Transport only, for your choice of DAC or digital amp
As a transport only, the Attessa CD Transport comes without a built-in DAC (Digital to Analogue Convertor). This not only saves you money but also gives you the freedom to choose your own DAC or partner the CD transport with a digital amp, such as the matching Roksan Attessa amplifiers.
Short signal path for low jitter
Minimising the length of the signal from the laser means there’s less space and time for the signal to denigrate. This means lower levels of jitter for a smoother, less distorted sound. Less distortion means more detail and a more natural, lifelike sound quality.
The perfect match for Attessa amplifiers
Blending seamlessly with the Roksan Attessa amplifiers, the CD Transport looks and works perfectly with either the Attessa Integrated or Streaming Amplifiers. By simply using the MaestroUnite communication between CD and amp, the two units are optimised with one another during set-up. They also make the perfect visual match.
BluOS control of the CD player when paired with Attessa Streaming Amplifier
When connected to an Attessa Streaming Amplifier you also get the option of BluOS control. This not only lets you control the CD Transport via your smartphone or tablet but also gives you the potential to play CDs in other BluOS compatible music zones.
MQA playback when paired with Attessa Streaming Amplifier
Another advantage of pairing the CD Transport with the Attessa Streaming Amplifier is the benefit of MQA playback. MQA (Master Quality Authenticated) playback, as used by the likes of TIDAL Masters, gives top quality sound without data heavy files, making it a popular system with streaming companies.

Excellent product.
After reading all reviews on comparable CD players, this seemed the best, even though much cheaper than some of the others. Highly recommended.

Excellent CD transport unit
Bought to replace 40 year old Philips unit that, after four House moves, has died, and what difference. The bass is solid and the clarity significantly improved. Will shortly be purchasing the matching streaming amplifier, to replace an Armstrong 625, to complete my system upgrade.

After a six month wait my unit finally arrived, was it worth it ? Yes. It came Friday morning and as been on most of the weekend ,brilliant digital precision with a near vinyl analog presentation very pleased with both the amp and the cd. Finally I would like to thank all the staff at Richer sounds Sheffield for putting up with at times a grumpy old man and to all other members I have dealt with.
