as is ‘Works with SONOS’. Integrated Amazon Music, Spotify (Premium account required for full features), TIDAL and Deezer are all standard. There’s also Chromecast, FlareConnect and DTS Play-Fi plus TuneIn for Internet radio and Bluetooth music streaming.

Works with Apple AirPlay 2
AirPlay 2 takes this popular wireless streaming format and makes it better. Controllable by simply asking Siri or using your Apple device, AirPlay 2 lets you effortlessly stream music and podcasts around your home – and all in perfect sync.

Works with SONOS
Link up to a SONOS Connect and the SC-LX704 becomes integrated into your SONOS system. You can group the receiver with other SONOS devices or use it independently. Working with SONOS means as soon as you start playing music from your SONOS app, the Pioneer switches on and selects the correct input – automatically.

Chromecast with Google Assistant
Chromecast lets you stream music, podcasts and audio apps, including Google Play, at the touch of a button. Alternatively, use Google Assistant and this Pioneer AV receiver becomes part of your voice controlled smart home.

Supports HDR10, Dolby Vision, HLG and BT.2020 standards
The Pioneer SC-LX704 is the perfect partner for your HDR-equipped TV and video sources. It supports HDR10, Dolby Vision, BT.2020 and HDCP 2.3, which means you can play UHD Blu-ray discs and stream UltraHD video in the highest quality.
