This page is intended to demonstrate the incredible value of our 6 Year Supercare. Under recent legislation, we are obliged to point out that you obviously do not need to purchase an extended warranty at the same time you purchase your electrical goods and are entitled to shop around. We have been encouraging our customers to do just that for years because, not only are our prices significantly cheaper than our competitors, but just look at what else we include:

Free loan machine (Subject to availability. Only if taken back to store)
Should you encounter a problem, just ask and you'll be provided with a unit to ensure you're not without music whilst your equipment is being fixed.

Like for like machine if unit is unrepairable
If, for any reason, we are unable to repair your unit, we'll replace it. Naturally, models do change so, while we can't guarantee that it will be the same model, we do guarantee that it will have equivalent specifications.

Free routine service / Maintenance checks
have your unit serviced as often as you wish, free of charge, during the 6 year period. (Normally excluded from extended guarantees).

45 day cooling off period
If you're not happy with our 6 Year Supercare package just ask for a full refund - no questions asked. After 45 days, providing no claim has been made, you can also terminate the agreement and receive a pro-rata refund.

If you use the policy in the 6 years, you'll have saved yourself tens and perhaps hundreds of pounds. If you don't use it... IT WON'T COST YOU A THING!*

* Simply return your unused Supercare policy within one month of the expiration date, and we'll refund the price of your warranty.

"A great £500 amplifier that looks and sounds the part - this Cambridge is a big success"What Hi-Fi Sound & Vision Award Winner 2016

Quality engineering for a precise sound
At the heart of the CXA60 amp is a super-efficient, fully symmetrical Class A/B amplifier. This ensures a precise, even sound with excellent separation between the right and left channels. Powering the amp is a large toroidal transformer giving the CXA60 its powerful, dynamic sound and a healthy 60W per channel power, enough to drive most speakers to high levels in all but the very largest rooms.

Built-in DAC
The Cambridge CXA60 has been designed to work just as well with digital sources as analogue ones. So Cambridge has fitted a high-quality DAC (Digital to Analogue Convertor) inside the amp. Usually found in its dedicated DacMagic range, the Wolfson WM8740 DAC offers high-quality sound that could actually improve your existing digital sources. With two optical digital inputs and one coaxial one, up to three digital sources can be connected, such as games console, TV and a CD transport such as the matching Cambridge CXC.

Optional Bluetooth
Add the optional Cambridge BT100 Bluetooth dongle as a cost option and you'll get Bluetooth connectivity with your smartphone, tablet or other compatible device. Not only will the music from your linked device sound superb through the unit's sophisticated DAC technology, but it's also compatible with the higher grade Bluetooth aptX - designed to give the highest audio quality and the closest yet to a conventional wired connection.

Analogue connectivity
Just because it has class-leading digital connectivity doesn't mean that Cambridge has forgotten about analogue connectivity. The Cambridge CXA60 has four line level inputs, easily enough for the vast majority of systems. There's a 3.5mm front-mounted input, perfect for connecting an MP3 player or smartphone for quick and convenient playback. Other handy connections include an RCA subwoofer output, headphone socket and connections for two pairs of speakers.

Sleek style
The CXA60 is part of the totally redesigned CX-Series. The distinctive tear-drop profile gives the CXA60 a contemporary look and makes it the ideal partner for the matching CD transport and network player. Yet it's far more than just a good-looking case; it helps the sound quality, too. With rigid, metal construction and low-resonance design, the casing helps shield the amp from both mechanical and electrical interference, helping to improve clarity and reduce background noise.

For an amplifier that treats all your music sources, whether digital or analogue, with the same high regard, the Cambridge CXA60 is a talented all-rounder.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent My first foray back in to the separates market and so far I haven't been disappointed. Simple to set up and the sound is crystal clear and should only get better once it is 'run in'. AND I bagged a bargain in your Flash Sale!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cambridge CXA60 Amplifier I bought this product to replace a 25 year old Arcam which has been an extremely good amplifier. I baulked at paying £1200 for the modern equivalent and once I heard this the decision was a no-brainer: it makes a very similar sound to the Arcam (to my ear at least) and I'd rather spend the money saved on a pair of good speakers which will probably give me better value.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from excellant sound all rounder I first bought a Marantz pm6006 although an improvement on the current amp it was very much lacking in inputs.i saw Tony at the Nottingham branch he recommended the cambridge ax60 what an improvement on the Marantz. More expensive but worth every penny.Everything is much clearer and defined.I can now listen for a lot longer without getting fatigue.Richer sounds came good for me yet again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow! I bought a Marantz pm6006 and found it splashy, harsh and totally unconvincing with my Q Acoustics 3050s with CD source. I was unhappy and rang the Milton Keynes branch for help. I didn't know you could exchange and there was no problem. Adam there recommended the Cambridge Audio CXA60 after hearing my story. Hooked it up today after worrying that it would not be any good. Every CD I played was jaw-dropping in comparison with the Marantz. Warm, intricate, effortless, authoritative. I just can't thank RC enough for the service and advice. I wish I had taken it earlier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent amplifier, balanced sound highly recommended I purchased the CXA recently, having returned a Marantz PM6006 which I found too bright and hard. The Cambridge is well worth the extra, smoother and more detailed sounding. The built in DAC is excellent too. Strongly recommended and thanks to the guys at the Oxford branch for their help.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good build & design, flexible connections, punchy neutral sound Solid and well built for the budget and really like the design as it is sleek looking and superior to the typical 'box' seen at this end of the scale. Flexible connections and work really well with matching CD transport, Bluetooth, and connection to TV. Sounds perhaps more powerful than you'd expect and really quite punchy and just about neutral to my ears. I must admit I did swap out some Dali Zensors 1 from my old system because with these the tweeter did sound a little bright. Dynaudio Emit M10 do bring a little more warmth and show off the best side of this exciting amp. Very pleased. Paired with matching CXC transport, Dynaudio Emit M10 speakers, REL T Zero sub

Rated 5 out of 5 by from British Audio Star An excellent all round British designed amplifier. Including both digital and analogue inputs, it produces a relaxed and powerful sound. It also perfectly matched by the CXC CD transport.
