Slim, stylish and packing a mighty twin-bass punch, the Q Acoustics 3070S provides a solid foundation for both movies and music.
Twin cones for maximum punch
Rather than using one large cone, the 3070S uses two smaller cones. This has the advantage of offering the same surface area as a larger cone, for depth and rumble, but improved speed. Smaller cones can move faster and so offer a punchier sound with more accurate timing. Thanks to the built-in 140W amplifier, power and control are never an issue, either.
Quality construction
In addition to sounding better than most subwoofers at this price, the 3070S is also better finished. Flush-mounted drive units and curved edges greatly improve the aesthetics, while spiked feet keep the sub firmly planted and help 'tighten' the bass response.
Easy to accommodate
Compared to rival subwoofers, the 3070S is easier to live with. At just 200mm wide it can fit into spaces conventionally-shaped subs won't. Placed against the older Q Acoustics 2070i, the newer model is also more compact, especially in terms of depth.

Exactly what I was hoping for.

Impressive Bass but not Overpowering.
Only bought the sub yesterday but already impressed with the performance.
It did need a bit of experimental tweaking before I was happy with the results.
Only negative point so far is that auto-on function seems a bit erratic.
Tended to flick switch to ‘on’ setting to ensure sub is definitely operating.
Overall , a decent sub for the price.

Great sub woofer
This is the second Q Acoustics 3070s that I have bought, as I got one for my son to use in his man cave, and I was very impressed. My 20 year old Yamaha sub gave up, so I bought a new Q Acoustics 3070s for myself - great piece of kit.

Great Service
Called the Oxford store and spoke to Kaz about a product I wanted. He didn't have it in stock but said he could order in. Called two days later to confirm it was in the store and followed up with an email.....I collected the next day with no fuss........perfect!! The product was spot on too!!

Great sound at a great price
Completely rounded 'down' my Dali based speaker sound stage. As usual the staff are very well informed and in this case enabled me to see a cheaper option was better given my use context. Thanks again - well over 10 purchases from them through the years.

I was wrong
So I took delivery of my 3070s unboxed it my first impression was it is a lot bigger than I thought and the build quality was fantastic so I grabbed an extension lead and my old subwoofer cable of 15 or more years plugged it all in put some music on and turned the volume up a little and nothing just the same bass tone I thought surly this can’t be that bad just a big long boom box so I persisted for an hour or so changing the subwoofer level on my receiver moving the unit around the room changing the phase switch and HZ settings still absolutely no change in sound quality to be perfectly honest my sound bar and subwoofer has better bass so I gave up contacted richer sounds returns team complaining about the product a few days past and I thought one more chance thinking I bought a brand new subwoofer lead at our previous house and never took it out the packaging so I grabbed the new lead plugs everything in put some music on and wow my mind was changed the subwoofer became alive so for the next few hours I just listen to music and movies back and forth and couldn’t believe what I was hearing this unit is fantastic it has plenty of bass weight and very well controlled sound it’s powerful enough and can be very delicate to all in all a brilliant bit of kit would highly recommend especially if you’re room isn’t massive absolutely love this subwoofer what a bargain glad I never sent it back
