Stunning picture and sound, better firmware please
Fabulous TV and value for money for a 65 inch 4K OLED TV. Overall I am extremely impressed at both the image quality and the sound from the built-in speaker system. Out of the box when it arrived, the TV needed some tweaking to its settings but once calibrated the picture really popped and has extremely natural colours, great contrast and smooth motion. The sound is also impressive considering how thin this set is, excellent low frequency response (mine is on a stand and about 20-30cm from the wall) and plenty of punch. Initially the operating system and smart features were responsive and easy to operate.
The biggest issue though has been with the latest firmware update, which from what I have read is not just me. In December 2022 my TV updated to firmware 1420.9 and since then I've had a number of issues, some annoying. First of all the picture quality lost its pop and sharpness, as well as some of the brightness. I have though managed to readjust the settings and restore this to an acceptable level. However more annoyingly is that on many occasions, the TV will do a cold start when switched on - i.e. displaying the OLED logo and then taking almost a minute before I use the settings. I've no idea why it keeps doing this, I've tried unplugging and resetting the TV but it seems to randomly decide to do a cold start out of standby.
Another issue I've noticed with firmware 1420.9 has been the frequency of the automatic screen optimisation feature - it keeps popping up every few days and sometimes interrupts my watching, turning the TV off and then having to wait 10-15 minutes! I've also noticed the channel list sometimes is sluggish, especially on start up and randomly it turns on my AV amplifier over HDMI - even though I have the built-in speakers selected.
I really hope Samsung will issue a new firmware update soon to rectify these issues and restore the stability and quality of the product that was present in the previous firmware version.
Despite these grumbles and annoyances though I still love the TV. I've no idea though how I'll move it if I need to decorate or move house as it's one of the most fragile sets I've come across! The screen is unnecessarily thin and would be very easy to bend if not careful.
Oh... and one final thing. Despite my best efforts with the Samsung smart things app, I have yet been able to use Alexa to turn on the TV reliably. Turning it off is fine though! :-)

Its going back
When you get to the point that you have to put the tv in the middle of the room because you need to get to the back to constantly remove and reset the HDMI cables.... its time for the tv to go back. Sorry Samsung but my loyalty to your products has diminished.

Good picture, poor everything else
A lovely picture so colourful and bright. However, the build quality seems poor, particularly considering how much you are spending. My tv stand came in two parts that had to be screwed together. The holes for the screws didn't properly align so I couldn't use the screws that came with the device. This tv is VERY flexible. You have to be very careful how you handle it as it does bow and flex as you move it, more than you might expect. Its incredibly thin, which is pretty, but it is also very impractical. Once you have it in position you will never want to move it again. The documentation that comes with the tv is very basic. A piece of A3 paper folded in 4.
I have a pair of wifi headphones that I would love to connect to the tv if only I could find the information I need. The help within the tv menu simply says to connect your sound device to the same wifi network??? what does that mean?? who connects headphones to a router?? headphones connect to a device. its connected to my pc on the same network and my tv cant see it. Ive googled it, can't find anything. Spent an hour on Samsung online chat help. Was finally connected after about 45 minutes. All they did was confirm some basic contact details before disconnecting and I was bumped back to position 4 in the queue. Seriously Samsung! very poor service and appalling lack of info. I still have no idea if you can connect wifi headphones to this tv.
Oh and please dont suggest I contact your customer services again. I wont be doing that. They have my info already, but I doubt I will hear from them.

Promising but extremely frustrating. I'm regretful
This is my first Samsung TV. Whenever I've seen them in the past with previous technology I've always thought they were a bit too vivid (or at least nobody adjusts their settings).
This TV look fantastic. Although you'll have to keep adjusting settings depending on which channel you are watching as the TV doesn't do a good job of applying a good picture to all of them unlike my previous 2017 Sony 4k TV did.
This TV has other problems too. The auto colour space setting does nothing (known problem) and this is very frustrating as you will always been in and out of the settings to fix. Occasionally when watching TV via an external box the sound will cut in and out perhaps every 30 seconds or so, I have reproduced this issue on my mother's TV also (they are the same TV), via both Virgin box and BT YouView box.
Samsung have ruined the peak brightness on this TV for all modes aside from Dynamic (who watches that anyway with the overblown everything?). This was after all the amazing YouTube reviews so beware if you are buying for the peak highlights. I feel I've been mis-sold this TV in that respect as even watching movies or TV in standard/FMM HDR are not hitting the luminance that were available when this TV was first released. Even acknowledged here by popular YouTuber (see here for explanation https://youtu.be/_QHELJNFruQ ).
Tizen is really poor to use. Full of adverts and often not smooth to run. It can also update to new, broken updates even if you turn off auto update so beware. I've now disconnected my TV from the internet. I've resorted to using a Chromecast with Google TV which now acts as my OS for the TV. Therefore I've lost an HDMI port and gained an extra TV controller. Annoyingly, the are rumours of new Samsung TVs having Android/Google TV so they just realise Tizen must not be fit for purpose.
The smart remote lacks a dedicated input and settings button. You can reach the quick settings but you'll need a few more clicks to reach the settings menu you actually want to use. As noted above, you'll be changing the settings on most channel changes so it doesn't look too overblown or skin looks red.
Aside from the fantastic QD-OLED screen technology, I feel this TV is far inferior to my 2017 Sony TV.
I feel Samsung have rushed this out the door and new firmwares are making it worse and removing features (most frustrating is the peak highlights in any mode other than dynamic). I would recommend the panel but not anything else about the TV.
Stupidly I believed the hype and recommended this set to my mother before I had a chance to spend much time with it. Now she is stuck in the same mess as me.
Samsung if you are reading this, please contact me to discuss and resolve.

AMAZING TV BUT....
I've had this tv for three months now and i have to say it looks amazing, was easy to set up and the picture looks amazing. In simple words its a great tv but let me tell you some honest negatives that make this tv feel years behind other brands.
1 - The home screen is full of stuff that aren't important. Upon starting the tv it's lagging which makes it feel like my old tv despite it being new.
2 - There's no way to completely disable Samsung tv plus
3 - Can't uninstall certain apps and make the tv "My own" basically there's no customization at all except from moving apps from left to right.
NOW ONTO THE NEGATIVES FROM OTHER PEOPLE AROUND THE WORLD
1 - It looks like your playing a lottery where you might receive a bent tv or a straight one which might put people off.
2 - The biggest problem I've encountered since owning this tv is the new software update. My tv want's me to update to the newest software but looking at the reviews of some customers image doing dull, sharpness completely being off and brightness going down. Also some users have said disabling the auto update function doesn't work and the tv just updates itself anyway. So basically now I'm living in fear fearing the worst that I might turn on my tv to find it updated. It's a silly thing honestly. I thought updates are suppose to fix issues and not make your tv worse. As a loyal Samsung customer I really thought Samsung would help their customer out and that brings me to the last point.
3 - I've noticed that Samsung is basically taking the path of "out of sight, out of mind" with all those complaints around the internet, I've not really seen Samsung wanting to help it's customers at all. I don't understand that because in the long run, Samsung will damage it's reputation so why ignore your customers, and why release updates that break tv's instead of making them better.
My conclusion is that I'm very happy with my tv, and I've been one of the lucky people to receive it not bent, and luckily have the later update which hasn't broken my tv yet. But it's in the back of my head everyday knowing my tv might update itself randomly and ruin my image quality which loyal customers shouldn't have to worry about.
So for anyone interested of buying this tv, your basically entering a lottery and you might win or lose. You might get a bent tv or not. And your software might be the troublesome one or not.
It's a weird situation to be honest.

Glitchy!
I had high hopes for this tv however in reality I should have gone for the Sony 80j.
I bought a Samsung 600b soundbar to go with it, thinking because they are the same brand they would be compatible. The soundbar is supposed to work in conjunction with the tv sound but it doesn't. Moreover, the sound drops out and becomes randomly intermittent.
Bit like a Norman Collier tv!
I don't want to be messing around with firmware updates and super hi priced HDMI cables. I don't want to keep having to switch off and on at the mains.
There is noticeable ghosting on some moving images like football players,
But occasionally I see the tv panel it's supposed to Be, on a sky tv advert or some other fixed picture.
Might still take it back and get a Sony!

Great TV but with one serious drawback
There's a lot to like about this TV. The colours are bright and the picture is sharp. There's a good choice when it comes to inout sources and it's easy to get everything connected, However, I've taken off one star because of the stand supplied with the TV. It is not good enough. Fitting the TV onto it nearly had me beaten until I watched a YouTube video where the guy admitted that the fittings are not the best and it's a tricky job to get the TV attached, I appreciate that a lot of people will wall-mount the TV but that doesn't mean Samsung should scrimp on quality when it comes to the stand, I eventually managed to get the TV attached but it's not sitting as I'd like it (there's a backward lilt on it) so I may well end up wall-mounting it, but I shouldn't have to. I can live with it as I love the actual TV but it was disappointing that Samsung have let themselves down with the poorly designed stand.
