Privacy when you want it

Easy setup

Amazing Sound

Transforms the soundstage of the Television
Very impressed with the sound quality particularly films with the added benefit of Atmos technology. Highly recommended for those who want an uplift in home entertainment. I am also impressed with the quality of the product well designed and Sonos have invested in qiuality materials and packaging.

Epic soundbar
Great soundbar and used for both TV viewing and general audio - radio and music through start speaker. Easy to set up - took a while to get voice sync sorted with Samsung TV and Sky box but all good now. Thought it was good but then added sub which takes it to another level. Far better base (inevitably) but also improves all the mid range as well. Not cheap but easy to set up and looks and sounds top quality. What’s not to like.

Very good indeed by soundbar standards.
Soundbars are generally a poor substitute for a proper discrete component system. This one is much less of a compromise.
I thought I'd try it for a bit and maybe send it back if dissatisfied. It's pretty expensive after all. It arrived, I plugged it up and was initially really disappointed. It sounded thin and tinny and not much better than the speakers in my TV, which are shocking. I was going going to return it when...
I tried the Trueplay room calibration thing. Free app on any IOS device. Absolutely incredible transformation. It now sounds gorgeous, and not a million miles away from the Genelec reference monitors that were there before.
I got 2 cheapish Ikea Symfonisk speakers for the rear surrounds and the system improved dramatically again. And not just the spacial imaging. The quality of the Trueplay room alignment is also much better if you have the extra point sources in the room.
So after a couple of weeks this system starts to look like an incredible bargain. You've got a complete Dolby Atmos capable surround system that sounds really full and lively for less than a grand. The aesthetics are way easier to live with than a system of 7.2.1 discrete speakers, and you can have it working well inside an hour instead of taking days to rewire your viewing room.
The low end is extremely good without the very expensive Sonos sub too, although I've even so impressed that I might just try one out to see what difference it makes.
Finally, people have mentioned lip sync issues. I don't have Sky Q but on Freeview, Freesat, Netflix and Amazon I have experienced no sync issues at all. It's rock solid, pin sharp lip sync.

Great Playbar upgrade
I had the Sonia Playbar before but found the optical connection fiddly and wanted to have a more powerful sound. This is an awesome speaker that looks great and is really powerful. I’ve really enjoyed watching Dolby Atmos supported stuff on Netflix it feels so immersive.

Great sound, easy set up
2 weeks into using this and I'm impressed. Particularly the low end sound it can achieve. The only negative is I'm not convinced that the Dolby Atmos effect really works. I'd read a few reviews that suggest it's one of few sound bars that the Atmos feature works well. So far I'm not convinced.

ARC with Older Play:1 surrounds/Works with LG CX
I managed to get an Atmos/DD surround system utilising my older Play:1s paired to the Arc and the new S2 app so saving £358.
Some effort is required to add older 'incompatible' speakers to the Arc, as they will initally not be seen by the S2 app, only the older S1 app.
You must 'factory reset' your older speakers first and then add them via the Arc's 'Add Surrounds' setting once they are discovered. It's not plug & play, but doable.
The S2 app is a great improvement and it's easy to adjust for TV lip sync and Surround volume. I have a LG CX TV which has an eArc output, so once connected with the supplied hdmi cable and Sound Out set to ARC & eARC enabled on the LG TV, you are good to go. The S2 app shows that you are receiving Dolby Atmos, there's nothing on the Arc itself, it works in Netflix and ApplyTV+, but PrimeVideo shows only DD5.1 (for the programs I've looked at so far), but they don't state Dolby Atmos anyway.

Great sound
Really pleased with the performance when through e-ARC - I don’t believe you need the additional sub in a modern sized front room. However, Airplay2 can be a bit hit and miss when adding to an existing stereo HomePod set up, drops out from time to time. P.S. The ‘dodgy’ power connection that people have commented on, isn’t - you just need to push in further than you’d think!
Oh yeah, the Richer Sounds service was as impeccable as ever

OK, on its own, but much better with surround
At £799 these are expensive, but i decided to treat myself. I previously had a cheap Samsung 5.1 system. Which was also a DVD player. It didn't go loud enough and was old. So i swapped it....
The surround sound with the Sonos was very average. I thought it would be much better. I was quite disappointed. It was frankly pants.
However the bass, music and Alexa work really well. You can tell from normal music and TV this is good quality.
I went to Ikea and got their Symphionis (2x rear surround) speakers, which have identical circuit boards as the Sonos 1 (see youtube for teardown videos showing this) and are half the price. I now have stunning surround. It can go really loud if i need it to. I am not sure i want to spend £599 on the sub, as there is loads of bass as it is and sounds so good.

an excellent bit of kit
So, ignoring sonos supply problems which Richersounds had no control over (but kept me regularly updated - thanks Mikey).
Setup was relatively easy once the app was given location access “while using app” rather than the logical “once only” during setup.
Was worried that the placement of the Ones might be an issue as they are on the same plane as the sofa and not behind us. Needn’t have worried as once the true sound was sorted the speakers sounded like they were a few feet behind the sofa - amazing!!
Watched a good noisy marvel movie and the atmos and surround really put you in the middle of the action with the sub pushing floor rumbling low frequency without being over loud.
The only minor niggle is that because it is linked to the tv by HDMI ARC connection the tv will no longer use its internal speaker. Switching the selection to tv speaker is then switched to HDMI after a few seconds so the sonos rig is on all the time while watching tv.
Other than that, given we got a sonos discount for owning other sonos gear (that Richersounds matched), we are very happy with the new wireless setup.

Brings to life the whole room
Excellent sound from the Sonos Arc sound bar, in my eyes (ears) the best out there. Together with the SL Ones and Sub Gen 3, the sound quality is out of this world, especially for a wireless system. Easy to install and set up and with the app, which also opens up another world for all your music needs.

It was a long wait but definitely worth it. Extremely easy to set up and pair with technology. Looks great and produces a real good refined sound. Even the box it comes in is really smart. The only thing it lacks is bass when using it to stream music. Other than that, a great buy

Excellent addition to my LG 55 INCH TV. The sound it produces is superb. You have the ability to alter and make fine tweaks to the sound. Watching anything with Dolby Atmos is awesome! Easy to use via the Sonos app.
