Top quality construction for the best sound
Like all Pro-Ject turntables, the X1 eschews gimmicks for the best sound quality possible. The top quality bearing uses a combination of stainless steel, brass and Teflon for ultra-low resistance. Combined with the isolated motor, this gives the X1 smooth, consistent speed. The heavy Acryl platter offers the ideal interface for vinyl records – helping produce a more natural sound.
Vibration resistant
Using a heavy, MDF chassis, the X1 is far more rigid and resistant to vibration than plastic-based decks. In addition to this, height adjustable, hybrid material feet effectively damp away mechanical vibrations form other hi-fi components on the same shelf or footfall in the room.
Super-rigid tonearm for the best signal
The new tonearm uses a carbon and aluminium sandwich construction for super rigidity. The stiffer a tonearm is the more effectively it carries the sound, undistorted to the next stage in the signal. A further high-end feature is the TPE damped counterweight – helping to reduce resonance distortion still further.
Fully adjustable
For those of you wanting to get the very best performance from your deck, the tonearm also features pro-level adjustments. As well as the usual weight and anti-skating, you can also adjust the VTA (Vertical tracking Angle, or height) and Azimuth. This gives near infinite levels of fine-tuning.
Ortofon Pick it S2 cartridge included
Matching the quality of the deck and tonearm, the supplied Pick it S2 cartridge is supplied by cartridge experts, Ortofon, to best suit the characteristics of the X1.
Speed control – at the touch of a button
Although Pro-Ject have kept unnecessary features to a minimum, the electronic speed control helps provide a clean and stable power supply to the motor – with the further advantage of push button speed control between 33 and 45.
Choice of luxury finishes
With 8-layers of painting and hand-polished finishing, the X1 looks every bit as good as it sounds. Choose between high gloss black, white, or satin-waxed walnut for the finish that best suits your style.
