Older product but still good
Bought this discontinued Sonos product last month for my bedroom. I have several other Sonos products and this one was ideal for my bedroom set up. No worries about it being optical only as the bedroom TV is more basic than my lounge one (which has a Beam gen 2 connected via eARC). Richersounds were fab and having the 6 year warranty is a nice bonus.

Fab Company, Fab staff and another Fab product. I am already a big Sonos fan and I have been eyeing up the Playbase for some time, Now I have it, it has totally transformed the TV sound. It's even better when hooked up with two Play 1's, providing full surround and deep bass. If you have not yet ventured into the world of Sonos and it products I suggest you do. You will not be disappointed and all are very easy to set up and use.

Big, warm sound with lots of base. Wow!
This has given us a huge upgrade to our TV watching experience. In retrospect, the sound that came from the TV (a 43inch 4K Toshiba) was just so thin and unsatisfying. It’s our first bit of Sonos kit - the setup and integration with our home WiFi is superb and very easy. Be warned though, you will want to buy lots more Sonos gear for its ease of use and big, warm sound. The bass that comes from the Playbase is unbelievable once you set your eq’s using the Sonos app.
