Great TV - Perfect coming from a Plasma
I did a lot of research and anything but Oled was no goo after being so used to true black and fast refresh rate from my Plasma. This Oled is top notch and delivers on everything, (I had tried the NeoQled but was no good).....It also has real life quality picture - We were watching a TV program where someone was spoking a pip, (which had been left below screen out of shot). My wife and I though the carpet was on fire and was smoking!!!! It was that real looking.....its just amazing!

Confusing software
This is the second of this type of TV we have bought. It has the same brilliant picture as well as the annoying message, that can't be switched off, about turning off. This new one now has an annoying software issue whereby it keeps rebooting and won't switch on when the sky box is switched on, unlike the first one we have.

Excellent picture but …..
Very good picture quality. The sound is ok but struggles with dialogue, to be fair a lot of television do but as this was sold on the acoustic sound feature, it is a tad disappointing. The real problem is Google Play and the Android features which are not intuitive and look outdated. Apple headphones do not seem to work with this tv despite many attempts to pair them. Ok if you are just seeking a good picture.

Transformed our viewing
We have purchased this 2 weeks ago and have been reluctant to go to a 48” screen, having been used to a 36” screen for many years. This transformed our viewing experience in so many ways as we also purchased a sound bar too. We hadbt appreciated the definition and quality of later models and as we watch films more than other programmes it has made a big difference in our whole viewing experience

Been over a year since I purchased this TV and I could not be happier with it. Incredible picture quality, sound is fantastic and adjustable in many ways. Screen is as slim as it could be and no wasted space with visible speakers. Personally I can not see any possible reason to add a sound bar unless you want to sit in another room. Would I buy this machine again, yes I certainly would.

Bouth this TV a few weeks ago and like all the functions, sound quality and the design. Only downside at the moment is we were told to connect a USB HDD hard drive for recording TV programmes. I bought a new USB HDD drive and have spent hours trying to get it to work. Its formatted but still says its not connected....

I’ve had the tv for two weeks now. Fantastic picture and sound. Watching wildlife programmes is an utter pleasure. It is so well built. Excellent quality. Just remember that most programmes will look the same as on your previous tv. You’ll only notice the difference when viewing in HD or UHD. I would recommend this tv to anyone but remember it’s three times tge price of a UHD tv so tge choice is yours. Definitely go to Curry’s and look at the OLED screen next to UHD.

Superb quality; superb service!
I've only had this tv a couple of weeks but I'm already blown away by the improvement in picture quality from my old TV. I used to own a sony xf90 (also purchased from Richer Sounds) and, whilst it was a class leading tv, it cannot hold a torch to the Sony A9. Pictures are cleaner, clearer, and the colours more natural without being oversaturated. I calibrated this set myself with Calman for Bravia and an x-rite pro plus. It was already pretty accurate out of the box, but the calibration just helped dial down the slight excess of blue in the grayscale ( a common thing I find with most Sony tvs). Typically the most accurate out of the box Sony picture setting is Cinema/pro, but this is no longer the case. Custom was the most accurate, with an average grayscale Delta Error of 3.8 compared to 5.2 in Cinema (DE's of 3 or below are generally considered undetectable imperceptible to the human eye). Also, if you download the Calman for Bravia app from Google Play it unlocks two further picture presets: Custom Pro 1 and Custom Pro 2. These are are ideal if you want one set of picture settings for SDR and another for HDR, allowing you to flick beween then when the respective content is being shown. Or else you may choose to have daytime and night-time picture presets, with a slightly brighter picture for daytime and lower brightness for evening.
Sound wise the Sony A9 is OK, perhaps better than most. But like most modern TVs it is crying out for a soundbar or AV system. I have a JBL Atmos soundbar and sub and it makes a huge difference to clarity of sound, depth and soundstage, and bass. However, should you choose to persevere with the internal speakers you are presented with sound that is both clear and detailed, if rather lacking in depth and 'oomph'. The service from Richer Sounds was first class. From the moment of order to the time of delivery, Richer Sounds kept me updated with everything: I even got a phone call from the onboard courier to update me on their progress.
In short, I cannot recommend this TV and Richer Sounds highly enough - a winning combination!!!

Great smart TV
Most OLED TV's have great pictures, due to OLED display technology being the ultimate solution. However, sound is often compromised by the lack of volume in such thin display screens. What sets this TV apart from the rest is the innovative use of the screen as the cone of the 'loudspeaker'. The sound is so good that a sound bar is unnecessary except for the most discerning audiophile. The picture is perfect, but the sound quality gives this TV the edge over the competition.

Very pleased with this TV
Superb picture and one of the few TVs available with proper sound quality without a sound bar. Set up is fairly easy, although menu system a little over-complicated, with duplicated functions eg Youview app and native digital tuner doing the same thing. Overall an excellent performing TV and worth the extra outlay over cheaper models. Great service from Richer Sounds with free next day delivery.
