This page is intended to demonstrate the incredible value of our 6 Year Supercare. Under recent legislation, we are obliged to point out that you obviously do not need to purchase an extended warranty at the same time you purchase your electrical goods and are entitled to shop around. We have been encouraging our customers to do just that for years because, not only are our prices significantly cheaper than our competitors, but just look at what else we include:

Free loan machine (Subject to availability. Only if taken back to store)
Should you encounter a problem, just ask and you'll be provided with a unit to ensure you're not without music whilst your equipment is being fixed.

Like for like machine if unit is unrepairable
If, for any reason, we are unable to repair your unit, we'll replace it. Naturally, models do change so, while we can't guarantee that it will be the same model, we do guarantee that it will have equivalent specifications.

Free routine service / Maintenance checks
have your unit serviced as often as you wish, free of charge, during the 6 year period. (Normally excluded from extended guarantees).

45 day cooling off period
If you're not happy with our 6 Year Supercare package just ask for a full refund - no questions asked. After 45 days, providing no claim has been made, you can also terminate the agreement and receive a pro-rata refund.

If you use the policy in the 6 years, you'll have saved yourself tens and perhaps hundreds of pounds. If you don't use it... IT WON'T COST YOU A THING!*

* Simply return your unused Supercare policy within one month of the expiration date, and we'll refund the price of your warranty.

"A sonically superb soundbase from the bass to the treble - with sturdiness and style to boot." 'What Hi-Fi? magazine'. 5-star review. Tested at £300.

The best just got better

Improving this multi-award-winning sound base hasn't been easy but Cambridge Audio has managed to make the best even better! Now featuring an HDMI socket with ARC, connecting is even easier and higher quality. A 50% increase in power gives an even more immersive sound while enhanced EQ settings make it more tuneable to your taste than ever. Finally, improved aptX Bluetooth connectivity improves the sound quality of your streamed music.

Still a great boost for your TV's sound
Using twin BMR (Balanced Mode Radiator) drive units, the Cambridge TV5 V2 gives pinpoint accuracy and is bursting with detail, even at high volumes. BMR technology combines the advantages of both flat panel and conventional speakers, meaning that the TV5 V2 is truly dynamic and won't turn harsh when the action gets intense. For added bass, a downwards-firing subwoofer negates the need for a separate subwoofer, with the overall result a clean, punchy sound from TV, movies and music.

Powerful bass
In terms of bass power and dynamics, the TV5 V2 offers a substantial upgrade over the TV2 V2. With two rather than one subwoofer units, the TV5 V2 has twice the power. In addition, the internal cabinet area is larger and there are twin bass output ports, which not only increases the TV5 V2's volume potential, but also makes it a more moving experience for films and music. Bass goes lower for longer and the dynamic response is enhanced for those all-important goose bump moments!

Bluetooth music streaming
In addition to making your TV sound great, the TV5 V2 also offers effortless Bluetooth music streaming. Simply pair your device and stream music from your smartphone, tablet or Bluetooth-equipped laptop or desktop. Stream your music library or use a music streaming service such as Spotify, Pandora or the iPlayer Radio, and as the Cambridge TV5 V2 supports aptX Bluetooth, it's delivered in near CD quality.

Selectable sound modes and bass adjustment
Whatever the content, the Cambridge TV5 V2 offers an optimum mode. 'Film' is designed to get the best from movies and offers a powerful and dynamic sound. 'Music' gives enhanced stereo performance, perfect for music via Bluetooth or watching music videos. 'TV' offers a well-balanced sound that's ideal for most TV programmes. Finally, 'Voice' mode improves clarity and is ideal for those hard of hearing or sitting further back from the speaker. Once you've chosen the best setting simply dial up or down the bass to suit.

Simple to use
Using the TV5 V2 is easy. Simply connect your TV by HDMI, optical digital, 3.5mm or RCA phono sockets and you're ready to go. These will also accept a second source, such as CD/DVD/Blu-ray player. The simple remote control offers all the basics, but the TV5 V2 should also support your existing TV remote. The sensor in the TV5 V2 is designed to accept signals and learn volume commands from most TV or SKY remotes and also commands quick pairing with your Bluetooth device, eight of which can be matched to the sound base.

Getting a big TV is only half the picture. Complete the home cinema experience with the powerful-sounding Cambridge Audio TV5 V2.

CAMBRIDGE AUDIO TV5 V2 is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 21.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does the job and looks good. Quite a large beast but needed to be wide for our TV stand. It was easy to connect via HDMI ARC just needed a few settings changed on the TV. Otherwise the Optical Toslink also worked and needed no set up with the TV. Sound is good, much better than the TV. This is not home cinema sound so would be wrong to compare against that. Was very easy to get the Sky remotes to work with it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not what I expected The product is very powerful but I like deep bass yet the TV5 V2 only has a certain limit where you can maximise the sub. Other sound stages I have had can be adjusted much further. Also, when I sat down to watch Netflix last night on my Panasonic TV, there was no sound. No matter what I tried, it wouldn't work! I would advise the product but it still needs work.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor Customer Service After initially visiting the Southampton Store and receiving different advice on what TV and Audio equipment to buy, i purchased the Cambridge Audio TV5 V2. Intial set up took less than 5 minutes and the sound was an improvement on the television. After a while i could hear i slight random poppping sound from the TV5 speaker. When i contacted the Southampton Store by phone to discuss the issue, i was suprised to be met by a rather rude member of staff who told me if the item was found not to be faulty i would have to pay a 10% fee, as i had only brought the item 4 days prior i reminded him of my statutory rights which was totally dismissed by the member of staff. I feel his response was totally over the top. When i have visited the Southampton Store previously i have received very good level of customer service. The service received since my latest purchase has left a rather sour taste and questioning whether i would use Richer Sounds in the future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple sound enhancement. This is the first sound bar/base I've ever purchased and I can honestly say I'm not disappointed. The TV5 just works. It is a large soundbase that I have sitting under my tv in quite a large room. The styling is simple and it fits in nicely. It could have benefited from a screen I guess but once you're use to it then intuition takes over. The remote is again simple but functional. I've had the Cambridge up and running for a month now and I've watch various blu rays (inc Pacific rim, Inception, Looper) and the TV5 really does sound fantastic. It easily fills the room with a sound that is a million miles from my tv speakers. It provides a deep and punchy bass while still able to allow for small details and voices to shine through. Bass can be adjusted on the remote along with 4 different eq modes. These do sound different and I do find myself alter them for my viewing. I'm glad that I went for this product as it really does add another dimension to our home movie viewing experience.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great sound I am in no way an audiophile, but to my admittedly untrained ear this sounds fantastic, if you turn it up it can really put out some power. However it is also nice and clear but with a rich sound at lower volumes too. I replaced a Sony HT-XT3 with this and it does sound better. Sits perfectly under an LG 55" B6 OLED. It is also exceedingly easy to set up, plug in hdmi, make sure it is in ARC on TV, set output to HDMI and you're done. The only downside is the design, the actual TV5 itself is quite good looking, simple but handsome, although the led light does sometime feel a bit Hal like. But it's the lack of any sort of input display, either on the box itself or fed back through the TV screen (something the Sony did actually do tremendously well) that has cost it a star. It's not as though it actually has a negative impact, but knowing which exact mode you are in, or how much you've actually got the subs pumped up, is satisfying to know. All in all though I'd definitely recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Big Improvement to TV sound Having decided the TV2 was not big enough either sonically or physically for my TV, I replaced it with the TV5, and am very pleased I did. I think it looks great, is well designed and using the HDMI connection it syncs well with the Samsung TV. The sound is so much better than it was with just the TV speakers and is controlled by either the TV or soundbase remote. It also turns on & off with the TV, which is great. Service from Richer Sounds was excellent, it was no problem upgrading from the TV2 to the TV5.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Sadly quality problems. It took three separate units before I had one that worked properly. A different fault with each one. I was beginning to think it was me! But the third one was ok, for just over a year that is. It now wont work from the TV remote control and so we have to use two remotes, which is a pain. The sound base reacts very slowly to the remote, sometimes not switching on and not chaging volume readily. The display of sound level is quite dull and not easily readable. While it still works, in a fashion that is I think it's time for the bin. Canton have not been too helpful as its over a year old. I cannot recommend this brand.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from CAMBRIDGE AUDIO TV5 V2 Was looking to improve sound quality from my flat screen tv. A sound bar was not suitable due to the tv stand design so a sound base was sourced. This one was selected due to the weight of the tv to be carried. Somewhat dearer than a sound bar, but does the job. However, its a bit cumbersome and not as sleek as I would like. A bit pricey I think for what is basically an exterior speaker.
