Combine one of the most refined smart TV systems with an enhanced HDR picture and you have the LG 43UJ670V - a true first amongst equals.

HDR now with HLG and HDR10 compatibility

This 43" LG TV is compatible with HDR10 and HLG for greater HDR playback potential. HDR extends the range of colours for enhanced realism. It also delivers brighter whites and darker blacks, helping to give this TV stunning levels of contrast. HDR10 and HLG formats are both covered. HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma HDR) is a broadcast and user generated standard format that is set to become the standard for transmitting 4K signals.

4K Ultra HD TV - Ultimate Detail
Thanks to 4K UHD screen resolution, the LG 43UJ670V offers stunning realism. The resolution is four times greater than the more conventional 1920 x 1080 Full HD TVs and it's a difference you can see clearly, with greatly improved realism and detail. Thanks to LG's 4K Resolution Upscaler, even standard FHD signals can be upscaled to near 4K clarity and detail - giving your Blu-rays a new lease of life.

webOS 3.5 - the critics' choice
Widely acclaimed as one of the best smart TV interfaces, LG's webOS 3.5 operating system is more refined than ever. WebOS 3.5 uses superimposed icons, folders and side bars for clear and easy access to smart content without leaving the current screen image.

See the bigger picture with 360-degrees video
Now you can see the bigger picture with 360-degrees video. When watching suitable video, this feature lets you use the remote to track 360-degrees from left to right. It also allows you to 'look' up and down and even zoom in and out. Simply put, it's the closest thing yet to actually being there!

Freeview Play for catch-up TV
Freeview Play makes catch-up TV easy. Find programmes from BBC iPlayer, the ITV Hub, All4 and Demand 5 sitting alongside over 60TV Channels and up to 15 HD channels. Simply scroll back in your TV guide to watch shows you missed from the last 7 days. Just make sure your TV is connected to the internet and you're good to go.

Smart TV that includes all your favourite apps
The LG 43UJ670V comes packed with useful apps that look great on the big screen. The BBC iPlayer, YouTube, Now TV, Demand 5 and Netflix are just some of the VOD (Video On Demand) services that come as standard with the LG.

DLNA and Wi-Fi make this TV part of your home network
DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) compatibility means the 43UJ670V will seamlessly blend with your home network. With DLNA you can stream music or video from your laptop, PC or NAS drive. Thanks to built-in Wi-Fi, even connecting up is a breeze.

Smarter than ever, the LG 43UJ670V passes the TV degree with first class honours!

3840 x 2160
Contrast Ratio
Contrast ratio - from manufacturers information
Brightness of screen (cd/m squared with Plasma and LCD, ANSI for projectors)
Response Time

Motion Processing
Manufacturers now use their own measurements so can not necessarily be compared between brands. Examples include LG - Motion Clarity Index (MCI), Samsung - Clear Motion rate (CMR), Philips - Perfect Motion Rate (PMR), Sony - Motionflow XR and Panasonic - BLS (Back Light Scanning). All these figures are twice or more than the traditional 100Hz/200Hz refresh rate figures. No abbreviation indicates traditional measurement. Plasmas generally use a 600Hz sub-field refresh rate.
LED Backlight
Does the TV have LED backlighting and what type is used? Full Array LED is generally agreed to be the highest spec and offers very even lighting and slim depth. Edge LED keeps a slim depth but relies on more processing for even lighting. Direct LED is the most basic and has the deepest depth. A simple 'Y' means the LED type is unspecified at present.
Direct LED
Does it offer 3D viewing? Remember that glasses are not always included.
2D/3D Conversion
Does it feature 2D to 3D upconversion? This lets you watch 2D material in 3D.

Does the 3D TV use active or passive technology glasses? Active provides a superior resolution but passive glasses are cheaper and lighter.
Local Dimming
Full Local Dimming or Full Array Local Dimming is available on top spec LED screens with Full Array LED backlighting. This allows for 'pockets' or 'zones' on the screen to be individually dimmed, giving greatly improved contrast between light and dark images. Edge and Direct Local Dimming gives some of the benefits of Full Local Dimming but not usually to the same standard. OLED offers the best results with individual pixel dimming.
4K, also known as Ultra HD, is currently the highest resolution available from a TV sold in the UK and gives stunning realism.
Twin Tuners
Does the TV come with twin tuners? Twin tuners allows you to record one channel whilst watching another.
OLED (Organic Light-Emitting Diode) TV offers perhaps the most advanced picture quality. Unlike more basic LED screens, OLED doesn't require backlighting. This helps the screens be thinner, lighter or even curved. They are also more consistent in the colour they produce, with higher contrast levels, too.
Curved Screen
By using a curved screen the viewing experience is more natural and everyone in the room gets to see the benefits of a superior viewing angle.
Does the TV feature Freetime? Freetime lets you effortlessly scroll back through the TV listings and watch programmes from major TV catch-up services. Freetime can be by satellite dish or Wi-Fi only.
Ultra HD Premium
Ultra HD Premium takes 4K UHD to the next level. Offering the highest technical standards in terms of resolution, bit depth, colour gamut, peak luminance and black levels, you're guaranteed the best possible picture quality. It also encompasses HDR (High Dynamic Range) as standard.
Does the TV feature YouView? YouView gives you the best of both worlds by offering free to view digital HDTV and a wide range of catch-up TV services
HDR stands for High Dynamic Range. This offers a wider range of colour reproduction as well as darker blacks and brighter whites
Freeview Play
Does the TV have Freeview Play? Freeview Play offers live and catch-up TV in one place; all via a simple electronic guide.
Panel Bit Depth
8 bit screens reproduce 16.8 million colours. 10 bit screens vastly increase the colour count to 1 billion colours. FRC (Frame Rate Control) uses cyclic algorithms to offer 10 bit performance from an 8 bit panel
10 bit (8 bit + FRC)
HDR Format

LG 43UJ670V is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fabulous watching Not being very technical my son recommended this TV and Richer Sounds as a supplier. When I phoned to order the customer advisor was fabulous and gave me his name to phone back after a couple of questions I ask. Delivery men great no problems. The TV I love it has a lovely picture and sound like having a new toy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great so far Very good tv so far no complaints! Have only had for 2 weeks and yet to get all of the features set up but picture quality is great and sounds not too bad at all without a sound bar

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LG 43UJ670V - Superb We decided to upgrade from an LG 32" (9years old) to this LG 43" television. We have gone for LG recently as they seem to be good value for money, with good features and comparable with the more expensive makes. We have not been disappointed. We watched a clip of Planet Earth II in Ultra 4K which was incredible. We have also been impressed by the sound quality without the need to purchase a separate sound bar. Despite being (what I feel to be) a large television, this does not feel significantly bigger than the previous television we had as the television screen goes to the edge whereas the last one had a large border around the screen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A very beneficial on-spec visit to Guildford Richer Sounds I was on the way to purchase a TV from a Richer Sounds competitor, happened to pass RS on the way, and called in on a whim. Their employee, Dave, listened to my requirements and my first choice of TV, and suggested that I might like to consider the cheaper option of the LG TV. Luckily the two TV options were on display. I spent some time comparing the two and saved a healthy £150 in choosing the LG. The service was excellent and we are very happy so far, with both the sound and the picture. The menu options are easy to follow too, although I needed some son-in-law assistance to sort out the picture settings - hence the "Good" ease of use rating. A 6 year warranty is an added bonus.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent, but bugs need resolving Really good product that will improve with updated firmware and downloadable handbook/manual. Needed to call LG helpline to work out how to switch from antenna to satellite reception. Was easy but downloadable manual `pdf was corrupted! Still need the manual and helpline was optimistic that this will be available - uncorrupted - soon. Once I work out how to use the many options I am sure my overall assessment will improve from GOOD to EXCELLENT

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good TV for the price replaced my old LG TV with this one and the picture quality is noticeably better. Set up was easy ,a few of the power saving and input naming settings are hidden in the menus but once you go looking you will find them. One thing to bear in mind if you are going to wall mount this TV is that the Aerial ,satellite , optical sound , LAN and one HDMI connection have rear entry and not side entry like the remaining HDMI and USB ports so you need a good 5cm clearance from the wall unless you use 90 degree adapters. Overall very satisfied with this TV

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well worth those hard earned pennies of yours. So. Richer Sounds had a good TV for sale (the LG 43UH603V) which I was set to buy before THIS LG 43UJ670V was mentioned to me as, probably for MY circumstances, more appropriate. I'm glad that it was suggested. I've never connected stuff like this to the internet before but, straight out of the box, the TV was a dream to set up! It'll take a little while to get used to it (that's an issue with ME, NOT the TV!) but we've already giggled at Helium Beer on Youtube! Go check THAT out! HD on a large screen? Fabulous! Add in 4K and all that's missing is the scent of the scene (example flowers) to 'live' the scene yourself! And buying from Richer Sounds? Free 6 year warranty plus helpful, friendly staff? What's not to like!?
