Now in its third incarnation, the Cambridge Audio Minx MIN22 is better than ever.

The Balanced Mode Radiator (BMR) effect

Using a single BMR drive unit and an additional woofer, the MIN 22 speakers give pinpoint accuracy and burst with detail right up to high volume levels. BMR technology combines the advantages of both flat panel and conventional speakers, so unlike some small speakers, they won't turn harsh or brittle when the sound gets intense. With a dedicated woofer unit built-in, the MIN22 offers even greater dynamics and scale of sound over the smaller MIN12 model.

Latest V4 drivers
Already well established as one of the most popular small speakers around, the Minx MIN22 has a revised BMR drive unit. Now in its fourth generation, the new unit uses a larger magnet for improved efficiency, while driver excursion has increased from 2.2mm to 4mm, giving enhanced lower-midrange for improved integration with a subwoofer. Finally, the BMR unit moves in a more uniform manner, giving a more accurate sound across all frequencies.

Incredibly versatile
Neat and compact, the MIN22 is incredibly discreet and easy to place. Yet, with a wide range of mounting options, it's also one of the most flexible speakers. Take your choice from optional matching wall brackets, desktop stands or height-adjustable floorstands - there's a solution for every mounting requirement.

Luxury finish
With smooth, curvaceous lines, the Minx MIN22 speakers look every bit as good as they sound. With a choice quality black or white scratch-resistant finishes, it's easy to match them in with your decor or AV system, too.

Ideal for home cinema, discreet hi-fi or desktop audio, the Cambridge Audio Minx MIN22 speakers offer quality sound, style and flexibility like little else.

Speaker Enclosure Type
Type of speaker enclosure. Infinite baffle cabinets are sealed and so are often less fussy about placement. Usually they do require a little more power to drive, though. Bass reflex speakers are usually more efficient than infinite baffle designs but may require more care in terms of placement. Rear port designs, in particular, usually need at least 15-30cm (6 - 12 inches) between them and the wall behind, for a balanced bass response. ABR = Auxcillary Bass Radiator (looks like a standard bass cone but without power)
Infinite baffle (sealed)
CAMBRIDGE AUDIO MINX MIN22 is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 13.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good and bad, but mainly good! The speakers sound great, a big sound from a small unit. If your placing them on a back wall with the speakers facing out then the brackets will do the job. My big gripe is for me that is not possible and I've had to have brackets custom made so they can positioned and angled for my requirements. I nearly looked for a different speaker because of this and think Cambridge Audio would be wise to make a bracket capable of signicantly improved angling. They do sound great though!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cracking Little powerhouse of a speaker Bought a new TV and my old flat panel Mission speaker was too tall to fit in front of it so after a little bit of searching and reading reviews online I opted for the Minx MIN22 and what a speaker, after setting up my amp and getting the levels sorted I am now very impressed with just how much sound this little thing gives out whether its music or movies it sounds excellent.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great sound from tiny speakers These little wonders deliver an extremely clear and powerful sound. My only concern is that they need a subwoofer (they simply do not cover lower frequencies). And once you add that you no longer have a tiny speaker setup. You also are paying quite a bit more than you would for a pair of good bookshelf speakers (such as the Cambridge Audio Minx XL). So the question is do they sound better with a subwoofer than a pair of smallish bookshelf speakers? I think perhaps they do - the bass from a subwoofer wins and the clarity of the mid and upper frequencies on these is lovely.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Well built / good sound I bought 4 of these to add to a sonos system and for surround sound and so far so good - they arent cheap at £120 each but they appear to do the job well and sit well in the room fixed to the wall.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice solid design and impressive sound range Bought to compliment my Cambridge Audio One along with Minx sub woofer. The pair do a great job, look great and with the various mounting offers built into the design it is easy to find a place to locate them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from small size, big sound!!! I needed much smaller speakers as part of a 2.1 system after i upgraded to a larger screen (Brought from RS as well!) and was impressed that the Min22 deliver a lot of clarity and volume despite its size. Build quality is very good. the speakers are deceptively heavy as well. Really impressed so far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from mid speaker it made a better mid speaker than larger more expensive ones, it is quite powerful for its size and it does not deliver scratch like sounds at high notes and its size makes it very useful. I am very pleased as I struggle with speech.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Small and beautifully formed I got a pair of these to go with my Cambridge One, I live in a narrowboat so every inch counts, and that leads to compromises. I had hoped to be able to fit bigger speakers, but the ones I had wanted were too difficult to site and anyway too big and overpowering in the space. So, I went for the Minx Min 22s. On their own I think they sound "thin" with not enough low notes. That's not surprising given the size. I therefore paired them with the smallest Cambridge woofer (actually the X 200). The sound was transformed, very much for the better. Now I love them and the sound they bring to the boat. Plus I understand that these speakers do actually change sound over time, as they are "bedded in", like a car engine -- makes sense! I have a third speaker, an old Minx Min 20 which I am going to experiment with in a simple Hafler set-up -- will be interesting to see how three speakers sound!
