MusicCast for music all around your home
The Yamaha RN303D is part of Yamaha's hugely impressive network audio system, MusicCast. With MusicCast you can control all your compatible Yamaha MusicCast products via your smartphone or tablet. Play the same music on all the components or split the sound into different zones for different moods in each room; the choice is yours. The MusicCast CONTROLLER app also lets you operate the speaker and change settings quickly and easily.
Advanced networking including Apple AirPlay and Bluetooth
Built-in Apple AirPlay means that you can stream music from your Apple iPod Touch, iPhone, iPad or other compatible Apple device, wirelessly. If you use another brand of smartphone or tablet then you've also got Bluetooth, for easy music streaming from your portable device.
Wi-Fi and DLNA for effortless streaming
Also standard with the RN303D is Wi-Fi, giving easy connection to your home network. A DLNA certified connection makes streaming a breeze. You can access your stored music from PC, laptop or NAS drive and listen to Internet radio stations.

With 100W per channel the RN303D is powerful enough to drive a wide range of speakers in even the largest rooms. With two sets of speaker outputs, there's enough power to run a second set of speakers in another room.

DAB and FM
With both DAB (Digital Audio Broadcasting) and FM tuners on-board, this Yamaha is ideally equipped for listening to a wide range of stations. Select DAB for a vast range of digital radio stations, including the popular BBC 6 Music, 4 Extra and 5 Live. DAB also lets you hear crisp, digital clarity of sound, free from interference. For local stations or a more expansive sound with national stations (roof mounted aerial recommended) FM is also on hand.

Great Tech Advice cumulated in RN303D Amp purchase
Hi I needed advice to link up a Rega Planar 1 deck, DJ PRE2 pre-amp and Q Aquastic 3020i speakers, the advice given was spot on my son had already bought the deck and pre-amp, so just needed Dad to buy the speakers for Xmas, I was told that’s all that was needed I knew in back of me head a decent amp was needed and specialist knew straight away what was needed we talked budget and various amps this Yama Ampnn BM is great in so many ways, I highly reomend this amp and Richersounds expertise. Mr R. Sweeting

Great service, great selection, great sound
I bought speakers, amp and cd player in the last few weeks. Tom at Richer Sounds in Bath was very helpful and accomodating to my needs and budget. He was also great at keeping me updated on delivery of the pieces etc.
The equipment itself is very good and for my price point I'm very pleased

Packed full of features! Pleasantly surprised!
Replacing my old Yamaha amp after 21 years of service... I opted for another Yamaha due its price point and just the incredible list of features on this amp.
I stream audio from my phone a lot, and the Yamaha app has been great to control the amp (with it being in a cabinet protected from kids the ability to turn it on and off with my phone is fantastic).
Streaming from Tidal is seamless, as is Spotify (through Spotify app), bluetooth works without a hitch. Internet radio stations opens up a whole world of listening I hadn't ever experienced before. I'll be giving the DAB radio a try in a bit.
Sounds lovely as well and I have no complaints what so ever.

Lots of up to date features, Plenty of power
I would recommend this amp for people who love to play with technology, it has loads of features to play with and it's the old stile looking amp with up to date tech. Bluetooth, DAB, Network, Connects to all new Tech plus Apple Mac.

Pleasantly surprised
I'm in the process of upgrading my old system and embracing new tech, so after a fair bit of research and pondering i hit upon the Yamaha RN303D to be paired with a new set of Mourdant Short M10 speakers, my old Kenwood CD player and an Ipod Touch 16GB.
To say i'm impressed is an understatement, the unit is superbly constructed and the features and connectivity are very simple to set up and use. Sound quality is excellent. The most surprising feature is the quality of the playback from the Ipod over both Bluetooth and AirDrop. Overall the RN303D is great value for money for the price.

Great sound, poor user interface
Great sound but terrible user experience - browsing DAB means tuning into each station, and each button pushed twice to change. No desktop app.
On the plus side once you're set up it works well. Great sound, the Android App isn't bad and can use a variety of sources.
Won't let you rename inputs is another niggle.

First Yamaha Amp
Having moved from analogue to digital, I was rather sceptical at first but all that worry has been flattened, this amp has the cleanest sound I've ever heard in recent years and is very cost effective, definitely worth the upgrade, now to get all my devices linked!

Great sound quality
I bought a pair of outside speakers and an amplifier for my hot tub area a couple of weeks ago and I’m Very pleased with the results. The only question I have is can the surround sound speakers not work with the TV speakers as well? They seem to override it.

Great for the money
Bought this RN303D to replace a mid 1980s Pioneer amplifier, connected it up to my similar aged B&W DM110 speakers and whilst the sound is not quite as rich in bass, it's perfectly acceptable. The internet setup is straight forward either using ethernet cable or wifi signal. The DAB tuner and internet radio are great with lots of memory presets. The remote controller buttons feel a bit flimsy and lack the positive touch of more expensive products but the remote isn't really needed once you get the Yamaha Musiccast app up and running from your mobile phone. This brings with it an almost seamless interface with other music apps I use Spotify which works very well on Musiccast. Only slight negative was pairing the RN303N with my Samsung Android phone, eventually linked after switching the RN303 off and on at the wall socket a couple of times.

Easy setup, Runs 2 sets of speakers and has the essential DAB for radio addicts like me, running on my old Gale speakers so getting ready to upgrade. Overall for me, this was the only choice.

Great features easy to set up.
I purchased this a few weeks ago after reading up about it and first i must say the Manchester staff were brilliant in their support and knowledge.
The amp itself is top notch. The sound quality is vastly improved on my previous Cambridge audio mk3.
I found the setup really easy to do and connectivity easy.
I really appreciate the Bluetooth feature to connect it to my computer.
I feel the changing of stations on the dab ti be a bit slow is the only negative

Fantasic sound and beautiful look
Had this for a week and despite the beautiful weather outside I'm giving up life out at my backdoor with a beer in favour of listening to my favourite records indoors (also with a beer) as I simply cannot get away from it. Works flawlessly Apple Music and Tidal, delivering top quality sound straight from my mobile phone or Macbook. I have it connected to my TV as well via optical cable and the improvement of the sounds while watching movies is undeniable. Works beautifully with Dali Spektor speakers - couldn't be happier with this set up.

Excellent!
I have tried many forms of sound system over the years. Moving to iTunes vie my phone and laptop, Sonos became my new way of listening to music at home. Their none support of older systems made me look again. I looked around at my options and went for the RN304D matching it to my old pre Sonos Mission speakers. Guess what, I have fallen in love with music again. I love Jazz and Rock and listening on Sonos had flattened everything. Now crisp, wonderful stereo is once more filling the room. The interface vie my phone and iPhones direct link to the system is an auditable wonder. My amazon TV plays though it with great results to. All in all, delighted. This backed with Richers support and service, is a no brainier.

Connected to a new outside DAB omi directional aerial, it certainly pulls in a good selection of DAB stations (where before, only received BBC national DAB)

A great network receiver at this price point!
For choice and service, Richer Sounds can't be beaten. After many years with a Marantz PM7200 Amplifier connected to a pair of Mordaunt Short Mezzo 6's, I decided to get into the 21st century and purchase Network Receiver in order to stream music from my computer. I got the shock of my life when I turned the Receiver on for the first time, there was much more detail in the music, and the individual instruments became easier to hear. I can't vouch for it's streaming ability yet, as I'm having broadband problems. When these have been resolved I'll report back. Once again it was a pleasure to do business with Richer Sounds!
