With its stunning Picture-on-Glass design combined with picture transparency that's closer than ever to reality, the LG OLED55E6V offers tomorrow's tech, today.

Picture-on-Glass design

LG's truly stunning Picture-on-Glass design consists of an ultra-thin panel with a translucent glass back. Viewed from the side this is the thinnest TV we've yet to see and a striking design statement in any interior.

Ultra HD Premium - meeting the highest standards in UHD 4K
Taking UHD 4K to its maximum ability, Ultra HD Premium introduces additional compatibilities and the assurance of the highest performance possible. Highlights include full compatibility with HDR (High Dynamic Range), making the LG OLED55E6V TV compatible with the exciting new 4K Blu-ray format. Coupled with the stunning resolution of UHD 4K - four times that of FHD 1080p - the results are sensational.

The finest screen technology - OLED
Welcome to the finest TV screen technology - OLED. Organic Light-Emitting Diode - OLED - TV offers perhaps the most advanced picture quality currently available. Unlike LED screens, OLED doesn't require backlighting, so the colour is consistent right across the screen, with greatly enhanced contrast levels.

Dolby Vision for dramatic imaging
Dolby Vision optimises the HDR format to give quite simply the sharpest, most accurate images possible. Dolby vision-equipped TVs, like this LG, can decode both generic HDR content and content that's specifically been encoded in Dolby Vision - a leading format in Hollywood and cinemas. Dolby Vision also adjusts the picture to take full advantage of each display's characteristics and presents an optimized picture for each scene in specially mastered content.

ColourPrime Pro technology
Helping to give this TV one of the most natural picture qualities in its class, LG's ColourPrime Pro technology displays the finest details of colour and gradation, giving a natural image that's as about as close to 'real life' as a TV can get.

Cinema 3D TV with 2D to 3D conversion
Cinema 3D TV is the popular passive 3D system from LG. Passive 3D TV is considered more comfortable to watch with less flicker. Other advantages include a wider viewing angle and brighter images. The glasses are great value (two are included with the TV) and also considerably lighter to wear. The lack of batteries onboard also means they don't have to be recharged. What's more, with 2D to 3D conversion, you can get the 3D experience with any program - whether filmed in 3D or not.

Powerful sound thanks to built-in subwoofer and Harmon Kardon tech
Developed in conjunction with AV and Hi-Fi experts Harman Kardon, this 55 inch TV's audio system offers a step-up from the average 'thin' flatscreen TV sound. With its powerful 40 watt amp and built-in subwoofer, this TV has richer and more powerful sound than less well equipped TVs. OLED Surround is also standard and gives a more spacious and immersive sound.

The best smart interface is better than ever with webOS 3.0
Widely acclaimed as one of the best smart TV interfaces, LG's webOS 3.0 operating system is now better than ever. WebOS 3.0 uses superimposed icons, folders and side bars for clear and easy access to smart content without leaving the current screen image. New to webOS 3.0 is the ability for split screen viewing, letting you watch live TV and Blu-ray, for example, at the same time. Other new features include LG smart appliance control and access to the LG Music Player app playing through the TV's speaker system - even when it's turned off.

Freeview Play for catch-up TV
Freeview Play makes catch-up TV easy. Find programmes from BBC iPlayer, the ITV Hub, All4 and Demand 5 sitting alongside over 60TV Channels and up to 15 HD channels. Simply scroll back in your TV guide to watch shows you missed from the last 7 days. Just make sure your TV is connected to the internet and you're good to go.

New "Magic" tech
Linking in with the new webOS 3.0 system is a range of "Magic" features. These include Magic Zoom for screen magnification without loss of image quality. The Magic Mobile Connection lets you stream apps from your smartphone, straight to the TV, for seamless big screen entertainment. An updated Magic Remote will now also operate the power on your set-top box, giving effortless one-remote control of your TV.

The ultimate in design and picture - TV simply doesn't get much better than this.

LG OLED55E6V is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 63.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Stunning looks/ picture, a few niggles. Delivery went very smoothlY. Good time to buy due to price dropping. It is easy to set-up, though instructions are very poor- watch Lg videos first if unsure. Stand seems very stable on our cabinet. It looks great. My only issue with the OS is that we are only using it for streaming/ blu ray/ xbox and have no TV aerial- it makes it a little tricky to navigate. I like how picture quality has improved in past 10 years- last bought a set in 2007. Sound is also much better, fine for me, but not amazing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simply Superb..!!! I decided to go with this TV due to the majority of expert reviews online..and after seeing it in action for myself I could see why...The picture quality is outstanding and the built in sound bar very good for a very slim TV....and I mean slim...it's a picture on glass design and this helps to make the screen anti glare without compromising picture quality.. I'm not going to go into technical details about the TV itself as there are too many to list and but you can look these up on the LG site..As to the features of the TV...I can highlight some of my favorites..Firstly...the response of the TV are quick in comparison to my other LG tV despite having the web os system..LG have made it super quick now and loading of pages a dream and very slick..The picture itself is stunning and Black and whites have never looked so good...I'm actually re-watching all my movies again as I can't believe just how much detail my other TV missed..even small details in dark areas can be seen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfection I bought a LG 850v on Boxing Day and was never really happy with the picture. I spent hours trying to get rid of banding and other issues. Decided to go for the best and the OLED is exactly that. No issues, easy set up, love the remote and operating system. My wife said I'd never find a perfect picture but I have and am happy. If you want a new TV this is the one. I will never buy anything else now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from lg 55e6v oled tv only had the tv for under a week so still experimenting with the settings. Bought this tv to replace my Panasonic 50vt30 plasma so it has a lot to live up to.The hd picture is stunning and matches my plasma.I was worried about what I had read about motion blur especially watching football but so far haven't noticed any.Wanted to have 3d as well like my plasma....don't watch 3d a lot but nice to have especially as the latest models don't have it.The 3d picture is good and being passive you don't get any annoying flickering like my plasma, which is active..Sound is ok but a bit tinny on high volume so better put through a sound system. Overall I think this tv is a good replacement for my plasma

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product and service Popped into to richer sounds for a quick look at the Easter deals, was met by Tom the store manager after a 10 min chat I ended up buying a new TV 8 months after purchasing a Samsung 4K TV. All I can say is Wow the difference between the LG OLED and Samsung 8200 is like night and day. Both 4K but not in the same ball park. Sky cube and Netflix 4K through this screen are so Cristal clear with a depth of colour, real black levels and motion control that is a pleasure to watch. Plug a 4K blue ray into it and just sit back and see films like never before. There are a couple of gripes, firstly you do get motion blur on fast moving images now and again more noticeable on football in 4K. Secondly because of the glass screen configuration the wall mounts are at bottom of the TV so if you looking hang TV on an existing wall mount expect to either have a stiff neck due to the new height of your TV or you will have to re drill and hang the mounts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simply outstanding - the best TV bar none I finally decided to take the plunge and get the TV of my dreams, and so far I have not been disappointed. The picture quality is simply outstanding once set up - head straight for the picture quality settings and switch to ISF Expert, turn off all the other image processing features and enjoy. I found I needed to experiment a bit with the motion smoothing - eventually settled on a User setting with maximum de-blur and de-judder or 1 for smooth motion without introducing the dreaded soap-opera effect. First film I've watched is Avatar with the passive 3D, and wow it really did live up to expectations. Image was completely natural to watch with no distracting defects that I could make out. A real shame this has been dropped for the 2017 models. The smart TV services are very handy. One thing to watch out for is that the image settings aren't all copied to all inputs even if you select "copy to all inputs" - you still have to set them separately for 3D and Smart TV apps.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This TV is a different league ! Was nervous about spending over £2k on a tv as my two old plasmas were still going strong. The picture quality of the new oled in hd is definitely an improvement on the plasma which was a quality set. Streaming ultra hd through Netflix and the picture is stunning, Pablo Escobar might as well be in your room watching narcos. I am no TV geek so still using pre set picture options. I tried following you tube calibration videos but have struggled to find one i like . Also found that the sound was initially quiet from the soundbar until I turned on the auto volume feature which immediately increased the volume whilst watching through my virgin box. Now really pleased with the sound and quality with speech very clear during films and TV programs. Overall very happy with purchase and advice from Richer sounds. A handsome looking set with picture and sound to match
