"Harder, better, faster, stronger: essentially, the kind of product evolution we like to see. This YouView box is a great PVR." What Hi-Fi Sound & Vision magazine. 5-star review, tested at £200.

YouView brings it all together

YouView brings together live and on-demand TV in an effortless, intuitive way. The Humax DTRT2000 YouView set-top box brings you over 70 digital TV and radio stations, including eight in high definition. With the major BBC, ITV and Channel 4 stations all available in stunning HD and without a monthly subscription, YouView makes a tempting choice - and that's before the catch-up TV is taken into account.

Scroll back TV
YouView has a comprehensive service and once connected to your network via Ethernet gives access the BBC iPlayer, ITV Player*, 4OD, Demand 5, Dave and, in Scotland, STV Player. What really marks out YouView is the effortless user experience - simply use the Electronic Programme Guide to scroll back on the last seven days' TV programmes. In addition, a wide range of on-demand programming is available - simply type in the name of the programme and let the intelligent search function find it for you.

Record, pause and rewind live TV
Featuring a built-in 500GB hard drive, it's easy to record, pause and rewind live TV. The hard drive holds up to 300 hours of standard TV or 125 hours of HDTV - enough to be able to catch up on all your favourite TV. With the pause and rewind function, interruptions are no longer an issue - simply pause the live TV and resume when you're free again.

Remote programming and recording via app
Available for both Apple iOS and Android smartphones, the dedicated Humax app lets you take control of programming lets you record from your Humax box, wherever you are. Once paired with your device you can remotely select which programmes you want to record and, with a display that replicates the TV menu, it's easy to programme.

With access to HD and catch-up TV made this easy, the Humax DTR-T2000 makes digital TV accessible to all.

* ITV Player is available in England, Wales and The Channel Islands.

Award Winning Digital Receiver
HUMAX DTRT2000 500GB is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 98.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from NIce effective PVR. I have two of these units. Very good, but not as good as the service from Richer Sounds Cardiff. The 5 year extended warranty was certainly worth having for £17.50. One machine failed after 3 years and Richer Sounds were excellent in getting this sorted. Would recommend the product and the vendor. Get your warranty money back if not used. No brainer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Humax box top is easy to set up and has some great features. I was pleased that it was not difficult to set up and it has all the features I wanted.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from noisy hdd drive when recording. Problem with noisy hdd when recording - quite annoying. Would be better to have a light indicator to show when unit is recording. Lack of wifi unacceptable at this price. Some staff seem to have little technical knowledge.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Pretty good, all things considered My Philips PVR died quite spectacularly and I realised that I missed the facility to pause 'live tv.' Having lost everything on the Philips' hard drive I really wanted something that would also record / archive to DVD but could find nothing that would be compatible with my ancient tv, hence the Humax - the 'least bad' option. Compared with the Philips the Humax is ponderous to operate, especially the Electronic Programme Guide which requires more presses of more buttons to reach basic information. I'm still looking for a way to toggle between the current and the last programme viewed and suspect that I won't find one. Worryingly the Humax has already 'frozen' and become completely unresponsive three or four times when left pausing live tv. I got out of the mess by unplugging it but suspect that I'm experiencing incipient unreliability: if it happens many more times I'll be back on Richer Sounds' doorstep. A second machine evincing the same problem will have me seeking a refund.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Hi its difficult to recommend this product as I have only had it a few days, but so far so good To date I have managed it more or less although I think the guide which comes with it could give a few more details. At the moment I am trying to find out why when on some channels the picture goes in square mode, does not fill the full screen as on channels 1, 2, 3 and some of the freeview ones, I have not managed to locate a syatem on the Humax which will explain how I can put this right.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does everything you want it to! Stylish and looks good on top of DVD player. Does everything it says on the tin! It's also fast. Slight reservation - a little noisy - light grounding sound, but nothing offensive!
