The Q Acoustics Qi80CP ceiling speaker gives a fantastic Hi-Fi quality sound from a discreet in-ceiling design.
Unobtrusive design
Utilizing their years of experience, Q Acoustics have put their engineering prowess into creating a compact yet powerful unit. With a depth of under 90mm and a slim bezel and grille design that clips magnetically into place, you can be assured that the Qi80CP will compliment your room in a discreet manner. A round grille is supplied as standard with square grilles available as an optional extra. You can change between the grilles freely without removing the speaker.
Powerful output
Q Acoustics have a strong pedigree in producing award winning speakers and the Qi80CP inherits the benefit of this experience. Boasting a large, 8” woofer, the QI80CP provides incredibly low levels of distortion and colouration. A high performance tweeter provides a smooth and detailed treble. The output level of the high performance tweeter can be adjusted as well as being swivelled, giving you the flexibility to fine tune the sound for your room. Combined this allows you to truly enjoy the sound as it was meant to be without any negative influences.
This performance model also has a larger magnet assembly; this translates into a greater power handling ability. The crossover also utilizes high quality precision components along with gold plated connectors. All combined to give you a fantastic sound.
Built for your home
To make installation easy the Qi80CP comes with a template. Should you wish to paint the speakers to match your décor the speakers also come with protective dust covers and cloth backed grilles. The Qi80CP is also moisture proof and built utilizing ‘UL94’ flame retardant materials in their construction.
Designed to blend seamlessly into your room yet deliver Hi-Fi like quality, the new Qi80CP strikes the perfect balance between aesthetics and performance.
Please check with your builder / installer whether you need to install a fire hood with this product. "Low smoke / zero halogen" specification speaker cable may also be required.

Superb sound quality
Wow!
So much positive feedback on these speakers that we had installed in readiness for a big birthday party.
Clarity of sound was excellent. Builders installed so cannot comment on installation.
Look lovely in and mounted too.

Q Acoustics Qi80CP
Currently I have the 3030i 3020i 3010i speakers for my 10.1 Auro 3D setup. After testing each and every speaker against the Qi80CP I can honestly say that they sound comparably to the 3020i's.
If you're using this as a VoG (voice of god Auro) or as purely atmos speakers to match the other Q Acoustics range, I can wholeheartenly recommend these speakers.
The only hurdle I encountered, was trying to mount the speakers on the ceiling with the magnetic plastic protector speaker still attached. I recommend you either make holes in the plastic for the mounting screws, or just use some protective gloves and make sure you don't damage the speaker/tweeter when mounting it.

Needed some rears and had no option other than ceiling speakers. Went for the 80 as second choice to the 65's, after advice from the Richer sounds.
Glad I did, they sound better much than expected with plenty of bass.
They compliment the rest if my Q acoustics set up perfectly.
