"This UK-only special improves on an already talented original. The attractive and versatile Debut SE3 is a fine buy." What Hi-Fi Sound & Vision magazine.

A classic, now better than ever

Designed specifically for the UK market, the S/E3 version of the Debut comes with a larger and more stable platter. This provides a more solid bass response with added weight. Improved motor dampening gives better isolation, while in terms of sound quality, isolating the motor means less background noise and a more dynamic and revealing sound.

Superbly engineered
The rigid plinth with anti-vibration feet is ideal in providing a similarly taut sound quality. The motor is decoupled to further reduce vibration and, using a brass bearing housing and stainless steel axle, the platter hub is superbly engineered and built to close tolerances for fine sound and longevity. The Project 8.6s tone-arm now features a one-piece design for improved rigidity around the headshell area. This means that less detail is lost and more information can be heard.

Improved styling too
With its new gloss black plinth, the Debut S/E3 looks far classier than before. Combined with its high quality engineering, this Pro-Ject turntable really does give the impression that it comes from the class above.

If it's quality vinyl playback you're after, without the gimmicks, then there's simply none better than the Pro-Ject Debut S/E3.

PROJECT DEBUT SE3 is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 50.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sounds amazing I purchased a cheap second hand deck off Ebay last year to see if I would get back into listening to records. It was ok but nothing special. I recently got a Teac TN400 (Bought elsewhere). The quality over the cheap turntable was huge and sounded so much better. However I had problems with it. I had 2 of them and the same issue so got a refund. I visited the Glasgow store with the intention of getting the Essential 3 but they had none in stock. The salesman offered a discount on the 3A which I was going to go for until I noticed the Debut SE3 £20 more so went for that. Got home and set it up and have to say I was blown away. For only £25 more than the Teac the Difference in sound quality was quite noticible. Far more detail and seperation, particularily in the highs and also better bass. Overall this is great deck and I would highly recomend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Prepare to be amazed This budget turntable could rightly be considered to be a bit long-in-the-tooth these days, but there's a reason why it's still going's because it's so good! I upgraded to the Debut 3SE from an Elemental. I wasn't really expecting much improvement - I bought the Debut because it can be modified to play 78rpm records which the Elemental can't - but I've been blown away by the improvement in sound quality with regular LPs. The Debut is totally silent - no motor noise at all, not even through the cartridge - and the level of detail is just incredible. With a quality LP the sound is approaching that I get from my Audiolab CD stack at many times the price. This deck shows what vinyl is really capable of.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Turntable purchase Exceptional service from Kevin. We went in the day before looking for an entry level vinyl turntable and received exceptional advice. Kevin was extremely patient and listened attentively to our needs before making a range of recommendations. This morning, we returned to listen to a variety of combinations that he set up especially for us and made our final decision based on what we heard. Kevin is clearly very knowledgeable and we felt confidence in the advice he gave. We would recommend anybody in need of guidance to shop in Richer Sounds.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow It took a while to set up my project turntable as the instructions aren't very easy easy to follow. Watched the YouTube video even then it took a couple of attempts to set it up perfectly. But once I did, the sound was absolutely fantastic and clearly better than CD sound quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent turntable This turntable is a remarkable piece of kit and exceeds in every aspect of what a good turntable should be. Although it is my first turntable, I have seen and used others and this is vastly superior. It is a very sleek looking turntable which sounds incredible and is very intuitive. Once you get it correctly set up you will have no issues what so ever with it. However I did not realise it didn't have a preamp built into it as is standard with majority of turntables, and although this is simply my mistake, I do believe it would make a fine addition to an already wonderful turntable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible Turntable As a newcomer to the vinyl format, I'm no expert on turntables. However I can say that this is a brilliantly crafted machine. The design is minimal but superb. The build quality is exceptional; very solid, very durable. It looks great and is easy to use. The sound is phenomenal, great quality and no background hums or noises. All in all, an excellent purchase!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Performance This replaced my Aiwa P860 turntable I bought 10 years ago just to listen to some old vinyl. Played through my Denon amp/Mission speakers from 25 years ago my albums sound way better than I remember. The Aiwa turntable is exactly the same product as the low end Denon, Audio Technika and Marantz turntables that sell today for up 124, so for less than double that it's so worth it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super quality with incredible sound Bought this from the Newcastle store. Brilliant advice from Chris and the other staff. Instructions for setup are tricky but youtube videos are useful. Once you know how it is easy to setup. The quality of the sound produced is just simply incredible.
