Enjoy super-detailed 4K UHD images for less, with the fantastic value Panasonic TX49DX600B.

4K Ultra HD TV

Boasting an UHD (Ultra High Definition) 4K screen resolution, the Panasonic TX49DX600B demonstrates astonishing levels of detail. This resolution is four times greater than the more conventional 1920 x 1080 Full HD TVs and it's a difference you'll really notice. This DX600B model is also compatible with the format required for streaming Netflix 4K, for 4K entertainment straight away.

4K 800 Hz BMR for a crisp response
The Panasonic TX-49DX600B uses a 4K 800 Hz BMR (Backlight Motion rate) panel for a super-crisp motion response. This means that when watching action movies or sport, this 49 inch TV has the speed and clarity to keep up with the action without motion blur.

Spacious sound
In addition to offering a superb picture quality, the Panasonic TX49DX600B also offers good sound quality too. The built-in 20W amplifier provides full-bodied sound, while VR-Audio True Surround produces a surround sound effect. There's both analogue (via headphones) and optical digital audio outputs, so it's easy to add a home cinema system or soundbar/base.

Effortless operation with my Home Screen 2 powered by Firefox OS and Voice Assistant
Highly rated by the reviewers, my Home Screen 2 offers an attractive and clear operating interface which is also easy to customise. By using clear, superimposed icons, it's easy to find the function you want. Better still, with just a few clicks you can get your favourite apps, web pages or even TV channels to appear on your own customised Homepage. With clarity and easy customisation, this is how Smart TV should be! Voice Assistant means you simply have to speak into the controller to bring up content and search results.

Integrate your entertainment
When it comes to smart TV flexibility, the TX49DX600B has all the features you need. A wide range of web apps are complimented by a full web browser. DLNA certified streaming makes it easy to transfer music and video files from your home computer, laptop or NAS drive to the TV. Also standard is Swipe and Share functionality. Swipe and share lets you use the Panasonic VIERA app for smartphone media sharing. By using the app on your smartphone or tablet you can easily stream pictures, 4K videos and music straight to the TV - no cables required.

Freeview Play for easy access to catch-up TV
The Panasonic TX49DX600B features Freeview Play. This combines catch-up TV, on-demand services and live television to make it easy to watch what you want, when you want. It's free from subscription and compatible with existing broadband services, while BBC iPlayer, ITV Player, All 4 and Demand 5 are available without having to open specific apps, giving effortless scroll-back TV (requires broadband Internet connection with a minimum speed of 2Mbps).

With its smart spec and 4K resolution, 4K TV has never looked so good at this price.

PANASONIC VIERA TX49DX600B is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 114.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another great Panasonic TV. Perfect in-home set-up by your team I have been loyal to Panasonic TVs for many years. This one replaced an excellent 8 year old plasma. The 4k picture quality is a revelation at this price point, equalling that on my main 1 year old 55" set. I used the Richer Sounds in-home set-up service and applaud the Richer representative who arrived on time with the set, connected it to my AV system and left everything immaculate with new features of the TV fully explained.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Let down by USB positions Two USB ports RIGHT NEXT TO EACH OTHER! Unless you have got a very very slim USB plugs you cannot fit them both in together. I use Sandisk Ultra, one of the most popular. I wonder whose bright idea that was. Playback of media files not brilliant: has trouble with srt subtitles. You have to go through the menu to tell it to output to headphones. Apart from all those obvious design flaws, a good television. Still can't believe the positioning of those USB ports!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Up grade from My LG Plasma 40" Now 20 Years Old cost £3,000 The picture is very clear as you would expect from a new high definition tv,The controls are easy to use even for a person of my age bracket and didnt have to look on the internet on how to use or program the tv,So far its great iff any change in future will let you know. The picture is very clear as i have had my own cinema at home for the last 15 years with a projector of various types on a 180" screen.so would recommend this tv at present as a great tv for the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great buy I replaced a Samsung LED screen which had started to show lines across the screen. The new Panasonic is excellent for viewing HD, especially programmes shot in that format. The definition is not so good when it comes to sports channels but still pretty good

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Amazing picture in HD Amazing picture in HD, 4K viewing on YouTube is something else. Standard picture OK as expected. Sound not too bad for an LED but hooked mine up to a 12 year old AV amp and sounds brilliant! Very easy to set up and navigate through the apps, although a dedicated keyboard would make life easier to type searches in.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Replacement television Our old LG television was starting to show its age at 11 years of service so time for a look for a new one Richer Sounds had good reviews so did a bit of research on the Internet and paid a visit to the York shop Very experienced staff demonstrated the Panasonic that we were interested in Very easy to set up - and I mean very easy Picture quality is very good and has quite a lot of 'extras' with catchup and apps Sound quality is not as good as I would have liked but we will give it a few weeks to see if we adapt before investing in a sound bar All in all a great purchase
