Enjoy infinite contrast levels for the deepest blacks with the Sony VPL-760ES.

Laser diode power

Taking the ultimate technology in projectors, the Sony VPL-760es features a laser diode light source. This offers many advantages, the first of which is the picture with superb levels of contrast and colour realism. The design should also last longer than a typical projector bulb and also provide more consistent performance over its lifetime.

Infinite contrast for stunning black levels
A dynamic contrast of infinity:1 brings every scene to life with exquisite detail and realism. Laser light output is adjusted dynamically depending on content of the scene, achieving both deep, inky blacks and vibrant colours.

HDR for the most vivid picture quality
Get the most from today's UHD Blu-ray and streaming services with High Dynamic Range. HDR video offers an expanded brightness range that delivers more realistic, high-contrast images and brilliant colours. Compatible with both HDR10 and HLG (Hybrid Log-Gamma) formats. Sony’s home cinema projectors reproduce colour and contrast that's true to the director’s creation.

UHD 4K resolution for the ultimate detail
Thanks to their massive experience in all aspects of entertainment, Sony are now able to bring the detail of 4K Ultra HD resolution to the home cinema. Simply put, projecting in this resolution gives detail and realism that's impossible to achieve with conventional Full HD resolution. UHD 4K resolution is four times greater than the more conventional 1920 x 1080 Full HD projectors and it's a difference you can easily see on a large projection screen.

Super Resolution Reality Creation
Watching a 4K signal from a source such as UHD Blu-ray, Netflix or Amazon Prime is awesome but the VPL-VW760ES still excels with other resolutions, too. Exclusive Reality Creation technology analyses images right down to the pixel level. It uses powerful pattern-matching algorithms developed over years of movie production to enhance image crispness without increasing digital picture noise. It also upscales existing full HD Blu-ray Disc and DVD movies to near 4K quality.

Motionflow makes it smooth
Whatever you're watching, you'll enjoy a liquid smoothness during fast-moving action scenes with Motionflow. This innovative technology creates and inserts extra frames between the original frames, first comparing key visual factors on successive frames, then calculating each split-second of missing action.

HDCP2.2 on both HDMI sockets
Improving on the lower models in the Sony ES range, the VPL-760ES features HDCP 2.2 compatibility on both its HDMI sockets rather than just the one. Compatible to highest current level - up to 4K 60p YCbCr 4:2:0 / 8-bit and HDCP 2.2 - this means that you'll be able to use the projector with two of the latest UHD 4K video sources, including UHD Blu-ray.

Focus on the most realistic image in its class, with the powerful Sony VPL-760ES.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beast HDR Beamer Well I'm a JVC guy and coming from JVC X500, JVC X5000 and I know about JVC's pure blacks. So I was choosing between JVC X9900, Epson LS10500 and Sony VPL 760ES. Once I was told that 760ES is available, I was one of the first few persons in UK having that unit delivered by 1st of December 2017. I will try to say it short. This unit handles HDR at just completely different level for other projectors, it is throwing such a rich, saturated DCI/P3 Gamut Image, that you can't even imagine that PJ is capable of doing that. X9900 has only better blacks, anything else VW760ES is a winner.
