Using solid-core, triple balanced construction, the Audioquest Red River interconnect offers incredibly low levels of distortion, making this a purist's cable.
Solid-core conductors
For many years Audioquest has advocated solid-core rather than multi-strand cables. Electrical and magnetic interaction between strands in conventional cables can cause distortion, giving the sound an unnatural edge. Using long-grain copper, the Audioquest Red River gives a cleaner, clearer sound than regular cables using oxygen-free high-conductivity copper, thanks to fewer impurities.
Triple balanced geometry
hree conductors used in triple-balanced configuration ensure the positive and negative signals have equally low-distortion conducting paths. The shield is dedicated to screening rather than being used as part of an inferior quality conductor, and has its own pin in the connevctor.
Cold-welded, gold-plated plugs
By using a high-pressure weld rather than solder, there's less chance of a faulty connection between cable and plug. This gives a more reliable long-term connection, and ensures low resistance for a low distortion connection for the entire life of the cable.
Balanced in terms of construction and sound, the Audioquest Red River is an accomplished all-rounder.

A worthwhile investment
Immediate impression is improved detail and ehhanced soundstage even when compared to previous implementation of Cord C line RCA. An expense but a long term investment to harvest the benefits of this connection method between Streamer and Amplfier for my specific deployment. As ever top quality service from Richer Sounds

A definite improvement in detail and soundstaging
I replaced bog standard cheapo XLR cables with this so i would have been surprised if there was little or no improvement !
These cable are a definite upgrade though and my Cambridge Audio CXN V2 connected to my Azur 851A Amp sounds much crisper and the soundstage has really opened out .
A bit expensive but very worthwhile i think . Definately Recommended . Richer Sounds at Chester had them delivered the next day -excellent service ,

Great Product
This cable was recommended to be by the deputy manager, I wasn’t aware that XLR cables were used for hifi’s these days and can say that I’m thoroughly impressed with how these sound and the build quality, would recommend this option to anyone building a HiFi.
