The famous C-CAM Gold Dome tweeter now has a new Uniform Dispersion Waveguide II. This is designed to give a more natural and lifelike sound, with less distortion. The 8" bass cones and 3" mid-range units feature the latest version of Monitor Audio’s distinctive RST (Rigid Surface Technology). Inspired by the Japanese art of Origami, RST II uses lightweight cones that are made more rigid by complex surface pressings. The result is sound that’s fast to respond and that gives a powerful sense of rhythm.

The secret to the Silver 500’s powerful bass is response is not just in the size of its cabinet, but also the twin C-CAM RST II bass drivers. Adding an extra bass driver effectively doubles the amount of air being shifted and takes the bass from deep to mighty.
