Richer Sounds believes that health is wealth and offers its colleagues a number of benefits designed to promote wellbeing. Amongst these are subsidised gym membership, a ‘giving up’ incentive for smokers, contributions towards shoulder and back massages, chiropody sessions and subsidised dental cover.

We also take part in the government’s Cycle to Work scheme. We appreciate the value of a break and encourage all our colleagues to take their holidays. To help everyone to do this, we have six holiday homes around the UK (plus one in Amsterdam!) for colleagues to use.

Friendliness, honesty, enthusiasm, common sense and passion for music/movies is much more important to us – everything else can be taught. We offer a comprehensive training program on the products we sell. Our training modules cover everything you need to know about our products, assisting customers and progression through to Store Manager status.

Every colleague gets their Birthday (or next working day) as an extra day’s holiday. Richer Sounds operates one of the country’s most recognised suggestion schemes, and actively encourages colleagues to submit ideas on how to improve the company. The vast majority of suggestions are financially rewarded. We also contribute towards driving lessons if you haven’t passed your test and after you’ve been with us for a while, you’ll be eligible for colleague discounts on the products we sell.
