The perfect companion for Ruark speakers The Ruark RS1 isn’t like the average subwoofer; it’s way more stylish than that. Ideally suited to Ruark’s MR1 Mk3, R3S and R410 models, this subwoofer enhances not just the high level power but also the depth of sound, giving a smoother and richer balance. Using an industry standard RCA input, this Ruark subwoofer is also compatible with most other home cinema and hi-fi speaker systems, too.
Deeper, richer sound Designed for a richer bass response, rather than outright power, the RS1 uses a 170mm long-throw, powered woofer together with a 170mm passive cone to add weight and body to your music and movies. With less strain on your main speakers, you get a more lifelike and natural sound, whatever the volume level.
Dynamic and controlled Although the RS1’s focus is very much on quality over quantity, it’s no slouch when it comes to power and control. Featuring a built-in 100 watt, Class-D amplifier, the sub is more than capable of sustaining higher volumes and keeping a tight control on the bass. This means that the bass is dynamic and fast to respond, enhancing the music’s thrilling sensations.
Choice of premium finishes Designed to pair with the MR1 Mk3 speakers, as well as other models, the RS1 is available in a choice of premium finishes. Choose between Rich Walnut and Satin Charcoal for the style that best suits you. Both finishes feature a wrap around, slate grey fabric grille that softens the aesthetics for a more room-friendly feel.
Easy set-up Auto-on/standby means that you don’t have to switch the RS1 on/off each time you want to listen. Connection is via a simple RCA cable, with a 1.5 metre cable supplied (longer subwoofer cables are available in our stores, online or via telesales). The adjustable crossover adapts from the tiniest satellite speakers to large standmounters, and everything in between. Switchable phase control keeps the sound in sync if the subwoofer’s placed behind you.
