Designed to give maximum punch for your pound, the REL HT/1003 doesn’t hold back. Featuring a 10” CarbonGlas woofer, powered by a 300w digital amplifier, this REL sub has power aplenty. It’s this punch that gives movie soundtracks the ‘edge of seat’ suspense and gaming the totally immersive feeling of being part of the game.
REL quality
Although the HT/1003 goes deep and loud it doesn’t do this at the expense of sound quality. As you’d expect from this leading subwoofer brand, the HT/1003 uses quality components and a rigid cabinet to produce a low distortion, highly realistic bass. This means that a bass guitar, for example, actually sound like the real thing, rather than just an approximation of one.
Optional HT-Air for wireless connectivity
For wireless connectivity, simply purchase the HT-Air module. Unlike other wireless subs, the HT-Air uses a unique, zero compression, system developed by REL. Using a state-of-the-art chipset, the HT-Air wireless transmitter offers flawless signal quality with zero compression. Delivering a latency (lag) figure of just 16-20 milliseconds, it’s hugely superior to the more common Bluetooth method of wireless connection. Put simply, the bass keeps up and stays in time with the action.

Designed to be as narrow as possible, the HT/1003 has neat, compact style on its side. Rounded edges and elegant feet further reduce the visual bulk, making this subwoofer harmonise with your interior better than most. Fully adjustable
Making sure you get the ideal sound for your room – not too boomy or too light – the HT/1003 features a range of adjustments. The level control establishes the volume while the Crossover control gives seamless integration with your existing speakers. If your room dictates that the sub is positioned behind you, then simply flick the phase switch and the sub will correctly align itself. If it’s tucked out of sight, then use the Auto power function for hands-free power-up.

Great piece of equipment for the money
I bought this subwoofer around 3 weeks ago and have paired it with my sennheiser ambeo it’s absolutely great and blends in really well with my furniture, I must say for a sub from the lower end of the market, the visual aesthetics and sheer performance in my eyes puts it well up there close to my dads PV-1.
Overall fantastic product and am very pleased with it

Cracking sub with real punch and low end rubble !!
Bought this sub to go with a Denon AVR x2700 in a 5.1 arrangement, using 4 Monitor Audio Radius 90s and 1 x 200. The sub was easy to integrate with the speakers and transformed the small monitors sound, to that of floor standing units. It easily shakes the house when needed, and I only have it on 1/3 power! Bass is tight and it digs deep when needed. Musically it can hold its own, and sounded great to me across a number of ‘What HiFi test playlists’. However I’m no audiophile….clearly :)
As for Richer Sounds….well they are in a league of their own! They helped me through an initial purchase of a Samsung sound bar which I had to return due to lip sync issues, and then the purchase of a Denon AVR x2700 and the REL sub (Radius speakers I bought used due to budget). They ensured I demo’d all the kit I was considering and made sure the customer was happy all the way through…can’t say better than that!!

It has made the sound I wanted and speaker covers.
I bought this on the advice no of James over the telephone. Wasn’t sure if it was what I wanted but he remembered who we were and had sold us the other part of the stereo. I will definitely take his advise in the future especially if we can’t visit in person.

I know enough about AV to make my own choices this is for a bedroom which is 6 m x 4 with 5.1.2 atmos
Rel only make home subs. The 300 watt rms opened my eyes
Clean lows and accurate, hard to describe because it all depends on your room but you can’t go wrong with this. Was going to go for Dali E9 But this had more power which makes a difference doesn’t matter which way you look at it.
They calling a home theatre sub (ht) but is perfectly fine with music it’s just because it doesn’t have the high-level input which I don’t use anyway.

Nice subwoofer
Bought this three weeks ago, together with a passive monitor audio speaker. Nice size, quality looking subwoofer. I use this subwoofer in a large 7mx 6m room. Sound quality is good but struggles with size of room. In hindsight would probably gone for the tel 1210. In smaller room probably would sound great.

This subwoofer is amazing
I brought this about a week ago and the sound from this subwoofer is amazing. The bass is deep and super fast. I combined my set up with q acoustics 3050, 3010 and a centre. I wanted the train crash since from super8. I could not believe the sound. The explosions come thick and fast.
I sat there with a huge smile on my face. Brilliant.

Blends in perfectly and plumbs the depths
I bought an REL 5Ti about a year ago with the aim of uniting it with my Hi Fi. But it found its way onto my Home Theatre set up where it stayed. Being Social Distancing at home I have been rearranging my kit and 'pinched' the 5Ti to use with my Hi Fi where it is perhaps better suited. So what to replace it with on my HT system?
After some investigation I went for the HT1003, and it's perfect. It reaches to about 24Hz which is plenty low and the controls are so easy that it integrates beautifully with the HT sound system. You are not aware of its existence most of the time where it just underpins the sound making it more real and spacious. In particular in a film thriller the threatening music that sits behind many scenes is beautifully highlighted. Then suddenly a gunshot or explosion reminds you of its quality.

Great sound, nice tight base
I bought this a little over a week ago. I already had a good idea of what I was after and could afford. Having made many purchases previously I was already confident with the expertise shown by the Maidstone staff. A big thank you to Sebastian for his help and knowledge without the big sales pitch. It really did help especially with convincing my wife this was the one to go for. I have this Sub paired to a radius 225 centre with the aim to upgrade the rest as and when. I have my set up in a large open plan area and this sub still manages to fill the room. A good piece of kit for the money

Door Shaking Bass
Bought a couple of weeks ago, took a while setting it up to integrate nicely with existing kit (denon amp and Acoustic energy 2+1) but provides a depth of Bass that’s awesome, no good if you have attached neighbours though!

REL HT1003
Phoned the store to check on stock levels, as I had been told by another store that there weren't any in stock local to me.
The Store manager, checked the stock, and confirmed that they did in fact have the REL HT1003 in stock. He put the item on hold for me, so it would not be sold.
Upon arriving at the store I was greeted by friendly and knowledgeable staff, and even through they were very busy, offered to demo the item for me to ensure I would be happy with my purchase.
After a brief discussion about my home setup, they confirmed my choice.
Getting the REL HT1003 home, I unpacked it, and setup was amazingly easy.
Having hardwood floor I swapped out the installed feet, with the supplied rubber feet, as this offered a more stable base.
After a short time of dialling in the settings I was greeted with something that blended perfectly with my Dobly Atmos setup of Anthony Gallos A'Diva speakers. This certanly packs a punch for it's size.
I have always had Rel Subwoofers, so was very keen for my new purchase.
This is an amazing subwoofer for this price point.

Brilliant sounding subwoofer
I have had this REL subwoofer for two weeks now it was to replace an old Tannoy sub. In my otherwise excellent sounding Tannoy Arena setup.
It has transformed the sound and balance of my system ( Denon AVR 6400 ) Whether playing blockbuster movies or music, l have a large collection of SACD and DVD Audio discs, they have never sounded better, the bass goes so low cut is always rhythmic tuneful and tight. Yes I fully recommend this subwoofer, don’t hesitate, buy one, you won’t regret.
By the way the staff at the Chester branch were friendly,knowledgable and very helpful in my purchases.

Wow what incredible sound!
My current expensive sub has just given up the ghost so off to Richer Sounds for a replacement. Was demonstrated the REL 1003 which proved to be extremely adequate for the job. Bought it from very knowledgeable staff, who also price matched the deal, got it home and was blown away with the performance. It’s small but very punchy and much easier to set up. I am now over the moon with this purchase and will venture back to RS for more equipment in the future.

This sub is ideal for people wanting big sound for their home cinema setup. It’s very well made, stylish and compact and is specially tuned to get the best sound for action movies, you can also purchase the add on WiFi unit allowing you to place the sub anywhere without the need for a wired connection to you’re amplifier, highly recommended.

Excellent product.
Our much loved B&W PV1 died on us a while ago, and from reading various forums I decided not to bother getting it repaired.
After much reading I decided to go with this design from a highly respected manufacturer.
The physical size had a lot to play in the final placement too, it fitted in perfectly.
The important factor is - after a bit of tweaking to the crossover and volume level it does sound wonderful. It is being driven from a Denon 2310 7.1 unit, I`m still using the excellent M1 speakers I bought in 2008.
It is ofcourse still running in but I am delighted with the product and at a sensible price too.

Fantastic Product, Over the Moon

Main duties are film via projector but also adds a nice weight in stereo music.

Fit my needs perfectly
I needed a subwoofer that would have quality sound without blowing the windows out. I have neighbours and they would be knocking at the door if i went up to the crazy big subwoofers.
Chris at the Leeds store recommended this subwoofer to me and he was spot on. It looks amazing in the room. It has has nice tight punchy bass. I was watching Game of Thrones and when the dragons arrived, i was blown away. I don't think i've ever grinned so much in my life. It sounded amazing!
I would recommend this subwoofer to anyone looking for great sounding bass without annoying the neighbours. It can get super loud if you want that though?

Superb hopme cinema sub.
I have the T7 and have owned various other Rel sub's over the years. And have always bought Rel due to their ability to be so good with Music. But with a new cinema room to fill. I knew i didnt need that. So focus on cimena only and you will be blown away. Amazing little sub that easily fills my 4m sqaure room.

Excellent home cinema subwoofer and easy to setup
Subwoofer was very well packaged by REL and the quality of the product, in construction and sound is excellent.
Setup was simple only minor issue was that the manual says that for the "Off/ On/Auto Switch" Auto On mode is right when in fact it is the middle position. Also speaker goes to auto standby after about 10 mins of no audio signal (not 30 mins as stated in the manual).

Muscular sound .
Saw this on the wesite and fitted my needs. Replaced an old KEF Kube sub that had been on its last legs for some time. The KEF ‘eggs’ still perfect. The oomph has returned so very happy with my choice.The 4K blurays sound amazing, particularly Bladerunner 2049.
