Rated 2 out of 5 by MattyColes from Great feature set, poorly executed I am not a fan of this soundbar for several reasons. - The main sound is very clear but feels too central, when compared to my 55" Samsung Frame TV which has its speakers slightly wider than the sound bar. The surround effect from the side speakers is OK, but not balanced in my living room since there is only a wall on the left side of the room (the right side is open to the dining room) and therefore doesn't reflect the side surround. Generally, I found the sound too tinny. Night mode was much worse being too hissy. - Smart things app should be much better. You can’t control all the soundbar parameters on the app (you can only control some of the sound parameters i.e. side and rear) whereas all other features must be controlled through the provided remote control, and the layout of the app page is not great for accessing other features such as having to dig down the menu for night mode etc. The SMART THINGS app needs to be better as there is no display on the soundbar (only visual feedback of blinks of the LEDs on the top). - The remote has volume and bass but and buttons for all other settings but I am astounded that this second remote is required for using this SAMSUNG soundbar on this SAMSUNG TV. I have since learned that the SONOS requires no additional remote control, most features are controlled through the app, and the SONOS soundbar can accept signal from your TV's standard remote. To me, having reliance on this other junk remote is inexcusable. - The voice assistant volume is set way too loud. If you are listening at normal volume, any setting (VOICE, TREBLE, BASS, CENTRE, SIDE) or notification (NETWORK IS DISCONNECTED!!) is shouted at you when you least expect it. Not great trying to watch things quietly at night. Almost pooped myself once when the WIFI connection dropped and it decided to announce this at full volume. You can switch this voice assistance off in the app, but then you can’t really tweak the right settings. - I was really surprised when it gave the option to offer soundbar + TV mode, I guess in effect to provide Q-Symphony (surprised as my 2020 TV model is not listed as Q-symphony capable). It did sound good! And for this reason I tried to overlook all the other issues… but this option was only on WIFI... which wasn’t stable and dropped out occasionally (refence to pooping myself above). It would also not offer to pair in this mode on HDMI! Also when connected in this mode you are then stuck with only two sound modes; GAME (which amplifies the surround and background too much) and ADAPTIVE SOUND (which gives the soundbar free reign to amplify and modify the sound as it sees fit, which definitely did not always sound great). I feel it needs STANDARD mode in this case. - The sound quality and volume on the HDMI was poor compared to WIFI and Bluetooth. I probably should have investigated this with different leads but I have honestly lost the will with this soundbar and gave up. I also believe the sound to be different between Bluetooth and WIFI which is weird, as I would expect it to be the same? - The power lead has a box halfway (approx. 1.5m) along its length, and therefore where we wanted to mount this over the mantlepiece the box would be left dangling on show, with no way of concealing this. I also think the mounting brackets are black which may show when wall mounted. - Sound bar switching on with the TV was hit and miss, I think this is because The Frame TV in Frame mode is not actually off, so the soundbar does an auto switch off. And then if it did it wouldn’t always default to the previously selected mode. - If you wanted to expand / upgrade in the future the additional woofer (£300) and rear speakers (£150) plus cost of the soundbar (£196) makes for a pretty expensive system. (~£650) at which price you might as well start getting an ATMOS capable system with included sub etc. Generally this purchase has been more frustrating than enjoyable and not worth the noticeable but variable improvement in clarity of sound it brought. I’ll be returning it imminently.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Smiffy99uk from Not Impressed I had problems from the start, it kept in disconnecting from the TV and wouldn't reconnect until it had been power cycled. Samsung support unbelievably told me it wasn't designed to work with WiFi. And I quote "I understand Thomas But I don't think that it is really a fault with the soundbar its just that the soundbar is not built to work that way. I recommend using a different type of connection like bluetooth or via HDMI connection" It's advertised that it's Alexa enabled, it isn't! It has Alexa voice built in but Alexa doesn't recognise it as a speaker in speaker groups. Item it sold as described. I have now sent back and have a refund

Rated 5 out of 5 by Maddy26 from Good Sound in a nice package I hooked up this soundbar to my TV and I could feel the audio difference straight away. The sound and music is more clear and the movies now seem to have a better bass. It is without a dedicated subwoofer and is more than adequate for a small room. The 5.0 channel also works well. Overall a nice purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by RichardSE from Good separation, VFM Good channel separation, which was what I was after. Ideal for bedroom TV but not home cinema. Bluetooth and Wifi/SmartThings work fine. Samsung Alexa integration typically patchy. Despite 2 woofers, bass is minimal, although to be expected without discrete sub.
