Pro quality ARC-F18 lens
For the ultimate in image precision, the VPL-VW890 ES uses Sony’s flagship lens – the ARC-F18. This all-glass, 18-element lens includes six Extra Low-Dispersion (ELD) elements for exceptional clarity. The lens delivers optimal red, green and blue primaries, even at the extreme edges of the screen. For a pristine image, right across the screen, this lens sets the highest standards.

Optional short throw lens
As an extra cost option, Sony offer the VPLL-Z7008, short throw lens. Ideal for smaller rooms, this lens reduces the throw ratio, making it possible to place the projector closer to the screen, while maintaining the screen image size and quality.

Laser light engine
Taking the ultimate technology in projectors, the VPL-VW890ES features Sony’s Z-Phosphor laser light engine. This offers many advantages, the first of which is the picture with superb levels of contrast and colour realism. The design should also last longer than a typical projector bulb and provide more consistent performance over its lifetime.

For the highest standards of detail and realism, the Sony VPL-VW890ES use native UHD 4K resolution. Projecting in this resolution gives detail and realism that's impossible to achieve with conventional Full HD resolution.
