Audiophile-grade drive units for the finest sound
Featuring low-loss, wood fibre woofers that are based on DALI's reference grade Epicon speakers and a soft dome tweeter, the Opticon 2 delivers sound good enough to please the most demanding. Designed for precision and accuracy of sound, the Opticon 2 lets you hear the music exactly as the musician intended. Although only a stand mount speaker, the generous cabinet volume helps give the Opticon 2 a powerful and dynamic sound.
DALI in-house cabinets made to the highest standards
Rather than 'buying in' cabinets, DALI produces the Opticon cabinets in-house. This means they can be sure of the quality and consistency of build. The solid cabinets have been designed for low levels of resonance, giving low distortion and helping to promote a natural sound. A bass reflex port makes the speakers more efficient and boosts the bass response; especially at lower volume levels. Finished in black, white or walnut, there's a cabinet finish to match your decor.

Ideal for small to medium-sized rooms, DALI have designed the Opticon 2 to be as flexible as possible. Able to operate effectively from just 10cm from a rear wall, the Opticon 2 makes a room friendly choice. Alternatively, if you've got the space, the 2's are just as happy at up to 80cm from the wall.

Excellent sound and combo
Bought this a week ago the Audio Technical LP51 + Dali Opticon 2 + Marantz NR 1200 - think it’s a great combo. Good job to RC for giving us good advice and more importantly a good combo price. True to their word held the price comparison guarantee.

A very worthwhile upgrade
I have been using a pair of Monitor Audio Bronze 2 speakers, which good entry level speakers, albeit quite small.
I decided to upgrade to something marginally bigger and listened to about three different options. I was quite convinced in the shop, that the Opticon 2s were the best.
Ihave to say that now having had them a week, I am REALLY impressed. The combination of the Opticons with my Audio Lab Amp 1 and Brennan B2 are spot on. The speakers really bring my music to life. The sound is more open with greater dynamics and weight. Worth every penny.

I bought these for my husband's birthday to act as background speakers. I'm openly a novice when it comes to hifi kitting out!! Diego from the Liverpool store was absolutely fantastic, offering advice and guidance at every step. These speakers sound incredible, Dali certainly have nailed it! My husband is over the moon with his new set up. Highly recommend

Excellent transaction, product as advertised
A nice easy transaction with the super-friendly people at Richer Sounds. We had a hiccup insofar as only ONE speaker was delivered by Amazon fulfilment but a call to Richer Sounds (and a pass over to their Amazon 'department') had a pick up and correct delivery arranged in n time at all. Thank you Nev at Richer Sounds for sorting. Product looks great - yet to be installed but I know the Dali quality is there so looking forward to setting them up!

Nice clear sound and surprisingly deep basdy
I was looking to get smaller speakers than my current floorstanders but didn’t want to lose the bass. I listed to several at the Kingston store, and was going to buy a pair of monitor audio bronze as recommended in what hifi. However Daniel persuaded me to listen to the Dali opticon 2s. I was very impressed by the clarity of sound. When I got them home and compared them to my floorstanders they held their own well in the bass department and overall had a cleaner sound.
My objective was to free up space without compromising on sound quality and I think I have come close with these.

Really good sounds for the size
Really happy with sound quality from such a small bookshelf speaker. I used it as a temporary left and right front for a surround system with Yamaha aventage 680 receiver and it sounded good. Otherwise these will be my rears for larger front speaker or used in a smaller room.

Best for the money, long wait on delivery
The Dali Opticon 2’s are the best sounding speakers I could find from any retailer for the money. They bring a very clear big sound that similar speakers around the £600 mark couldn’t. I’ve got them on some solid speaker stands as they are a little big for putting on a regular shelve and they look great in the living room. I personally love the look of wooden fiber cones and the walnut finish is done really well. Round the back of the speaker the terminals have a solid lasting feel to them. The entire speaker is really well put together and having a look at the Dali website you get a feel that they don’t skimp on these things. They took a good 40 hours to brake in to get a good sounds but my local Richer sounds had lent me there set until my pair arrived and I must say 50 listening hours in they still don’t sound as good. Prepare yourself for a maximum 100h break in as the manual states. One other thing to note is there could be a bit of a wait if your fravourite Dali speaker combo isn’t in stock. I waited 3 months but I doubt you would have to wait as long, still worth asking before you buy. All in all I don’t believe you can get a better built and nicer looking new set of speakers in the £600 category but it’s all a personal thing. You will love them but match them with some good stands and some quality cable and they will sing.
