Thanks to wi-fi connectivity, you get to enjoy the unmatched Sonos experience at home. When you’re out and about switch to Bluetooth for a direct link to your smartphone or tablet. Compatible with wireless Qi chargers, it’s easy to keep the Roam’s battery topped up. For an even neater solution, Sonos’s optional Roam Charging Base (sold separately) magnetically snaps to the base.

Tough and durable – IP67 rated
IP67 rating means that the Roam is waterproof up to a metre, for 30 minutes. This makes it brilliant on the beach, at a pool party or for just singing in the rain. The drop-resistant construction is perfect for life on the move.
Voice control over wi-fi
When you’ve got the Roam connected via wi-fi, it also doubles as a voice-controlled speaker. Compatible with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa, you can play music, check news, set alarms and get your questions answered, all by simple voice command.
Control any way you want
Sonos Roam seamlessly syncs voice, app, and button commands, enabling you to manage music with a single word, tap of the app, or push of the button. Combine voice control with the Sonos app to manage all your music in one place.
Pair for stereo sound
Just like other Sonos models, the Sonos Roam can be paired up for stereo sound. Link two* using the Sonos app and you’ve instant, immersive stereo sound. *Note, pairing only works via wi-fi and so requires being within range of a wi-fi hub.
Take the sound of Sonos to new places, with the Sonos Roam.
Once you’ve unboxed Roam, you can start charging using the included USB-C cable and a 7.5W (5V/1.5A) or higher USB power adapter. To set up Roam and connect it to your system, just open the Sonos S2 app while on WiFi and follow the prompts. When you’re ready to stream over Bluetooth, pair Roam with your mobile device by holding the power button until you hear the second chime.

Fantastic smart speaker
I have been looking to purchase a smart speaker that I could use in my garden. For me it was always going to be the roam as I have other Sonos speakers.
Connectivity was simple, the sound quality for such a small speaker is amazing. It’s well built and the sound is crystal clear.
I also purchased the charger which the ever fantastic Richer Sounds gave me at a discount price.

Superb Sonas
I wanted some advice regarding a fully portable speaker and what better place than at Richer Sounds. Not only did the salesman have superb knowledge, but he took the time to explain the functionality of the speaker..in fact he spent a good 30 minutes imparting his knowledge. Another Winner From SONOS
Excellent unit. As with anything SONOS, it's a bit on the pricey side...but you do get what you pay for. The connectivity is ace, the adaptability to a room or outside is noticeably good, build quality firm, and overall sound quality surprisingly defined and expansive for such a small unit. Highly recommend purchasing from Richer Sounds, as always, excellent service.

Packs a punch
I'm really pleased with the Roam. It was a toss up between this one and the Move but the Roam fits my needs perfectly. It's mainly being used as a garden speaker and the sound is excellent. It has the added benefit of being able to link in with the other sonos products in the house too. The sound it produces for such a small device is absolutely fantastic. Very impressed.

Great service and product... eventually.
Bought online and received the next day, so no complaints with the usual great service from Richer Sounds. However, after setting everything up, completing all the necessary linking and checking everything I could think of, I couldn't get a sound out of it. Luckily I still had enough wits about me to see through the red mist, and I performed a factory reset. Then I went through the same setup procedure again and it worked like a dream. So it's a great product, but it proves again that today's wireless technology is still more than a little flakey, too intricate and not at all robust.

Sonos Roam - Huge Sound from small devices
Bought a pair of these ahead of a trip abroad. Great service at Hull Store - bought one Roam and one Roam-SL - didn't need Alexa on both, saved £20. Found them a little temperamental setting up on wi-fi both on the home system and then on the wi-fi of the villa - to use a pair. Bluetooth is simple enough but seems to only run one per device. Got there after a reset.
The sound though is well worth the wait. We've had various portable speakers in the past but the depth, range and sheer oomph of these on their own is market leading, but as a stereo pair they are truly banging. Filled the room at home well enough, but outside, poolside, on holiday, with no neighbours, they are just class. Filled the entire outside with sound. Brilliant little devices, crystal clear, amazing bass for small devices. Would recommend.

Jury is out. issues with Sonos 2 app
Added roam to long standing system with three Play 5s which are incompatible with Sonos 2 app. and a beam and two play 1s. Have split to Sonos 1 app and Sonos 2 app,but having teething problems . Will be contacting Sonos for advice. Roam itself great. Blue Tooth works fine, great sound and BBC sounds app at last up and running.

Brilliant little speaker
Bought this as a birthday gift for my other half and we are really impressed with the sound quality and the ease of setting up. We already had the Sonos 1 so it was simple to link them together to use as a pair. The size is very easy to handle and the charging plate makes it so easy to charge. It also adapts to its surroundings with Truesound.

A bit pricey, but sounds (and looks) great
Finally got around to buying a Roam after much "thinking about it"......delivered next day by RS.
Looks very good and sound is great (It goes pretty loud too) for something so small, almost on a par with the Sonos One (casual listening). Battery life is good, I have my doubts about the full 10 hours but it's early days.....on which subject make sure you fully turn off the speaker (hold power button for 5 seconds until the second "chime"), otherwise it goes into standby which does seem to use up the battery quickly.
I've had a couple of small "glitches" with the app suddenly hanging, but there have been 2 or 3 updates this last week so we'll see if this has stopped now; it could also have been my wifi or even incompetence to be entirely fair.
Overall a recommended addition to any Sonos setup I think.....

Superb sound
I already had a Sonos Move which is great for use around the different rooms in the house, but decided to buy the smaller Sonos Roam so that I can take it on holiday with me, it is so light and the sound is full of depth, just like it’s bigger sister. I bought this for my husbands xmas present. He is a sonos fan and has them all around the house. The roam is just what he needs to add to his system so he can take it into the garden or shed and also when we go away on holiday. It is extremely portable and the fact it is waterproof is a good selling point. The sound is great for its size.
The salesman at Richer sounds was extremely helpful when i placed the order on the phone and he even put it on express delivery at no extra charge so it would arrive in time for Christmas. Top vlass service and top vlass product

Excellent audio - especially when you get two!
I wainted a good quality sound system that was portable, battery powered and weatherproof. Sonos Roam ticks those boxes and more. On its own it packs a punch, but when two are paired in stereo...wow! Real depth to the sound and decent volume. The app is a little fussy but OK once you get used to it.
